“good all round service and flexible with the fitting dates as we had to change them a few times due to work commitments. however the doors are not hanging correctly and are waiting for a fitter to come out to fix. i found the customer service to be polite and helpful.”

“The salesman was very polite and in my opinion professional. It is a shame that they are required to start their negotiations and such a high level. As I am in the building industry, I knew what I wanted and what I felt to be the correct value, so I negotiated until I was at the level I deemed acceptable. The process was good, apart from the surveyor saying that they couldn't scribe to a brick wall, the delivery chaps were polite and friendly, as was the fitter. I was pleased with the input from the fitter who knew his job. Overall happy with the experience.”

“Excellent service from initial visit to showroom, in-home quote, placing order and delivery/fitting. A couple of (very) minor niggles that have prevented me rating as 'Very Good' - one being that we were told Sharps would contact us to remove the rubbish: they didn't. Overall, delighted with product and would definitely use again & recommend”

“Fitter was excellent. Sharps' products are good, however there are a couple of main drawbacks. 1) Expensive 2) Innovative yet relatively simple ideas for creating more space / utilising more space in the wardrobes was not particularly conveyed to us at the design faze e.g. A tie rack would have been so simple to have installed and would have been a useful feature etc.”

“We have just had wardrobes fitted into both our bedrooms and I really cannot relate to all the bad reviews! We moved into this property on July 24th and arranged for the designer to come on the 27th. He spent over 3 hours designing our bedrooms to suit. The surveyor came out 2 weeks later and the delivery was planned on that day for August 24th. Work started the following day and was completed by 6pm on the 26th to our satisfaction. I think a lot of people don't read the given information. It clearly states that old wardrobes should be removed and any decorating of the walls undertaken prior to fitting. Apart from a couple of spare shelves and a few bits of panelling all the rubbish was taken the day the fitter completed. Maybe we were at an advantage as we have used the company before and I do think the product is probably not as good quality as it was then, but I would certainly recommend them. In fact the designer is back next week as I forgot drawer units for the guest room!”

“We needed to update our spare bedroom and wanted a simple fitted wardrobe with sliding doors. Initially I had planned to do the work myself but Sharps had a sale and we asked for a salesman to call to see what they could offer. Essentially he asked "how much are you prepared to spend" so I gave him a figure and he came up with an acceptable design. Some time later the surveyor came to detail the design with full dimensions and then the parts were delivered by a couple of very careful delivery chaps. In the meantime I had removed the existing built-in and other furniture to leave a bare bedroom and had decorated the wall and ceiling that would become the back and roof of the wardrobe. Not long afterwards the young contract fitter came to build the wardrobes. He was friendly and talkative and did an excellent job of building the bespoke wardrobes, a far better job than I would have done and in a fraction (2 days) of the time I would have taken. The overall result is excellent with the only disappointment being that the access to the top storage shelves is slightly smaller than we had expected. All in all it had been a fairly painless experience and the end result very acceptable. All the Sharps and related personnel were great. The expenditure was more than I would have spent for a DIY job but I was saved so much effort and frustration it was well worth it.”

“Showroom staff very efficient and friendly, booking for home visit made but had to be changed a short notice due to illness which wasn't an issue. Salesman visited as re-planned, followed by a surveyor to take final measurements and fitting booked. Fitter arrived as planned, my only comment was how long it took to fit. Total of three days to fit two wardrobes and a chest of drawers which I thought was a long time, my son recently had a full bedroom fitted by Hammonds who took just one day to complete. This meant I couldn't go out for thee days as I live on my own. A little inconvenient but when complete it was to a high standard. Overall very pleased with Sharps.”

“I needed storage quickly but didn't want wardrobes that would date or fall apart. We were guided through the process at each stage by the Sharps employees so we made the right decision on an expensive commitment. The result looks contemporary yet classic and I was able to choose all the detail I wanted to keep my fitted wardrobes within my personal style. My only criticism would be that the staff in the showroom are unable to help with any information prior to meeting with Sharps designer. As I am quite a risk adverse purchaser, this nearly put me off as I wanted to have a better idea of prices before I committed to having someone come to my home.”

“Service was good, very helpful from start to finish. Geoff our fitter was excellent and we have been left with exactly what we asked for. Our only disappointment was that we weren't advised until the fitting stage that all waste was to be taken away by us on completion. Given the amount of money we spent, I think this is very poor. We have in the past used another bedroom company who left our 2 bedrooms ready to hang the clothes in and dealt with getting rid of all the waste. Although slightly more expensive it makes all the difference to the overall experience.”

“We were pleased with the service and product from Sharps. Everything arrived on time and the fitter did a good job and left everything clean. My only complaint is that the excess material (of which there was a lot) was left outside and not taken away, so I had to clear it myself. One door needed adjusting after a few weeks and although it was a little fiddly I managed to do it and it has stayed OK ever since.”

“We first had our daughter's bedroom cupboard made. It was build into an existing alcove space, which originally had sliding door. We had asked for quotes from carpenters for replacement doors, but was never quoted anything satisfactory. Sharps were excellent, particularly their rep Susan who came and measured up and provided the quote. Apart from having to clear the bedroom completely the work was done quickly and to a high standard. We were delighted with the results. Following the work we decided to have our son's bedroom cupboard done as well. Again the work was good and we are happy with the results. There was an issue that we had a delivery of parts in the wrong colour and the 'special order' for white interior took another week to be made, but Susan sorted it all out for us well. Also at the end of the build we had to pester sharps to take away the wood that had been delivered in the wrong colour - too much for us to dispose of conveniently. Otherwise the fitter was good and we are delighted with the results. Would definitely get Sharps in again if we decide to have our main bedroom cupboard done. Ellie Chorley and Jim Spinner”

“I had a study fitted.The designer took on board all that I said I needed in the room, which did not leave him much space to work with however after compromises on both sides we ended up with a workable design. The fitter came on the day arranged and worked really hard and tidied up as he went along. I agree with another reviewer that there did seem to be a lot of waste at the end. People who have visited have commented favourably on the study/music room and asked who did it. My only niggle is that my files do not fit comfortably in the top filing drawer but this could be resolved if I were to replace my file folders! I am surprised at some of the negative reviews, perhaps it is a regional issue. I am happy with my study and would recommend this company.”

“overall our experience was pretty good, the designer turned up on time and went through all our options. The fitter did a good job but there was loads of wood left over (very wasteful). We had a problem with one of the sliding doors after a couple of months but that was sorted promptly. The cost was definitely on the high side but we are pleased with the results.”
