About U Drive Cover:

U Drive Cover Limited is an independent insurance intermediary wholly owned by a senior management team with over 50 years experience in the non-standard insurance market covering motor, commercial vehicle, fleet, household and motorcycle.

We welcome enquiries from customers with an accident or motoring conviction history as well as modified vehicles. We can offer up to 65% discount for ex company car drivers with an accident-free history or for households where there is more than one car. We also offer cover for any car from a Mini to a Ferrari and for all ages from 17 to 99.

U Drive Cover Limited was formed to offer customers a personal approach. We treat each customer as an individual and offer an excellent service. Coupled with our excellent relationships with major Insurers, this enables us to offer competitive premiums as well as the personal touch. For the convenience of customers we do offer online quotations and the opportunity to purchase online but we also feel that we can make a difference by listening to the customer’s individual needs.

The U Drive Cover Limited offices are based In the UK and are manned by staff that have many years’ experience in providing these products. We do encourage existing and new customers to call us as there are many rating factors that can influence car insurance premiums and we welcome the opportunity to listen to your needs. Our aim is to prove that excellent service does not mean that you have to pay higher premiums.

“If you want an insurance company that takes your money tells you you can’t drive your vehicle until someone get back in touch with you, to then have them cancel your policy 4 hours after paying for it and steal £75 for a cancellation fee for a policy that wasn’t active might I add, seeing as I was told I wasn’t legal on the road until someone called me back to confirm the policy was up and running. Then this is the company for you. Otherwise find another insurance company guys because this company is nothing but a bunch of thieves. The financial ombudsman have been informed of your actions.”

“Please please please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. TOTAL RIP OF. I bought my car insurance online tge next day got a call to say sorry but you have passed OUR verification check. Up the price from £615 to £935. I am begging you whoever you are don't buy from them.”

“Worse company takes your money then say’s it can’t proceed with that company but we’ve got another one but obviously it’s dearer then you have to wait up to 7 days to get your money back don’t go with this company udrive cover absolutely garbage”

However the customer service I received from Jamie Griffiths was absolutely fantastic and would like to thank him for guiding me throughout the whole process. “If you value your sanity do not use this company - they are a total rip off. The quote looks very competitive, but then you have to pass their "Verification Process" where they "find" reasons that you have low score (utter BS!) and have to add an extra cost to your premium. Then to add insult to injury when you decide to cancel the policy you are hit with a £75.00 charge, even if you policy has not started!! This is completely unfair and a way of making money from thin air.”

“Provided cover then validated all checks. 2 days later was called and asked to validate again which they told me was procedure. They then said that I had to pay another £100 as it had changed. I said I wouldn’t pay more, to which they cancelled my policy leaving me stranded with 2 young children in the car. They knew I was parked up with 2 kids while taking the call. Absolutely disgraceful!”

“Supposedly FCA authorised, but from my experience operate barely within their guidelines. Will give you a reasonable policy quote, take a £100 deposit and then find any reason they can to inflate your premium - mine started at 500 and 3nded up at 683 - so why not cancel? If you cancel, even within the 14 day 'cooling off' period you will lose your deposit, be liable for their 75£ exit fee plus a monthly fee of £15 per month for the remainder of the outstanding policy. Even once you have given them all your documentation, they will bombard you with threats of cancelling your policy in the first week unless you call their useless customer helpline (minimum of 25 minutes before you get through to a human). Once you have paid your deposit they have you by the short and curlies, with hindsight I should've lost the £100 rather than given business to these manipulating thieves. Avoid at all costs.”

“Worst insurance broker in the entire uk would strongly recommend avoiding at all cost if I could give lower than 1 star then I would be of. I’ve been with u drive cover for two years the first issue is giving my false quote then if there’s an issue you get passed left right and centre like a football. Then there biggest scam is the CANCELLATION FEE if you are unlucky to join this false company then to leave rhet charge at least %60 of your yearly premium the worse of it is I complained but didn’t get a response from the complain department because it’s probably non existent.”

“took the insurance out , never before did i have to keep on confirming my details. it was endless.. at every stage I was told nothing more to do then next dsy another email to say I NEED TO DO THIS otherwise it could be cancelled... in the end I cancelled”
