“Since first contacting the original Bed Co. with queries about their beds, the customer service I received was exemplary. I purchased a small double bed and a mattress for our teenage son. The bed is beautiful, fabulous quality, sturdy and was easy to put together. The mattress is excellent and our son loves it, not that he needs any excuse to sleep more! We will be purchasing another bed in the near future. Highly recommend!”

“The website is, clearly, not managed well. We ordered our new bed by phone, emphasising that we had a short lead time and had chosen a bed that was, according to the website, in stock. When we heard nothing, I telephoned again and got through to the London showroom rather than customer services. A very helpful chap checked and said that the bed wasn't in stock and delivery would be at least 6 weeks, possibly longer. He helped me find a suitable alternative, placed my order and promised a refund of the difference in the cost. The bed arrived within days, was easy to put up and is just what we need. Shame the website is poorly maintained, and there's no excuse for taking our original order and not alerting us to the availability problem. Would we use this company again? Probably, but with caution and more questions.”

“Absolutely love our new bed. Bought the kingsize Edwardian bed frame and juno cashmere mattress together. Frame looks good and is very sturdy mattress is the best mattress I've ever had . Really comfortable. Delivered within 5 days of ordering as all in stock . Would recommend”

“The beds are beautiful. You can tell they are really well built. Easy enough to put together and they look great. The only negatives were the delivery system. There was no way to opt out of delivery slots that were offered. So I had a message telling me that the beds would be delivered on a day that I wasn't in (cue frantic call to my mum)! They char system had told me just to wait and other slots would open up. So something not quite right there. The volume and different types of packaging should also be reviewed. I appreciate they want the goods to arrive in peak condition (which they did), but four different types of plastic is silly in this day and age. So big thumbs up for the product itself, but please think about packaging more sustainably!”

“From initial order to dropping the mattress on the constructed bed frame, everything was really straightforward. Really robust bed frame, looks great, fairly straightforward to assemble for a half competent DIYer. Great product, great service, UNBELIEVABLY well packed - every part of it was wrapped up. We love it, and it's solid as a rock, which it needs to be as I'm something of a chunky specimen... Great after-sales service too.”

“The bed is really solid and well made, you can tell it’s quality, as is the mattress. It’s nice and high and the under bed drawers are great. Service was on time and Nick was really helpful every time I called for an update. My only regret is ordering the pewter effect instead of the standard black. The pewter effect cost more but it looks a bit flat to me, more like powder coated aluminum which cheapens it a little bit. The other thing is the courier company didn’t bring the bed into the house because of COVID. We live in a low risk area, and everyone else had delivered smaller items into the house so moving a heavy super king size mattress upstairs between the two of us was unexpected.”

“The bed arrived on time and was well packaged. It wasn’t difficult to assemble and there were no missing or damaged parts. It was extremely good value and is of very nice quality - sturdy and attractive. It is used in a holiday let and our guests have been very complimentary. We would definitely purchase from The Original Bed Company again.”

“I ordered a Virginia glossy ivory bedstead. It was my third choice.... Others were up to 9weeks wait. As I wanted a bed quickly this one was in stock and was delivered within 4days of ordering. It is a lovely simple classy bed frame and well made. The customer service were very helpful and sent me a email listing the beds they had in stock for 3-5 days delivery. Delivery guys were brilliant kept me updated and rang me to say they were half hour away. Very impressed from ordering to delivery.”
