“I was lucky enough to have Gary Carter look at a damp problem I had in my flat in London. He is a pleasure to work with and has a tremendous amount of knowledge so I felt reassured from the start. “Mark, James and the whole team at Timberwise were brilliant from start to finish. I had an issue with rising damp in my kitchen walls and floor. Having had quotes from several different local and national companies, I found Timberwise to be the most informed and attentive. They gave me the greatest confidence they could identify and actually fix the problem, whereas other companies seemed like they didn't know what they were doing and were just looking to make money. Timberwise did a free survey and provided a written report detailing the causes of the various issues and recommendations to fix the problem. After booking them, they installed a new chemical damp proof course and a water and salt resistant render, floor membrane, and vapour barrier. The work was booked in at speed and completed over the course of a week. It came with lengthy guarantees. I'm very happy with it and would definitely recommend them to others looking to get damp proofing works completed. I would particularly like to thank Mark, who was a pleasure to have on site doing the work and James who did the initial survey and helpfully answered a range of questions I had throughout the works.”

“Peter from Timberwise came over to inspect the beams in our attic for woodworm. He was extremely thorough, making sure to check even the hard-to-reach timber. Fortunately for us, he found that the holes were historic, so no action was needed. Peter also flagged a few minor issues in our eaves for us to keep an eye on in future. Highly recommend.”

From the very beginning, the process was smooth, well organised, and clearly explained, which gave me a lot of confidence at what was a challenging time. Rachel in the office and Liz, the surveyor, were absolutely fantastic. Both went above and beyond to support me through some very difficult circumstances, taking the time to understand my situation and genuinely trying to help. “Instructed Timberwise to undertake a full damp survey of our small town house on Anglesey. The property was suffering from mould on walls and ceilings. The Surveyor Kevin Riley clearly explained the problem was a lack of ventilation. He clealry and professionally explained to both the tenant and I what was necessary to minimise future problems. “Carlsberg has a famous advertising phrase "If Carlsberg did......". Well if Carlsberg were involved in Timber preservation & Care then Timberwise would probably the best timber care company in the world. It all started with a phone call to Timberwise who were exceptionally helpful, putting my worries at rest and within days an expert by the name of Duncan MacKinnon called round. Duncan is a great guy and really knows his stuff. He uses plain language so you fully understand and the next day a full report, free of charge, was emailed to me, yes at zero cost. I phoned to book in the work required and then I got a call back to say then can fit me in in 4 days time, yes 4 days, what a service! The workmen arrived, great team who even helped move the carpet! They were polite and had respect for your home. It is clear the whole company works as one team. A massive thank you to everyone at Timbercare, if I could give you more than 5 stars I would.”

“We're in Dorset, and are most grateful for the work that has just been done for us this week by Dylan Robinson, with a real eye for detail, an impressive skill-set and a clear desire to finish the job well and to the very best of his ability; and he left us with lots of useful advice about maintaining the surrounding area. “We recently had Martin from Timberwise Leeds attend our farmhouse and barn renovation project to carry out a full survey of all the timbers, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Martin thoroughly inspected every piece of structural and non-structural timber throughout the property and was extremely knowledgeable, professional and detailed in his approach. He gave us very helpful advice and recommendations on the best treatments to preserve the original timbers, while also guiding us on how to improve their appearance so they can become real feature elements within the renovation.
