We got just what we wanted and asked for. Three sets of wardrobes and one office all well finished off. The designer had some good ideas some of which we implemented. Had it all now for 3 months and still happy.

The whole experience of having the bedroom fitted was good, after living out of wardrobe boxes for 6 weeks after moving into a new house. We had a slight hiccough when the fitter came to one set of drawers as the unit was too long, but the fitter ordered a shorter one for us, which took a few days to arrive. So that added a few extra days to the the overall time the job took to finish. Once it was completed we were very happy with it. I would recommend Sharps to anyone who wanted to buy a quality fitted bedroom. Mr John Glenn

The fitter was excellent and very professional. The salesman that came round to design the wardrobes etc was not very forthcoming, we had to press to get any more information than the basics and there are a few design faults that if he had been a bit more proactive could have been ironed out. Overall the service was good.

The Salesman Surveyor and Fitter all were on time and professional which is hard to find these days. Sharps customer service was helpful each time I phoned with a query about the Installation. Overall very impressed with Sharps and especially their employees and although a bit pricey I am very pleased with my new Wardobe I think the secret is to keep the design simple and I didn't remove the carpet. A Very Happy Customer.

Overall we are very pleased with the service we recieved from the designer to the installer. We had looked at other options but couldn't find what we wanted but then we had sharps and they couldn't do exactly what we wanted but came up with alernatives which we are pleased with. Only downside was we were told it would be done in two days but should of been three in reality, but we had a fab installer that worked late into the night on both nights just to get it done so we didn't have to take more time off work.

Apologies if this is a bit long-winded but I feel the need to let people know about our experience with Sharps, as we thought we were paying extra for a higher level of service and workmanship. We were wrong. Hopefully, it’ll be worth the read to the end for someone. We had a small storage room fitted out as a walk-in wardrobe. It cost £2700, which was apparently half-price due to the current sale. Sharps rep who did the quote for us told us that there would be a more detailed, laser survey so that the pieces cut be prepared off-site. This survey was done, but what turned up was certainly not pre-cut to suit the room. Everything was fine with the delivery of the materials, but there was far too much, and it was all in standard, off-the-shelf pieces. So what was the point of the laser survey? Installation – this went OK, although upon inspection, it seems that the high level of professional craftsmanship advertised wasn't there. I had to contact Sharps a day or so later to point out that there were half a dozen or so areas where the installation wasn't exactly done properly – there are exposed sharp corners, shelves that aren’t parallel, gaps between elements etc. Also, we were told to remove the carpet in the room prior to installation as fitting directly onto floorboards would ensure that an exact fit would be obtained at the ceiling line, something which couldn’t be guaranteed if the carpet was left as it would compress, creating a gap at the top. So I removed the carpet. And the first thing I spotted after the installation was – gaps at the top! And I had to re-fit the carpet myself after that. Most of these are small and at a push, ignorable, but it is very annoying to have paid so much money for the high-quality workmanship previously associated with Sharps, to then get a much more bog-standard level of service. Essentially, it was slightly, although not much, better than a job I could have done myself, given the tools. Edging – our wardrobe is in one of those areas where the roof slopes down, meaning that there were several angled cuts to be done. Wherever this was the case, the veneer on the material was chipped off on the outside, visible edge. It’s only a couple of mm or so, but it’s visible at nearly every edge. Material – the wardrobe is made from fairly cheap standard veneered chipboard. Don’t go expecting high-quality wood for your wardrobe – you won’t get it. This use of low-standard material is to blame for the edging problems mentioned above. Drawers – the rep asked us if we wanted drawers instead of a couple of shelves. We said yes, even though the extra cost was another £440 (for 4 drawers, so £110 per drawer. And this was half price so full price is £220 per drawer). They are tiny. Ridiculously so – barely big enough for a few pairs of socks. And as they came as a flat-pack kit, there was no craftsmanship involved in putting them together. Essentially, I paid nearly £450 for some mini-Ikea standard drawers. Not happy about that at all. After-sales service – upon mentioning all of the issue above to customer services, they did initially arrange for an installation manager to come out and inspect the wardrobe. He came, took photos, and generally agreed with everything that I pointed out. And then he left. It’s now nearly 3 weeks later and we haven’t heard anything back from Sharps. I’ve contacted them several times but have only managed to find out that the installation manager hasn’t done or submitted his report yet so they can’t do anything. In summary – not as good quality build-wise, material-wise or customer-service-wise as we had been led to believe and hoped, and certainly not worth the money. Would have accepted the numerous deviations from the ideal that they promote if the price was a lot lower. A LOT lower. Since originally composing this review a couple of weeks ago, Sharps have attempted to make some amends. They sent an installer out to re-fix 3 of the pieces of the wardrobe and put some sealant around most (but not all) of the edges, which has improved the overall appearance of the wardrobe. They also offered my £300 compensation, but even taking this into account, the service and product provided still do not come anywhere near representing good value for money. They refused to do anything about the ridiculously small drawers, stating that they “are the size they are and that’s it”. It’s a shame because you can see that, given better materials and more time to do a proper job, the installers would have been able to give us something really nice. Instead, I just am left considering myself to have been ripped off to the tune of £1000 or more.

