We love our new bed! We’re a big couple, but this bed is solid! Clear and concise instructions for assembling, superb quality throughout…we just can’t fault it.

Overall - good quality. Bolts just need re-tightening after the first few months. Delivered in a reasonable timeframe (not-withstanding the unavoidable covid supply chain delay). Easy to assemble. The only quality issue (aside from the need to retighten bolts) is that the wooden slats are rough/unfinished. It would be preferable to have smooth finished/varnished slats.

I am so pleased with my new bed , it’s beautiful , well made and easy to put together , it is very sturdy .The delivery men were so help and professional wore face covering . I would purchase again from the Original bed company , they kept me up today with date and time of delivery . Thank you

Very happy with our purchase! Not surprised though, as we have had another two OBC bed in our home for the last 15 years and they’re still like new. Lovely solid, well made bed frames.

This is our second purchase from The Original Bed Company and we are really pleased with the bed. It is lovely and solid and substantial. It was easy to put together but definitely needed two people to do.

Very pleased with the King Size double bed, pleased with the quality and easy to put together. No rattles at all, feels very sturdy and will in the near future buy another from this company. Excellent!

Excellent company!! Delivery was quick (6 days over Christmas period) and I was kept updated with the progress. We purchased the Hamilton low footend frame and Juno Silk mattress. The frame is beautifully made, sturdy with no movement or creaking when we're in bed and was easy to put together. It took 2 of us to do it as we have the superking size. The mattress is the best I've ever owned! Our previous was a hybrid that we had to get a topper for as it was like sleeping on concrete. Not this one. It's firm enough to give the support needed and so we don't feel each other moving in the night, but soft enough that we don't wake up in the morning with aching limbs as we did with our old mattress. I sleep on my side and front and my partner sleeps on his back. This mattress is perfect for both of us. We're both hot sleepers, even in winter, and have found the Juno Silk mattress keep's us cooler at night. I hadn't heard of this company before, so was a bit nervous about buying from them which was unnecessary. I wouldn't hesitate in buying another bedframe and mattress from OBC. Very reasonably priced too compared to others out there. Especially for the quality. Only problem we have is getting up for work in the morning as we don't want to get out of bed. Thank you OBC!

Timolin king size. Great quality sturdy bed. I went to the warehouse in Corby on Fri afternoon to see the quality of the beds before buying online. I spoke to Mathew and he had options for me in stock so I bought one. It goes together very easily and is super strong and will last a lifetime.

Expected a quality made bed frame but received a bed frame that was not quality ( welds poor and not straight, heavy dust on parts , ordered super king size bed - legs were cut 3/4 down poorly with rust on joints ? ) .

Already have a bed and Mattress, decided to order another mattress for a Christmas present. The staff are so friendly, my order was placed, to our delight they could send it within the week. Last time we had to wait for them to make which I was happy to do. The mattress is so comfortable. If you looking for a sturdy bed and beautiful mattress, no problem with sleep, excellently priced, I can't recommend highly enough.

Love our new bed. Looks very classy and so easy to put together. Great quality and strong. We got a drawer out into ours and it's again, really simple to fit.

Ugh, this is one of those life lessons where I didn't read the Trust Pilot reviews. Absolutely no people skills or customer service. I was treated horrendously by them. I ordered a bed (not cheap, just over £1000) two weeks ago. I emailed to ask if there was one in stock and ready for Xmas. They abruptly said 'No, 9-12 weeks for delivery'. OK, no worries. Not particularly friendly, but no problem so far. They then send me an email saying 'Your order has been processed and we are now working on getting it to you". I assumed, as would any sentient being, that this mean my ORDER had been processed and they were trying to get it to me. It then went on to say, WHAT NOW? And I quote 'Now we'll get your products ready for despatch.' So I send an email saying "Wow, thank you so much for doing it so quickly. Really made my Xmas!" No reply. In the meantime, I sell my existing bed and buy a new mattress which is about to be delivered. 4 days later, as I expect they are busy, I call to ask if it is easier if I book a courier. I manage to speak to essentially an automaton. Frankly an answer machine would have been more empathetic and understanding. He condescendingly implied that I was an idiot for assuming that 'Your order has been processed' actually meant that. He said that it meant that my payment had been processed. Why didn't it say that then? Besides, I knew that. I already had their confirmation as such and it's debited my bank. I ask why they don't just send an email saying 'Your payment has been processed.' to which he said, 'No one's ever misinterpreted it before.' That is surely a lie. Both my husband and I read that email and deduced the same thing. Not only that but he said that my email saying I was so happy it had been finished earlier (when it hadn't) didn't warrant a reply because it 'didn't have any evidence attached that I thought it had been finished earlier.' Really? What were they expecting? A brain scan? A photo of me selling my old bed? An affadavit? A selfie of my jumping up and down? I asked if it would be possible just to change one word in the email to 'Your PAYMENT has been processed.'? Then he slammed the phone down on me. Nice. I'm sure they won't even deliver it now. BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Hi India, Many thanks for taking the time to provide a review. I notice you state that you should have read the reviews. We currently have a star rating of 4.8 out of 5 based on 1,265 verified reviews. As a small family business that's been trading for over 20 years, we're very proud of this. Looking at our records, I can see that after ordering the bed, which was advertised as 9-11 at the point of order, you were sent a payment confirmation also stating a 9-11 week lead time. On receiving this, you sent an email to see if this could be made, quicker, but were told that it could not be. We value all of our customers and don't like to push others ahead in the queue. I will speak to the team about adding the word sorry though, to sound less abrupt, which we take on board. I can also see you were sent a 'Thank you for your order' email, which made you believe your bed was ready. Again this gave a lead time of 9-11 weeks. In regards to the 'Getting ready for despatch' the very next sentence states that this includes making, packing, and shipping the item. We have used this exact process of quoting the lead time at the point of order, the payment confirmation receipt, and the 'Thank you for your order' email with the same wording for over a year now and we have not had this confusion. We will however look to see how the wording can be changed, given the way that you interpreted it, and the subsequent issues it's caused by you selling your bed. In regards to the phone call. I have listened to this and will speak to our customer services representative about sounding less like a robot, but we do often look to adopt a more neutral tone when the person on the other end is raising their voice. He does also on numerous occasions state that he understands your situation, but was unable to get the bed to you any quicker. This is unfortunately true, and whilst I understand that it was not what you wanted to hear, it was more a case of being honest and upfront with you rather than lacking empathy. We never encourage our employees to make a promise they can't meet. He did however at the end of the call promise to look at the wording, which is in hand, before ending the call. Finally, as mentioned above, we are a long-standing family business that will certainly deliver your bed; and do so within the 9-11 weeks we have promised throughout the process. We would also not hesitate to provide a full refund if you feel that we will do anything other than this. Best wishes, The Original Bed Company
