We were not blown away by the range of beds at the London store, but the customer service was very good and we were able to see how well made and sturdy the beds were and we tried the mattresses for comfort too. At the beginning of November we eventually opted for the super king Selkirk in pewter with nickel finials and a firm mattress, not expecting the bed to be with us until the New Year. During the 10th week after placing the order I emailed to ask for an estimated delivery date, bearing in mind the Christmas break and the many Covid related staff absences. I received a very apologetic email the very next day with a delivery date for the following week. Sure enough, Arrow made contact to arrange delivery within that time. The two guys who delivered the bed were happy to manhandle it upstairs for us. The bed was very well packaged (necessitating a trip to the local recycling centre) and although I've seen clearer instructions, I've also seen far worse. The accompanying tools were fairly basic but to be honest who doesn't have a spanner and Allen key in their toolbox? Once assembled the bed looks and feels amazing. The construction is solid and sturdy - no squeaking etc and the mattress is just perfect too. Having trawled the local bed stores and failing to be inspired by a whole range of divans, ottomans, headboards and sleigh beds, we were so glad that we made the day trip to London to visit the Original Bed Company. Looking forward to many years of comfortable sleeping!
