The shiping company I used to collect a car for me were superb, but unfortunately I paid via Paypal to accept the quote and it taken my money twice and still did not accept the quote until I paid via debit card! So I lost out 2 x £14 due to a system error of Shiply and still not had a refund via Shiply or Paypal after filing a claim :(

I had JA Couriers move a 3 seat sofabed from Farnham to Dumfries in Scotland. The sofabed arrived and all is fine. My BIG problem with this is that they do not communicate at all?! I emailed to ask what time they might arrive to collect and they did not answer or I received a very defensive email asking not to email?! Surely, one of the most basic parts of this service is to communicate with customers to help with the arrangement? They did not let me know if it was morning or afternoon collection and just arrived on the day. I then asked if they could at the very least call ahead to the destination to let them know the arrival time? They didn't bother and arrived in the evening at 7.30pm at night with no call to let anyone know it was arriving late. It takes seconds to make calls and I found this a very frustrating part of this experience. i doubt I would use this company again.

Poor policy on deposits, this has made the brand feel untrustworthy. Would use the courier who delivered the goods again - would go direct to them. Needs more fairness and transparency.

1. i needed to confirm to my customer the time and date of delivery before the customer would order the goods. 2. I could not get this information from Shiply unless I accepted the quote qithout knowing details of collection. 3. I tried to send details of name addesses and contact numbers to Shiply to get a definite quotation. 4. I was told that I had breached Shiply rules and regulations and made to feel less than honest. 5. I was told that I had breached the rules and regulations more than once and further communications would be monitored which would take hours. 6. I was made feel that I was suspect. 7. I am a simple honest ebayer seller with 100% feedback. I will not be using your system again.

After being totally messed around by the courier (3 missed appointments), I cancelled the order. It has taken weeks to get my money back from him but very disappointed that Shiply would not assist or even just contact him. They said they are a "neutral venue" - whatever that is - and do not get involved. But it was through them that I selected him! Very poor.

I had two different carriers agree to deliver my chair. The first was a one man band who apparently became ill and couldn't pick up . The second picked up , gave me a time slot of 2-5 and after taking time off work sent me a text at 2.45 .sayiing they had forgotten to load it. In both cases communcation was appalling. On the plus side they were cheaper .

Positive in that the item was delivered but it took two weeks with no explanation or communication? But a very nice chap all the same - I had to keep checking and emailing ?

Individual couriers are good but Shipley as a whole not at all customer focused. Would prefer not to use them again

Have been told that Shiply keep the deposits as payment rather than passing them onto the courier. A fairer and more transparent scheme around the deposits should be enforced.

the reason I gave poor, was courier was given the wrong address. which meant the courier gave me the wrong amount to charge. I had to pay more.it was pick up from newton aycliffe dl5 7ly to Gateshead ne95se. AND NOT NEWTON AYCLIFFE and,,SOME OBSCURE POST CODE. which I did not give. thanks jim davis.

The website is ok but I had a problem with the payment (it went through) which communication problems with with the courier.

An error in the on-line quotation where previous information about the method of transportation had not been deleted causing confusion and delay that was sorted by the transport company. The question about whether the car is a 'runner' requires more detail. My car was a 'runner' (that is able to be driven on and off a trailer/transporter) but not in a suitable condition to drive hundreds of miles (hence WHY I was looking for transport quotes!)

It seems like a good idea for a company but beware, there is no way to speak to someone in person and their website can be a total nightmare. I kept getting booted off of my login- which was definitely correct for no reason. All of a sudden 'My Shipley" would say I had no active quotes when I did. Then when I tried to accept the quote, there was no prompt. They were supposed to refund me a full £16 but didn't. Seriously, trying to arrange a courier with this site was a total nightmare.

I've not found it easy to navigate. Why can't you go to feedback from the accepted quotes? I had to log out and log back in to get to My Account and then get into feedback. Website only just fit for purpose.

Shiply's booking fees are really expensive. Better to book direct with the service provider if possible.

Despite great feedback and being a super nice guy my first courier was useless, van broke down, phone stopped working complete nightmare. Paid my deposit which was totally lost in some big black hole. I couldn't bring myself to leave him negative feedback because I didn't want to do the poor man down, but I would only use him again if he moved in next door and I lent him my wife phone. Second courier Andrewvan was the polar opposite 100% reliable, super efficient and his van and phone worked perfectly I would highly recommend him, great job. Shipley there's seems no way of getting the deposit back if one of you dark knights f@ck up, I paid 2 deposits for one job....you asked !!

Communication from the service provider was very poor, waiting for 5 days after deposit paid for a date confirmation of when collection would be made.

Had to cancel my delivery after repeated delays. Shiply not at all helpful and I have no news on my deposit which they still hold.
