We had some wall to wall wardrobes fitted with a low drawer unit with a wooden top. We also had 2 large bedside tables with 3 drawers in each. Overall the quality of the furniture is good, the fitter was excellent; clearly a very skilled cabinet maker. Anything other than however leaves a lot to be desired. The salesman who drew the plans was with us for nearly 3 hours and told us that once everything was installed, we would get a call AND a visit from an aftersale service person to check that all was in good working order. I was very impressed with this promise. But sadly this is all it was! I called the head office who told me that they don't send anyone after installation. If we had a problem however, they would rectify it. We were also told by the salesman that the whole thing would take 3 days (4 maximum). As it turns out, the fitter was here for nearly 10! The pieces for the side of the wardrobe didn't go upstairs (on the 3rd floor) so had to be sent back for smaller pieces, thereby delaying by another day. I suppose there was a lot of sawdust in the carpet but it's to be expected. The fitter was very good. On the plus side (and again due to a cockup!) we gained an extra jewelry insert in a drawer and wider bedside tables due to wrong measurements. I would recommend Sharpes for quality. Expensive but you get what you pay for.

The 2 measuring and design home visits were excellent. The delivery was on time and carried out efficiently. However the work and mess made during installation could be improved, although the final finished product is of a high standard.

Overall I am very pleased with the Sharps service, the designer, surveyor and in particular the fitter were excellent. I would have liked to have been informed of small optional extras such as internal mirrors though.

Quality excellent, although do think Sharps are very expensive. Only real issue was the state of the room left in dust - all over window ledge, floor and bed.

The product was superb, the build quality was the best I have seen. The whole thing was good, came on time with full information, the fitter was local and did a very good job. If you want a fitted wardrobe I don't think you can buy better, and I have looked. As to price I thought it was quite expensive but as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. Neil Sharpe

Very pleased with design and fitting. Only negative was with accounts. Paying before delivery, they used a figure in excess of the amount due. This mistake was then compounded when they tried to withdraw the correct payment before the first payment was credited to my account. As this happened on Christmas Eve and the accounts' department was closed until January 4th, I had no choice but draw money from another account. As the sum involved was thousands of pounds, this caused a lot of worry and inconvenience. When I finally spoke to the company in the new year an apology was promised but never materialized. We are very pleased with our room. Looking at a previous review it would appear that a lot is left up to the fitter, and ours, who was experienced in joinery and cabinet making, did an excellent job; everything neat and well finished. It was carefully fitted into the countours of our skirting and coving and there are absolutely no dubious bits. Our bedroom is now neat and tidy and we have all the storage space we need unlike our previous layout with conventional wardrobe and chests of drawers. The shiny white doors are lovely, complemented by the walnut finish on the sides and tops. Two points prevent a 5 star review: we did not know the precise dimensions until the job was completed. The contract plan was "not to scale" and no clear dimensions were given. It would have been useful to allow us to decorate more acurately the room before fitting. The top surfaces of the cabinets and drawer units are in the same paper thin wood effect material as all the chipboard components. We think that they would be very vunerable to wear and have had toughened glass tops made to protect them. We had expected a tough laminate finish on these surfaces.

Very professional leading up to the instalment and fast but the after-sales team were a bit slack as I wanted to change the doors and about 4 different people took my call and passed it on but never actually got back to to this day. Happy with the job and the price though.

The designer came up with some good ideas which we had not thought about and was very helpful. During installation one drawer front was found to be the wrong size. A replacement, delivered by a logistics company, was found to be damaged on receipt. A further replacement was delivered by a Sharps van and was very well packaged. My husband and I are pleased with the finished units. Mrs Susan Maddick

Following my initial contact, the designer visited to draw up my requirements. He made me aware of the minimum charge (which should have been pointed out in my initial phone call). The designer helpfully added a further item to bring the work over the £1500 minimum. I had asked for a delay before installation and then expected Sharps to contact me, however it turned out they were waiting for me to call! Following these minor hiccoughs, work eventually took place and was very satisfactory.

