“I bought nine 2.4m x100x200mm (8x4”) for a raised bed. Delivery was good, if a bit early 06:50 - fortunately we were the second delivery of the day! The wood was pretty much as expected - landscape grade - basically it’s the center of the tree that’s no use for furniture timber. Most sleepers included the pith which is why the wood is so prone to splitting. But this wood is much better than some I’ve seen - only one sleeper was really bad, with a split right through from side to side stretching over nearly a third of the sleeper. Overall, though I was satisfied with the timber. The price was ale good, with some big name diy outlets selling soft wood for similar, if not higher prices. Also be was of L Oak on eBay, I nearly bought some and the L stands for “like oak” Sounds a bit of a con to me. One final point, the machining off the oak was very good, with pretty square edges and no twisting along the length and none of the deep bandsaw gouges you see in some timber. Would use again.”

“The sleepers I had delivered were fantastic, can't fault the quality at all. Having the delivery by hi-ab was great and meant I didn't need to do any unloading. The service was great in that respect. I'm sure I got unlucky but there were issues on 2 days causing my delivery to be delayed, I took the day off to receive the delivery on the final day and after calling at about 4:30pm I was informed the delivery would be about 7pm. Not ideal and a little late for a delivery but just in time for me to get the job done, if it arrived the next day I would have missed a day of work and lost a day of work. It didn't however so I'm very grateful the delivery driver could still drop that late and all went well :)”

“Great price, excellent product and super customer service. Great communication direct from order. Received a call to advise delivery day and a call from the driver before he arrived. Driver was very polite and helpful putting the wood exactly where I asked. Lovely Oak timbers, perfect for the use required. I will be ordering again soon.”

“Apart from the fact that there wasn't much communication with reference to the delivery, we received a phone call to say delivery was going to be next day then an hour later it turned up at 7pm, a day early, the driver was very pleasant & the quality of timber is good”

“I have purchased a lot of wood off of yourselves for many years now but the split of the logs seems much smaller with some almost becoming kindling and the overall volume of the full crate seems greatly reduced”

“The delivery turned up without notice while my wife was home on her own. The driver struggled for half an hour to get the pallet off the lorry which was blocking our cul de sac. When he finally got it off he left it in the road as he couldn't move it to the footpath”

“I ordered 9 oak sleepers (200mm x 100mm x 2400mm)... They were delivered on time (within the short lead time quoted), all sleepers were of an outstanding quality and the price was competitive. “Like a lot of the suppliers in this sector, whilst their products in the form of pellets might be ok, their supply chain management is abysmal. When I write a note As part of the order that I need 24 hours notice of the planned delivery day, I had hoped this was noted and baked into their routines. Not a chance. One hour before the delivery was to be made I get a call from the driver saying he’s on the way. Stating that this was out of their control and down to the delivery company tells me all I need to know, that you could do better, but are unlikely to. Last order you’re getting from me then.”
