“The oak handrail is lovely . I ordered 3.2 with end caps I expected the end caps to be included in the length I ordered and to be fitted so I would receive a rail a total length of 3.2 there was no measurement of the end caps being additional or their size. This was not the case as the rail alone was 3.2 . Also one of the brackets has a black tarnished mark.Overall slightly disappointed.”

“Product really good no issues at all. Communication poor for delivery, finally had a response and arranged an adjusted delivery date, then came a day late! Sent a follow up on arranged date which hasn’t been responded too. Shame as the quality of the product is great.”

“Easy ordering, delivered on time, well packed and good quality fittings. One of the two oak rails was significantly warped, which was disappointing given the quality of the remainder of the materials. This made making matching mitred rails on each side of a staircase very difficult indeed. (The rails were never stored upright or leaning whilst in my possession). A simple diagram with measurements or a template showing the offsets between the bottom of the desired rail position and the holes in the wall mounting brackets would have simplified things considerably and made installation a great deal quicker and easier.”

“Very nice handrail and hardware. Delivery issues due to their courier closing down but they kept me upto date with emails which was good. Only problem was having to drill our own holes for the ends which I expected to have been pre-drilled. It was quite hard for us to get these perfectly centered to fit the pretty antique brass ends. But other than than very nice product and good communication from the company. Thank you!”

Hi Farheen, Thank you so much for your review. Tuffnells going into administration has been the biggest challenge that we have faced so thank you for staying patient with us. The end caps are designed so the handrail can be cut down which alot of our customers like to do. “All materials are of excellent quality and delivery and packaging was good. The only criticism I have is the lack of guidance for installation. It would be useful to have had a stick on straight line on the rail so attaching the brackets would be easier.”

“Not fitted yet but product looks very good, very quick delivery and exceedingly well protected. Photos to follow. However, small dome headed screws supplied to fix brackets to rail instead of the correct larger diameter countersunk screws.”

“Beautiful products - really pleased with our new handrail. There were delivery delays however the team communicated well during this and was also quick to respond with updates. So whilst delays are frustrating, I couldn't fault the team at SimpleHandrails.”