Had Sharps wardrobes in my previous home which went very well therefore I asked them to put two new wardrobes in my new home. What a big mistake, the salesman designed the interiors with what I wanted and said there was no problem, so I gave them the deposit. The Surveyor arrived and NO I couldn't have this or that, you can only have what they produce, so the wardrobes were redesigned, despite the fact they didn't fulfil my needs. He discussed with my builder what preparation was needed which was done. How is one supposed to empty two rooms, when one only has two bedrooms. The installer arrived" I cannot do this job as the preparation work required is not done" well we had done all that we had been asked to do. The installer came back the following week and did the job, but left the wardrobes dirty and messy. The left over rubbish was put in a skip I had for another purpose without agreement, saving Sharps money not having to come and collect the rubbish and costing me money in having to have another skip. The company seems to think we are idiots as they have no customer service, and after my experience I would caution anyone using Sharps, I wont have them in my house again.

We were very impressed with the courteous and skilled workman who carried out the work. He went through the whole day with barely any breaks in order to get it done in time for us. Also the delivery staff were very polite and efficient. The wardrobes look lovely and it's so nice having a space for everything!

Very prompt response from my first visit to the showroom, Sharps came out the next day to discuss & give a price, which we thought was reasonable. The fitter was very pleasant and did a good job He also cleared and cleaned up well afterwards as there was a lot of sawdust. We were very pleased with the whole thing.

I have just looked at some of the other reviews and think it must depend on the area you're based because my experience with Sharps has been nothing short of excellent. The original salesman was knowledgeable, friendly and very detail fussy (which I liked) and together we discussed my ideas. The surveyor was also very knowledgeable and pointed out what could and what couldn't work from the original ideas drawn up by the salesman...and this made sense as he was, afterall, meant to do this. The wood delivery was a bit inconvenient in that I had to move all my furniture out of the room and sleep in the spare bedroom - and this should really be explained at the start of the process... but, the fitter, was brilliant! He studied the plans and then asked me if I wanted to make a slight adaptation that would ake it all much better - I loved that he had the foresight and skills to improve the reality, rather than just blindly following the drawings. The finished result was excellent - I really love the extra space I have and everyone thinks the wardrobes look amazing. The fitter consulted me every step of the way during the two days he was here - he was methodical and dare I say, a perfectionist, and this really suited me! Five stars!!

Excellent service, very professional fitter - hassle free and neat. The whole process was extremely efficient and organised. Original quote wasn't justified and had to negotiate for a more reasonable costing, this was the only negative.

Beautifully fitted and the surveyor managed to fit a four door run into the sloping roof space in our 'dorma' bedroom 2. The survey was swift, delivery was on time and the fitting was exactly as scheduled. The fitter did a fantastic job and couldn't have been more accommodating and professional. We are delighted with the result.

I would just like to say from start to finish Sharps have been very good with the design, delivery and installation. The fitter was excellent, worked tidily and cleaned up after himself, I cannot believe how much more space I have now. I was very happy with the service from Sharps.

Well fitted in the space but, unfortunately not to the same quality of our other fitted wardrobes we have in two other bedrooms from Hammonds. The offer price, for this bedroom, was the same but the end result is somewhat different. Whilst the overall effect is good the hinges are very poor, just screwed on the outside unlike the Hammond which are like the hinges on kitchen doors. This means they only open to 90 deg which in a tight space is restrictive. In our estimate we had asked for the skirting and Ceiling Cornice to be continues along the new wardrobes. This was agreed. However, the fitter just said 'I cannot do that'. I therefore did it myself as the end result means the new wardrobes look as though they were always there and not an afterthought!!

From start to finish, girls in store great, helpful and knew their stuff, the visit from the guy who planned and priced the job, rubbish, he was rude and didn't want to be there, told me I couldn't have what I wanted which was sliding doors so got him to stay and plan out fitted doors which he wasn't impressed about, he made me feel like I lived in rented accommodation and couldn't afford their product, I rang him later to say I would proceed with the job then had someone else come and measure, then the fitter arrived which was a mission he complained he didn't have enough room, what a mess, why can't they cut outside on a dry day? The finished product looks nice but poor materials used and never worth the price, would I have them to do anymore word, one word NO

second time we have used Sharps - different houses. Both times excellent service, polite friendly staff and fitters. They all certainly know what they are doing. Choosing was easy and no hard sale either. Bagged a deal!! Plenty of compliments from visitors too

This is quite a complicated procedure! First a visit from surveyor number 1 who gives you some sales talk, and makes an initial drawing. This man wasn't very nice and I had to really fight to get what I wanted. He didn't tell me about all the options available either, so I didn't find out until the fitter came what I could have had. He seemed in a awful hurry and got angry at me! Then surveyor number 2 comes and tells you that you can't have it exactly like the first surveyor drew, and more decisions have to be made. Then you have to wait in for the wood to arrive, which is inflexible and has to be put in the room, and the room has to be emptied of furniture before they arrive. They wont help you to move it. Since I am a woman alone I had to arrange someone else to help me with this. Then the fitter arrives a few days later. In my case the fitter was very good, but I wish I could have discussed it with him during the planning stage.
