“Decided to purchase a pallet of 70 bagged ash, (normally buy logs in the crate),as it is easier to stack in the wood shed. The logs are all ash this time. In the past there have been a small quantity of "alien" wood in a load, so it was good to know that it is no longer the case. As ever the wood is all dry and burns with a good heat. Logs do need some moisture content to burn well, too dry will burn away quickly, too wet and will burn but with reduced heat. L/W logs are just right. Again as ever the delivery was spot on, having had a call the previous day with the option of an AM or PM delivery. We have a somewhat restricted lane, but have never had an issue with delivery. So it goes to show that deliveries can go well. We have had numerous loads from L/W over the past years, so it was disappointing to be told that having upgraded there computer system, my past order history was no longer available.That's a minor grip which will not stop me ordering again in a few months”

“Delivery was prompt and delivery man very pleasant and helpful. We bought a full crate of kiln dried oak. We find the oak burns slower than soft woods and it is nice and hot in our boiler stove. Plus as it is kiln dried we know the moisture level is definitely less than 20 percent, keeping our stove clean.”

“The delivery was cancelled twice as they told me they could not unload a pallet on the hill with one man. They should have looked this up earlier although previous pallet deliveries over the past three years has not been an issue. When the lorry eventually turned up the platform was faulty and they could not lower it and had to hand ball the packs off. The manager of the transport company was most unhelpful and refused to give me an estimated time of delivery so that I could arrange help to unload into my garden. I advised him I was an elderly person but he was not interested in being helpful. He told me he had not had advice that the delivery was on a hill and that he would not have taken the order if he had known, he was not very customer focused and almost made me feel responsible for the inconvenience. He did however in the end arrange a early delivery as I had requested to give me all day to unload them into my garden, it would have helped if he could have confirmed this so I could have organised some help.”

“The wood delivered was of good quality. My only issue was with the delivery company. I waited in all day on the day on the day of delivery and they didn’t turn up instead they rang me at 5 and said they weren’t coming.”

“I have used the company twice now for their Kiln dried oak logs (full crate) and their service is impeccable, right from ordering through to delivery. The product is excellent quality, packed well and the drivers always go out of their way to help you. Nothing is too much trouble. Have already recommended them to a neighbour.”

“The order was delivered on time. Delivery service were very helpful. The wood was as described, dry and burns very well indeed. What a relief, as a lot of people seem to have no appreciation of what is wet and what is dry when it comes to wood burning stoves.”
