“The bed is nice but the delivery was appalling my 3 hour window was given the day before as 5-8pm, but they called that morning to say they’d be there at midday. They then turned up at 1 having delivered part of my bed to another customer and spent another hour retrieving it. It also wasn’t clear how to assemble the bed, no instructions given, the only instructions online were for the iron bedstead which we didn’t have. No option online to pay for assembly. I like the bed but I wouldn’t recommend to anyone else.”

“I'm delighted with my bed from The Original Bed Company. Its extremely well made and I'm very happy with the design and colour, there is such a lovely range to choose from! This is a high quality product. I also bought a mattress, a bit risky online, but it lives up to the description and is perfect! Everything was delivered in the time specified to the room of my choice.”

“The only thing I was not very happy that when we came to build the bed on a newly fitted carpet we discovered the legs were full of rust which marked the brand new carpet this is the second bed we have purchased and this did not occur the first time.”

“We have a small family-run guesthouse in the Lake District, we had been looking for a metal framed bed that looked beautiful and also met the requirements we needed. For example, we needed the frame to super-sturdy and wanted a shorter foot end to the bedstead, we also really wanted to buy British and have faith that we can order more of the exact same design in the future, The Original Bed Company has exceeded our expectations. We also love the colour and finish, guests are already commenting on how lovely the bed is and how it suits the room perfectly. Keep up the excellent work and friendly customer service, all is appreciated x”

“We debated for some time about which bed to buy, and we couldn't be more pleased we settled on The Original Bed Company. We went for the upholstered Yushan Deep Buttoned headboard, which is beautiful and I now feel like I sleep in a luxury hotel! The mattress is very deep and incredibly comfy in an attractive ticking stripe, and we loved their range of natural fibres. The bed and mattress are such great quality and we feel like we've purchased a bed of real craftsmanship and longevity. We are thrilled with our purchase!”

“We went to Corby to see the options available for the new bed and ordered one later that week. It arrived packaged beautifully on the due date and was put together without any problems. I can't tell you how pleased I am with the bed. It is sturdy and looks beautiful. Well done The Original Bed Company I will be back when I need another.”

“This bed could not be any better it is very well manufactured and was so easy to assemble. It is made with good heavy gauge materials and the paint finish is great. It was delivered within a week of placing order and the delivery company was very helpful with meeting my requirements. It was also very well packaged. I highly recommend this company you will not be disappointed with the quality of their products.”

“Brilliant service and brilliant beds. Shipped x3 beds & mattresses to France from UK and everything was perfect- honestly it does what it says, super quality, easy to put up and comes with tools and super easy instructions! Mattress very comfortable too - we are very happy and thankful to have OBC beds”

“This is a fabulous bed. Full stop. We ordered a super king Juno cashmere mattress with Hamilton Solo bed frame in black. There was a few week’s delay in delivery, but no problem as we needed time to move out the old Iron Bed Company frame into the guest room. The mattress and frame were delivered by two gents to our bedroom. Great job. Assembly instructions were provided. These were ok, but not up to IKEA simplicity levels. In fact the final attachment of the top head and foot rails could not be completed in the order defined. I have raised this with OBC & I hope they update the instructions. A super king mattress is 80Kg ! This makes turning & rotation very difficult. The biggest complaint for me is the quality/finishing of the slats the mattress rests on. They are NOT smooth or varnish (unlike our 25 year old Iron Bed Company bed frame. This means you get splinters off the slats. And it is difficult to slide the mattress on them. Splinters get into the mattress. OBC must do a better finishing job. I will have to hand smooth each slat and varnish it. So the reason for the 5* rating is the quality of the frame, the build and fining the mattress. And the mattress has no man made materials - they are all natural. Excellent nights sleep. Highly recommended”
