“Nice looking and seems well made. No predrilled holes made fitting end caps accurately impossible and fixing three fitting in a row very hard.”

“The handrail was exactly right for the job it had to do. It has now been installed on a set of stairs, it looks good, it is strong, and people are appreciating using it. However, we had significant problems with delayed delivery. UPS failed to deliver on the promised date. They first attempted delivery three days later than promised, when no one was available to take delivery. It took more failed attempts and many phone calls to achieve successful delivery, and prevent the product being returned to sender. I strongly suggest that SimpleHandrails switch to a more reliable courier company, such as DPD, who give you a timed delivery slot, and stick to it. They also give you the option to change the delivery date, which UPS don't!”

“parts were missing when delivered, requested parts which were delivered quite quickly but again incomplete. I purchased part local which was screw to fix bracket parts together. I do not need you to cover cost of the screw but can only give you average rating because mistakes can happen but after it was not corrected the second time that let you down. I am satisfied with the product and I think this kind of thing would not happen again as more care would be taken over the packing. Thank you for the feedback it shows you were concerned over the errors made.”

“Handrail niceI I'm sorry to hear about your personal issues the only reason I said average was because we paid 25 pounds extra for delivery within 48 hours however we didn't get our handrail for four days but we are pleased with the handrail itself”

“There was an issue with the length of time of delivery and some quality issues. These were sorted out very quickly and I am happy with the outcome.”

“The quality of the hand rail fittings is excellent as described. I had to chase the order twice no communication but it did arrive after two and half weeks as promised. The oak handrail is supplied to add your own finish. I would use them again if it wasn't urgent.”

“Had to wait over a week for the handrail then when it arrived it contained the wrong end pieces. I contacted supplier who did send me the correct ones but having to wait again meant I couldn't get the handrail up as soon as I would have liked. However, the handrail itself is a beautiful piece of oak and I am very pleased with it.”

“Regrettably I had not taken into account the actual weght of the rails against the fact that I am fitting to a cavity board wall .what do I use to secure it to the wall? I have more or less given up on using your rail and am looking for an alternative . What now do I do with your handrail , exellent though it may be I cannot use it. Regards Ron Shepherd PS my wife is now over 80 and had a fall on the stair and now requires extra support on the stair .I am 84. If you have some MAGIC to fix it I would be most gratefull to hear from you.”

Hi Ron. I will gladly send you some heavy duty plugs which are suited to a cavity wall. Failing that they are standard sizes so we will also offer a refund if these plugs dont work. Leave it with me and ill get them in the post. Dan

“Good generally but detail poor. Two M4 screws missing and one M4 hole had screw jammed. I'll have to re-tap that.”

Hi There. This obviously shouldn't of happened our end and is unacceptable. If we new this was the case we would of gladly rectified. Please if you need rail exchanged or further screws sent out then please drop me an email. sales@simplehandrails.co.uk

“The rail took two weeks to arrive, but was a good, solid rail which looks good. The wood screws provided didn't fit the holes in the brackets.”