Overall pleased with the outcome. Sales Chap was very good and extremely helpful full marks to him. Fitter did a good job I did have to challenge him to improve the outcome of the work and there was some minor damage to new paintwork on walls and ceiling. He had a new empty room to work in. The rubbish removal was our main issue. A friend near by had Sharps fit her bedroom and the rubbish was left outside for over a week it was about to rain heavily and I took it to the tip for her and there was a very large amount of stuff to move which was all mixed up cardboard metal wood plastics in the same bag. The recycling centre made me separate it all at the tip. When it came to ours the fitter did not know when ours would be collected but did admit there was an issue with this. I asked him to bag all materials in separate bags and again I took it to the tip rather than leave it out in heavy rain. The fitter was very tidy very polite and we are happy with the result. A shame that you still can not get our name spelt correctly or the address. You have been informed of this error now 3 times. Mark Wearing Ascerton Close Sidmouth EX10 9BS

Positive's - Designer came at agreed time and put forward design based on our requirements, great. Was advised how much space was required for install and the time required plus walls/ ceiling to be in finished state. Fitter came at agreed time and completed in agreed time. Negative - The wardrobes have doors floor to ceiling and were very heavy with a fitter on his own, do not know how he hung them! But the damage to the walls and ceiling meant the room had to be repainted. Stuart Beney

Home office Jan 2016. Let's get the good bits out the way. Fitter was top notch, designer and surveyor great. Actually result was just what we thought it would be. Now the moans and groans. Continuous desk top with Corner unit, grain all in one direction including the curve, then the last unit put in on end with the grain at 90 degrees to the rest, looks awful. Draws have soft close, great, but all the cupboard doors close very fast, bang on impact with carcass, no soft close and not even a 10 a penny rubber stop. Some of the items were cut to wrong size, hey it happens, new lot arrived, but I know sharps don't take their garbage away (at the price they charge this is a bit amateurish) but can't see why I should have to get rid of the extra! Lastly they are not bespoke, they probably used to be in the age long gone, but draw units are flat pack and the the build fitted to space with the use of fill outs. But hey ho it looks ok , nearly.

We looked at 5 wardrobe installation companies (including sharps) before we finally decided to have them. The design person came and measured up and was followed by the surveyor, both of whom were very helpful but I could not agree with their layouts so the designer came back again with a different surveyor. We then agreed on what was proposed. We proceeded with the order, and was told that it would take approx. 2-3 days to install. We were given a delivery and installation date and they stuck to it, the only problem was it took nearly 5 days to install. The other thing I was concerned about was there was no fixing details to secure the over the bed cupboards to the ceiling. The joiner used a lot of plasterboard fixings to secure these so I decided my self to go into the loft space and fit a timber batten for an additional fixing position and the joiner obliged by screwing into this. It has not yet been 12 months since the installation was completed and at this time a small crack between the timber and the ceiling has appeared and one of the doors does not close properly.I think after 1 year has passed I will do a snag list and be contacting sharps to take up these problems with them. I did have to dispose of the excess waste but was warned about this and it was not excessive . Mr S Stoke.

We are, overall, very pleased with the fitting of our bedroom furniture by Sharps, which was part wardrobes, part office storage space as the fitting was in our spare bedroom. The surveyor turned up on time, took note of what we wanted and made some suggestions to improve on our design. The installer also turned up on time and worked very hard on the first day; we virtually had to throw him out as he hadn't finished and it was past 7pm! But he came back the day early to get the work done. Sharps did not really estimate the time it would take for one man to fit our wardrobe, etc. Everything was cleared up, although we had to dispose of the excess larger items of wood. I have only one issue, in that one of the drawers is not very 'soft close', but I can live with that. All in all, reasonably pleased with the result.

Designer, surveyor and fitter all seemed ok but when fitted it turned out that the critical space we'd asked for wasn't as large as they'd quoted. The fitter was great and we got what we needed with his help. Subsequently the sealant has started to lift but they have arranged for this to be fixed in a couple of weeks. Overall score of good but be careful!
