“Bought our second caravan from Swindon caravans in March 2018 and would never buy from them again, after sales is appauling they don't want to know you once you have handed over the cash. We have our caravan stored 55miles away from them and in order to get a problem resolved you have to tow it to them, they are not willing to get a sub contractor to have a look and reimburse us if we pay. The subcontractor. We spent £20,000 on a caravan and since buying we have had trouble with our toilet, heating, water system and battery. Very disappointed and an appauling service. Do not go near them.”

Thank you for your feedback Mrs Bamsey. Your review was disappointing to read particularly as we believed we had resolved all of the issues on your last visit. The used caravan was supplied with a 12 month warranty, the benefit of which is that you are able to manage this yourself or find someone local who deals with the warranty company. Unfortunately we do not have mobile engineers and any work that needs to be done has to come back to our workshop. “purchased New caravan only to find that PDI not done correctly. Solar panels issues door lock faulty ATC not fitted. This is my 4th Caravan purchased from this company and it makes you Question about customer services. Not happy with the Service given to me.”

“My parents wanted to buy us a caravan and they took us to Swindon caravan shop. We didn't want my parents to spent too much on a caravan especially it was going to be our first caravan to try so they bought a decent 4 berth caravan from your shop. we were very excited as a family. we booked a caravan holiday, joined the caravan club, bought an awning then about a week later we had a phone call from your team member saying that the caravan we purchased is not useable, its in very bad condition and the member said to us he can not sell this caravan to us. we were devastated. we knew there wasn't a caravan with the same price in your caravan place. we really didn't want to my parents to spent more than they already spent. We came to the caravan place to sort the problem out but we have been offered a refund or spend much more for a caravan. we were disappointed that the caravan had never been checked before you put it on sale? My parents ended up spending much more than their original budget and we didn't feel that we have been offered a good deal on the second caravan.”

Hi, Thank you for your comments. Whilst we appreciate the frustration surrounding the original caravan that your parents wanted to buy, surely it was the right thing to do! As a company we will not sell and despatch a caravan if it does not meet the standards that we set and are required from an established dealership. Each caravan undergoes a damp test and visual inspection when we take ownership however this doesn't always highlight more serious issues with the construction of the caravan. These issues are picked up by the engineers when they PDI the caravan and in your case this is what happened. Your comments are slightly confusing and do seem a little at odds to the view of your parents when considering the email we received from them after the purchase of the caravan: "We would like to thank and praise Paul Hopkins for helping us to resolve a problem we experienced when buying a used caravan from you recently. We appreciated the issues were outside of your control, however, Paul dealt with our concerns in a helpful and professional way. He is a credit to your company. Please can you pass on our thanks to Paul's manager" Paul found another caravan to suit their needs and discounted the caravan to a level which we felt reasonable considering the issues that had been experienced. It is our view that we provided great customer service and acted in the morally correct manner throughout.

“friendly staff-great range of new and used caravans.when we picked up our new caravan it was all setup with temp gas,water and electricity to show us how everything worked-never had that before,made the handover very enjoyable”

“very helpful, knowledgeable staff in Oxford where we purchased our first caravan this august. Although we had picked out the caravan we wanted to view there were many more options available, a great choice. All the little 'snags' were sorted (it had one owner previously) and it looked immaculate when we picked it up. Everything, from paperwork to the extras were all ready and waiting for us and we were given a very thorough walk through of how all features worked. We would definitely recommend.”

“Many many thanks to Lewis and the team for the excellent service you gave us when purchasing our very first caravan. From the day we viewed to the day we collected, Oxford caravan centre made everything so easy and stress free. If i had to sum up Oxford caravan centre in one word it would be 'EXCELLENT'. “It would be easy to give a 5 star review, however, despite having had the caravan delivered from the Reading branch, upon delivery we found that the caravan roof lights x3 were absolutely FULL of tree or bush debris resulting in ourselves having to strip down each roof light down and remove the debris to enable us to clean them. I realise that the roof is not visible from the ground, but would have thought that the caravan roof would have been cleaned at Reading prior to delivery to Swindon, or upon receipt inspection at Swindon the debris would have been found and removed. We have bought 5 or 6 caravans from Swindon caravans, this is the first time have felt the need to comment. Using the caravan now, and absolutely delighted with it. Sure it was just a 'one off' great service otherwise.”

“We Recently brought a bailey unicorn Cartengna from reading Caravans. From the moment we arrived on a Saturday afternoon to collecting on Friday the sales team were extremely professional throughout and made the whole experience extremely enjoyable. We had a couple of little niggles with the van after our first rally but these were sorted without hesitation and can't thank Dave the workshop manager enough.”

“The Swindon Team The rapid help we needed when our new twin axle 2018 Lunar Caravan taking down to south Devon and our Clubman Caravan collecting was it a problem and made to happen very quickly.Not only did they have the exact Caravan in Swindon but Lee arranged for the driver towing our new Caravan to be down there for 10-30am, and he even helped us make the transition easier with the set up help of the Lunar. They could not have been more helpful”
