“The bed has yet to be constructed as we are awaiting some work tobe completed in the room first. However all the main pieces are in good condition. The only issue I have is with the delivery company, the driver was extremely rude and refused to step inside the property meaning I had to manhandle the pieces myself with the help of the second delivery guy. Most unacceptable”

“The bed is lovely, very well made and so comfortable!! I knocked a star of because I think a courtesy call after the bed had been delivered would have been excellent customer service ...didn't receive any call.”

“Wanted and ordered a mattress from them top of the range great when choosing and staff fantastic. But finished up having to cancel because delivery being made from large outside company who wanted to deliver at 6.00am in the morning with no care about customers premises as they insisted they would still wear their safety shoes and expected customers to protect flooring. Impossible having a solid oak stair tradesmen either wore overshoes or trainers to prevent damage. Explained our problem and told could not do anything about this as Original Bed as a company had no control over delivery. Great shame they refunded money very quickly and we still have not got ourselves A NEW MATTRESS as to be honest cannot find a good option. If only had been able to organise direct delivery from the factory to our home only a hour deal would have been done. We do think the mattresses look great and there has obviously been a change as the website mentions access for wheelchairs etc., and this would not be possible as the mattresses are upstairs and not really laid out as a showroom but staff makes up for this with their attention/”

“Lovely bed and mattress, surprised at the good quality for the price frankly. Very robust bed, great design, looks good quality as well as feels it. Mattress (the wool one) is brilliant, very comfortable. The only reason it’s 4 not 5 stars is because the slats are a manufactured material not pure wood, which I would have preferred”

“The bed looks very good, and fitted together well. It feels solid and does not squeak. Most happy with it. Given the price is somewhat less than others, I think the quallity is very good. Also helpful to have a showroom out of London. I suspect the assembly instructions were a little confusing, but that is minor. Likewise, I am most happy with the mattress.”

“Didn’t mind the wait for delivery, kept up to date with emails. Assembly was simple, and the drawers are good. The slats are a bit roughly finished but the bed is very comfortable. Still solid after a few months. We had hoped the bed was made in UK. Overall very happy with it.”

“Product seems well built, delivery was good and options for design were great. Only slight downside is that the frame fixings are quite visible and that the design we chose does not really frame the mattress and it can easily slide from side to side. Overall great value for money though”

“Overall pleased with the end product although there one of the bedknobs was slightly damaged. I had arranged a delivery date with the delivery company and paid extra for a specific date only ti receive a text that morning to say it wasn't coming and I then had to chase them do deliver after not hearing anything. I had already waited 3 months for it to be despatched.”

“Had the beds delivered to France, love the beds. Good quality, sturdy and comfy. One bed was damaged (hence 4 stars) when it arrived (broken leg) however it was quickly replaced no problem. Will order again.”

“Very comfortable, but it smells of sheep wool, which I know it has sheep wool in it, but I didn’t expect it to be such a strong smell. It still smells now, but lucky for you I’m a retired sheep farmer. The smell doesn’t detract from the wonderful quality or comfort.”

“The bed was tremendous value for money. Assembly was no issue and it's strong and looks good. Would be 5 stars only one part had internal rust mark, I did report it but heard nothing back. Having said that I would buy from them again.”

“Customer service and delivery great. The bed looks really beautiful and I would order another one or reccomend the company if need be. The only dissapointing thing was I found the mattress to become harder months later and is quite uncomfortable now.”

“I've purchased two double bedsteads from OBC in the past few months. Easy to assemble, good look and good quality. Also bought a double mattress (wool interlayer), which is exceptionally comfortable.”

“Points positifs: Je suis très satisfaite de la qualité du produit. Le lit est magnifique et très confortable. Points négatifs: Une pièce était défectueuse et j'ai dû attendre très longtemps avant d'en recevoir une nouvelle. J'ai dû envoyer plusieurs emails pour obtenir enfin ce remplacement. On m'avait confirmé par email que les taxes anglases me seraient remboursées lorsque j'aurais payé les taxes suisses. J'ai écrit et envoyé la preuve de payement de ces taxes suisses à plusieurs reprises et j'attends toujours ce remboursement. Conclusion: Produits de qualité, mais service client et service après vente pas à la hauteur... Dommage”

“Overall - good quality. Bolts just need re-tightening after the first few months. Delivered in a reasonable timeframe (not-withstanding the unavoidable covid supply chain delay). Easy to assemble. The only quality issue (aside from the need to retighten bolts) is that the wooden slats are rough/unfinished. It would be preferable to have smooth finished/varnished slats.”
