“Stainless steel components should be packaged better. Brackets started their journey in bubble wrap bags which weren’t sealed so they, along with end caps and screws all rattling around together in an oversized packaging box. This caused bruising to edges of end caps which I have refinished on a lathe. Oak hand rail well packaged and a very nice quality which I have sandpapered to a fantastic finish prior to varnishing. Made tool to enable me to mark the ends dead centre for end cap fixing screws. Overall, with extra imput from myself, looks really nice fitted.”

“We ordered 2 handrails, but we had 2 plastic ends missing which are located under the metal end stops. When I phoned they were kindly sending the extras ASAP.Also there were no instructions & the screws seemed too long for attaching the brackets to the handrails.”

“the pole is slightly bent , the end caps didnt fit properly they were rounder than the pole which feels like it has a seam down the length of it . but it looks ok”

“Ordering service and confirmation fine. Quality of oak handrail as expected - no problems. Communication was sufficient however dispatch was within the 5-10 days timescale on day 7 but beware this doesn’t include weekends. (This is shown on website but we hadn’t noticed it) Delivery was on day 9. Orders on 10th arrived 23rd Wish we’d noticed working days guidance!”

“First of all the handrail arrived without the brackets, I then had to go back to UPS to check if they had a second parcel and they told me to contact you. and your lady in the sales office responded quickly and sent the brackets by express post .Job now done and looking good”

“The oak poles look nice but the metal ends came with no fitting instructions and no pilot holes. We found it impossible to screw then on evenly ad the pokes are not perfectly round so ended up glueing which will probably fall off if weight is out on them. It would have been so much better if they had been fitted during manufacture.”

“The description said in finished wood, which I thought would have been varnished, but no varnish on them, and they weren't perfectly smooth, needed some sanding down. I received 93 screws of two types (I only needed 24), I also received 30 plugs, only needing 12. There was no instructions enclosed and nothing telling me what size drills to use. It was oak, which is very hard and I thought they could have pilot drilled for the end caps. They look OK after sanding and varnishing. Their delivery service is free, but poor. You can track it, but all it says is 'by end of day', so I waited in all day and it was delivered at ten past three in the afternoon.”

“Took 12 working days to reach me. I emailed after 10 days and did not receive a personal reply, just an email from the delivery people saying it had been dispatched. There were no instructions and despite a good standard of DIY skills and tools, it isn't as simple a job and could easily have gone wrong. The product is worth the money but service could do with improving.”

“The product looks great after assembly, varnishing, fitting etc (wooden stair handrail) but the assembly and fitting was quite challenging. I have had a great and speedy response from company however with helpful advice and they are reviewing their instructions to help customers who need it”

“Made it easier for me to climb stairs also the rails need to be rebated to receive the dome ends jointer tubes they would be easier to centralise. Regards John dunstan”

“Quality of the Oak handrail is not fantastic, some flat areas and sharp edges where it’s been milled, will need a bit of sand paper! One of the items, a curved fitting was missing from my order.”

“every thing was ok .until I unwrapped the handrails, they weren't up to standard ,meaning the y could have been straighter. its probably the green oak not being properly seasoned. for me ,having been in the timber trade for a very long time ,I think was a poor deal. thankyou.”

“Nice stainless steel fittings, alll fixing supplied, the 3 metre oak rail looked good until on closer inspection one end had 12 woodworm holes plus what looked like a small circular saw cut. To send back would have been a lot of work so I bought some Brummer Stopping on Amazon in medium oak, rubbed down and applied 3 coats of danish oil. Looks really good. Would have given it 5 stars otherwise.”

“A client does need good diy skills to get this handrail together. the advert ought to say that you cannot just screw it to the wall!”
