“Hi there, we'd been unfortunate to have brought in a company called Bell Preservation who are located in Fife. His report was a poorly written email detailing 8.5k of work that didn't exist. Timberwise were recommended to me and a chap called forrest came out to the property. He done a thourough external and internal survey culminating in a very professional report detailing that all we needed was a couple of extractor fans. He also offered to help out further down the line and speak about his findings if required. Forrest was professional and honest as well as extremely knowledgeable. Honest people like Forrest are an asset to any company, particularly his willingness to highlight con merchants work etc. 10 out of 10 from me. “From start to finish Jack (surveyor) gave us his undivided attention , offering us very good advice about financial management, coupled with maintaining high standards throughout. He liaised with his technicians, met with us while we were living away while the treatment was completed and overall, he, Rickie and Stuart (technicians) provided a professional job, on time and on price.. “Super service from Timberwise, from the practical and detailed survey from Liz to the detailed, clean work to install membrane and tanking to hall. Particularly noteworthy was Jonny, carrying out the installation who noted and advised there were wet timbers at the base of the banister…not originally part of the work planned. it led to me (us) taking apart the base of the staircase (with his help). Previous contractors had avoided this…and it was absolutely essential to fully remediate the property…slow ongoing damp had ravaged the timbers at the base of the stairs. So much better to repair and know the damage from damp has been fully corrected.”

“Prompt service for the survey, followed by a chat with Liz. An appointment arranged fairly quickly to have work done. James arrived to carry out the spraying etc on time and was very professional. Ours was not an easy job but he navigated his way through the problems and was amenable at all times. Our overall experience of Timberwise has been of high quality at all times. I would most certainly recommend this company to friends etc. I liked the fact that you could talk to actual people at any point , which is very comforting these days. “From the moment I spoke to Kerri on the phone in the Glasgow office to the minute Jack left me in my house with a comprehensive plan in place to resolve the damp and mould issues another company were saying I had, the service was impeccable. They were quick, followed through on everything they said they would do - and in a timely fashion - and took time to answer the millions of questions I had to ensure I understood everything they were explaining to me. Never once did I feel I was being talked down to or wasting their time. Just an amazing service and I'm so grateful for their help. Really, really knowledgeable about what houses need and didn't take advantage of a widowed woman without a clue. Offered realistic, cost-effective fixes that feel manageable and (now) make complete sense. I'd give this company - and Kerri and Jack in the Glasgow office - 12 stars if I could and I would (and will!) recommend them without hesitation to anyone and everyone.”

“If I could give 6 stars I would! I have found Timberwise to be a professional company. I just had an assessment with Stuart McGinlay from the Glasgow office and I couldnt have hoped for a more knowledgeable, kind and patient expert to advise me of the reality and implications of my situation. Straight speaking and an honesty that should not have surprised me. What to do if I want a real solution and what not to do to avoid throwing money away. He was more interested in helping me find out what is real and possible than selling me work. He is fully qualified, unlike the previous gentleman who quoted me and whose guarantee was probably not worth the paper written on. Dont settle for an unqulified opinion, you are most likely wasting your money as I would have been with my first qoute. If you need help in the Glasgow area contact Timberwise and maybe you will get Stuart! I must stress this is a totally indipendent review. “Excellent service from Timberwise. I contacted them after a snagging report suggested my roof structure had missing support and possible structural issues, which left me very worried, especially as the developer was no help. Steve visited this morning and carried out a careful visual inspection of the loft. He explained clearly that the structure appears to be fine and that no further work is needed at this stage. What impressed me most was their honesty. They could easily have recommended unnecessary work and charged me for repairs, but they didn’t. They were professional, straightforward and even agreed to provide a short written visual report for reassurance. Really grateful to Steve and the Timberwise team. Highly recommended.”
