“Definition of printed symbols not very clear”

Sorry, we don't write the manuals. We just print what is written by the manufacturer. If you are very unhappy please return it for a 100% refund.

“The print was too small for ageing eyes and initially the blurred icons were a handicap until I could interpret the blur I was looking at. When you bought the manual to make life easier it wasn't a massive step forwards but once into it the content has been a great help.”

“When printed it's a pity the pages weren't enlarged so they could be read more easily, and just bind them with a ring binder, as the soft covered manual needs one hand to hold the required page open which restricts the use of the phone to follow the instructions. I wish I had paid the extra for the ring bound manual.”

“Reproduction in colour, if this formed part of the original manual, would obviously improve the look of the product and make it look less like a cheap. Actually your product is not that cheap !”

We can't do anything about the content of the manual I'm afraid. This is written by the manufacturer. We will re-send the manual printed twice the size to help with the issue of the text being too small for you in some places.

“I bought the Nokia Lumina Windows Phone 8.1 via www.ijtdirect.co.uk as a replacement for a Samsung. The instruction booklet (A5 size) means I have to use a magnifying glass to read the manual! - (the over 70's still buy new smartphones, you know.). 'All Settings' is not on my desktop on start-up screen, so where do I find it when trying to set up for the first time? User Guide Update 2 manual says 'switching on for the first time your phone guides you set up your network connections'. Not on my phone, it doesn't - I have an established Microsoft Account (via laptop) using Outlook email. Page 10 Manual reads: 'Switch your phone on and follow the instructions shown on your phone'. Even with a Microsoft Account I couldn't get started. Please make it clearer how to get started, even if you need to use cartoons!”

As far as the font size is concerned we will re-send the manual printed twice the size at no charge. We can't do anything about the content of the manual itself I'm afraid

“This was not the fault of the manual. I am an 81 yr. old female who received a Samsung Galaxy J3 Achieve smartphone for Christmas. Unfortunately I thought I was ordering the correct manual from your company. Therefore it is not the fault of your company or the manual. Geraldine Bauer”

“Not for the beginner,who has no knowledge of the iPhone. Particular when trying to load up a second hand phone., I found it totally useless. For someone like me, consider "How to do everything" series. I have awarded "Acceptable", which in the right hands ought perhaps to be "Very Good" If any one wants a free copy, then do advertise in the Hexham, Northumberland, , area, you can have my copy for free. Colin”

“Not fully worked through it as yet.Seems acceptable as a starter but icons could be explained and there seems to be many functions on the phone which have not been included.”

“Disappointed actually. I ordered it because I am an 85 years old lady and my eyesight cannot read such small print. I expected it to be written in larger print. think you should offer to print these out in larger size for the older generation. As it is the print is far too small. surely this is something to be considered by your company.”

Sorry you were not happy with the size. We will re-send, at no charge of course, printed twice the size. Most customers prefer the size we sent originally as it is easier to carry around. I'm sure the manual printed twice the size will be much better for you.
