“My last order was not up to the usual standard of logs. Many more shorter ,well under 250mm long not a problem in itself but overall lessens the volume and weight received. The crate was the cheapest ash logs currently available. Good quality logs are becoming very hard to find. Would not recommend as received this time. Well wrapped and protected it has to be said.”

“I have been purchasing wood from this company for 4 years now and had now issues, the order has been quick to arrive and I have received a telephone call from the courier to arrange a specific delivery day. However this years delivery went a little wrong and I came home from a long 4.5 hour journey to find the crate dropped on the drive and then having to spend another 2 hours moving the wood into my storage place (courier normally delivers and places the crate in the storage area with the pallet lift). I did not seem to get a phone call from the courier however I have been getting an excessive volume of scam calls to my mobile so not sure who is to blame. If you are in my position with lots of scam calls, you need to endeavour to answer unrecognised numbers as it maybe the courier. It maybe helpful for Luxury Wood to update the customer with courier details so any courier phone calls can be filtered out.”

“This was my first delivery from Luxury Wood .All looks good and well packed on the pallet as described. However not so good on delivery.Given that I am 83 I needed to arrange for assistance to be on hand .I was told that I would be notified 24 hrs ahead of delivery.The driver called me 30mins before he would be arriving.I must say that the driver was most helpful and would not take any form of gratuity.Fortunately a passer by offered a helping hand and and the pallet was quickly moved to the back of the garage. I must stress that it is is vital for advance delivery time be given 24hrs ahead of delivery. I have given this review 4 * but it was close to being 3* because of the delivery issue.”

“The wood always arrives well wrapped and dry. Have noticed in the last 3 years that some wood is very light compared to the excellent quality a few years prior and not sure why this is. Delivery has also changed, in the past I would get a phone call from the shipping company but now they just turn up with the wood at my door. Luckily I’ve been at home but what if I wasn’t?”

“Prompt delivery and have previously used Luxury Wood Company pellets and have no problems. Unfortunately 3 bags on the pallet were damaged and pellets were spilling out. From experience I choose to dispose of damage bags as they might of absorbed moisture and could affect boiler operation. I believe the damage occurred during transit which I cannot hold Luxury Wood Company responsible for”

“After looking at all the options for building raised beds for my potting shed project I finally decided oak would be the sensible choice... especially since I found this company on the web. The oak planks were exactly as described and delivered when they said they would be. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company... I just hope they keep the price as competitive as it is because I have another project in mind using these oak planks.”

“Product is good however I have noticed log lengths are 1-2 inches shorter than last year, same number of logs per net, but at yet an even higher price! The very definition of shrinkflation. Good delivery from very helpful driver from Baytree Transport, Newbury”

“I have had a few pallets of wood in the past, the quality of the wood is still very good, it’s a lot of money to pay at once to get the best price for the nets, but worth it. Ready to burn which is good for the environment and the wood burner.”
