“Good quality as usual although considerably more expensive than the first lot I bought from them two years ago. Delivery has also improved now as the carrier had a powered pallet truck which not only improved the safety of getting them on and off the tail lift but also meant they were put straight in the garage.”

“Overall happy. The oak was very nice and a great price. Some picky points: the oak arrived with some black marks and slight banding marks. The delivery was not made by hiab crane as instructed on the website although this was still fine, lastly we were phoned in the week a few days before delivery to be told we would get the delivery on Saturday and would be given a time slot closer to the time. However we waited in the whole day with no warning and then when all hope was lost at around 5pm the truck arrived outside. I was later told this was because the business is close diver the weekend, so bear that in mind that you won't receive a delivery time slot over the weekend. But that's being picky, overall very good!”

“Two loads of oak sleepers for landscaping purposes. Good quality. Cost of sleepers very reasonable compared to others. Delivery very reasonable. Offloaded where wanted, both drivers very professional. Apart from offcuts every sleeper used. Service excellent delivered as said on their website.”

“Logs for the past three deliveries were very small in section. This for me means they burn up very quickly representing poor value for money. Over the past three years your logs have got much smaller, pitty!”

“ordered 6 sleepers, sadly there were big pieces missing which lost the smoothness as I used these for a raised veg area Also, one of the sleepers was quite warped so had lots of issues when squaring-up”

“So, my order was for 100x100 posts and 50x200 planks. I needed this for a fence I was building to separate parts of my garden. I wanted oak instead of softwood equivalents as I didn't need to treat, more sturdy and looks better (in my opinion) although slightly more expensive. The wood came within the time frame specified and the correspondence was good so no complaints there. The wood itself is very nice, differences in colours amongst them with slight imperfections as described like knots etc... The issue I have given the project I'm doing is the cutting of the wood at the saw mill and the straightness of the wood itself. The posts aren't that much of a problem as they needed cutting anyway which lessened the problem with them but laying the planks on top of each other and in full lengths is a nightmare. I've put a couple of pics up to show.”

“The logs delivered were on the whole good quality, but the crate was significantly underfilled to the degree that it could have held at least another layer. Perhaps this is how profits are maintained? The delivery driver was cheerful and most helpful but communication from the depot regarding the delivery time was wholely inaccurate. This is the second time I have had an underfilled crate, which is disappointing and might lead one to think again before ordering in the future”

“Not overly impressed if I’m being honest. For starters the sleepers should have been delivered on a truck with a crane so I could have them put over my wall exactly where I wanted them. This is stated on there website. Instead they came on a massive lorry with a forklift. That meant I had to put them on my drive and move them 70 meters to where I wanted them. It’s not fun moving 55 off 125 x 225 x 2.4 meter oak sleepers! The quality is rubbish as far as I’m concerned, I had 3 sleepers that were completely rotten, big holes all the way through them. Then the sizes were all over the place, no good when trying to build a nice supporting wall laying them flat. I had ones that were 140mm thick one end and 120mm the other. 220mm widths to 245mm. None of the ends were square so had to square all the ends up. I had to plane pretty much all of them to get them to fit due to all the thickness’s being out. I wasn’t expecting them to be perfect as they are landscape grade, but some sort of consistency would have been nice. They were the cheapest I could see, maybe that’s the issue. Pay cheap and get worse quality. Wish I used a local company now that was slightly more expensive but the quality is better. I won’t use this company again unfortunately. Probably fine if you don’t care about the size issue, but not for me.”
