“I had Timberwise booked to do a timber and damp proof course survey and quote before I purchased a property. Rachel was amazing holding a slot for me while I mucked her about trying to negotiated access with the estate agents. In the end, I chose not to purchase the property but I would use Timberwise in the future because they were so accommodating.”

“Mid way though building work at our 500-year-old home in Taunton, Somerset, we stumbled across timber damage. Keith from Timberwise came out to survey the property and confirmed areas of historic and recent infestation of woodworm and also death watch beetle. Three weeks later Norman from Timberwise attended the property and over two days treated all the exposed timbers, loft timbers, floorboards, and under the floorboards. Although we could not be at the property at that time, Norman kept us in the loop with daily updates about the work he was carrying out. Following the treatment and on the advice of Timberwise and our builder we replaced three joists and some floorboards. Further down the line, as we put back the lifted floorboards, we contacted Norman to make sure the hardwax oil we planned to use would not adversely affect the Timberwise treatment and Norman was helpful and obliging in his advice. All the Timberwise staff we dealt with were friendly and efficient, from our first contact on the telephone to final correspondence with Jason Wakefield, the South West Regional Manager. Although we won't know for a few years whether the death watch beetle has been totally eradicated, everyone at Timberwise South West did a great job of reassuring us and were a pleasure to deal with.”

“I’ve just had some damp proofing work done in my house. I was very impressed with Timberwise, the admin staff and the survey were helpful and very professional. Carl the technician has done a brilliant job, the damp proofing is installed and the walls beautifully re-plastered and he left the house clean & tidy after. Thank you Timberwise”

“We have had a damp problem for a while now and due to Covid, been putting it off. When we did decide it was safe to get it sorted, we were given several different ideas of what should be done by other companies Rising damp was the issue and Dean Foster explained how the work would be. Work started on 23rd August & we have to say Ian did an absolute brilliant job. He arrived nice & early; explained what he was doing & didn’t stop for air. When completed, Ian helped my husband hoover the carpet & move furniture. He couldn’t have been more helpful.”

“This is our first home and when damp struck we were a bit worried as it's not something I've come across before and it seemed to get worse and we didn't know the source - I contacted Timberwise after seeing great reviews and I'm glad i did! Ella E who i spoke to initially was quick to respond and got the ball rolling and then Elaine K who i spoke to during the booking process/quote acceptance was again very fast to respond and answered every question I had in detail. Peter M, the surveyor who came to look at the property and knew what the cause was straight away and again explained everything to me in detail. The quote was sent through within days and everything was booked quickly. We have just had our work finished off over two days by technician Russ C. Russ was a very friendly bloke from the get go and very easy to talk to (i didn't want to disturb him too much and felt awful i couldn't keep him stocked up with cuppas and food due to covid). He took me through what he would be doing before he started and took me through every step as and when he did it which i thought was brilliant and really helped me understand the work done. He was very tidy, cleaned up after himself and has done a great job, couldn't have hoped for a better person to come work in our house. Something that may seem quite small to some people but this damp has really caused us a headache and worried us over the last few months and we're really glad we used Timberwise, thank you to everyone we came into contact with through the whole process as you were all fantastic and made this a lot easier.”

“Timberwise have been great and honoured my quote post 6 months as my move was delayed Ryan K has been the expert who has been professional ; friendly ; reassuring and in my view done an excellent job . He really would be someone I would recommend and should I need further work ( damp course in my lounge ) I would request Ryan again . Thoroughly pleased and reassured that the timbers replaced have been done to the highest of standards Ryan throughly cleaned and tidied and all debris was removed at the end of the job And of course all work is guaranteed Really five stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟 Sara”

“previously, we have always lived in a megalopolis , so we have no experience at all in solving problems with home repairs. Timberwise showed patience, explaining to us some of the features. Dave Knott fulfilled the work in two days, as it was planned. He worked carefully, the construction debris was removed. We are happy with his work.”

“The damp issue we had originally quoted for was far worse than initially anticipated, following a full site investigation. This seemed like the end of the world but Timberwise took the time to evaluate and adapt the scope of work to cover what was required to solve the issue (touch wood). We appreciated their attention to detail, communication and team work. “contacted Timberwise as a problem with wet rot in floor boards and poor ventilation had been identified. The matter was quickly assessed and advice given and the work was promptly done to rectify this. The technician Ryan K was helpful, efficient and pleasant. he left the room tidy and clean and I am very pleased with his work as carried out in Sheffield.”

“I contacted Timberwise to get an issue we had with woodworm. Keith came out and conducted a survey to establish the scale of the issue and an appropriate treatment plan. Not the easiest thing given the vaulted ceilings in our property. Price was very good and undercut a local pest control firm. On the day of treatment Mark and Norman from the South West Branch arrived on time and despite a few logistical issues at the start they worked really hard to get everything done on time. They were a pleasure to have in our home and left everything clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend them. Staff at office were also really helpful when booking.”
