Terrible service. I used service for Service and MOT as expecting to get my car back in evening. I waited for 4 days to get my car back from Garage- yes 4 days to complete MOT/Service. There was no customer service standard to update me on progress in 4 days, everyday i was calling morning and afternoon to find when i am going to get my car back. Every time you call there, there were more than 15 min wait to get some one to talk and every time u explain them.. Sounds cheap for Service/MOT but rip off in any small repair. Do not use it and do not recommend to use their service. Use local trusted garage.

We sent our Vehicle in for a new timing chain to be replaced through SERVICE STOP to a garage called SURREY AUTOS CARE in CHESSINGTON It had taken this garage nearly 2 weeks to fix a timing chain,4 days later I had to call SERVICE STOP they told us to make a payment as my vehicle would be with us in a few minutes we paid the high invoice and my vehicle still did not turn up for another 5 days, the communication with service stop is disgraceful and unprofessional,we had to chase them every day on the phone....we have never experienced this very bad service NEVER AGAIN.....

Terrible service my car was picked up at 8.30am I had to make several calls to get any update, needed 2 very minor works ie re adjusting head light and was charge £150 for that on top of service charge. It’s now 8pm and I’ve still not got my car back - no updates, it’s me having to do all the calling. I will never use this service again it’s apauling customer service and care

Appalling customer service. Called me up while they had my car to recommend three additional treatments that were "needed" and I had to confirm there and then whether to go ahead. I veto'd two as completely unneccessary. Third one I'd never heard of but was told my car really needed it. Googled it as soon as I got off the phone and discovered it too was a complete waste of money. Called back to cancel it, but apparently in the two minute gap between calls the garage had done the job and I'd have to pay £60 for it. Avoid!

Efficient, reasonably priced for the work I had done which was a service and MOT. Service Stop did call and say that I needed various things doing on my car but the prices they quoted were way too high and I knew I could get it done cheaper elsewhere. All in all very pleased, this is the second time I’ve used them.

I have agreed to a full service for just over £102, received a call that they needed to perform some AD dirko al works urgently, that added up to £247, which needed to be paid within an hour from receiving the call. A day after, my car has started to present problems that were never there before, therefore I’m extremely dissatisfied with their work and the prices.

Tramps showed up to collect my work 1 year old work van , Dropped it back sounded like a 10 year old tractor, And didn't stamp the book. And damaged the under trap so it's not secured now. They make you leave reviews before you pay to get your vehicle back , I wish I had read some reviews before using these tramps, Never again .. AVOID .......

Very bad experience with a huge rip off. If you prepare to pay few hundred pounds for a MOT, servicing stop will be your first choice. If I can give -5 stars, I will. I wont use servicing stop again, and writing this review to hope people wont fall into the trap like I did. My car never had so many light failing in the past, The garage 'Advanced Autos (Watford) Ltd' came back and told me my car fails nearly all head/fog/side/front & back lights. Of course if I don’t agree to replace them all, my car wont pass the MOT……..and wont get the car back neither. The garage also suggested to replace the brake fluid which cost £70 + vat, but the brake fluid has been changed not long ago......interesting? Another suggested replacement from garage which costs over £230 (excluding VAT) I booked the MOT with full service too with servicing stop over 3 weeks in advance, the day before the MOT date, I then received a phone call from garage telling me tomorrow they have been fully book and the next available day is in 5 days time. This literally meant I cant drive the car for next few days due to my MOT has expired……..it causes me huge inconvenient which they don’t care. I will go back to the chained garage that I used for years.

Booked into service stop 3 weeks ago for a service and mot booked the day off work as I wouldn’t have a car ,received a text message on the day my car was due to be picked up telling me to contact service stop which I did put on hold for 15 minutes for me to then be told the driver had cancelled from the garage so they would have to re schedule so I’m now left with trying to find a garage to mot and service my car 😡😡😡 before the mot runs out and will have to book another day off work !

Booked for a service and MOT car was supposed to be picked up between 8am & 10am. The driver didn't turn up until 11.00am. I work nights so had to stay up and was then told the car would not be back till 6.00pm. They then rang to say that, they advised the car needed an engine flush even though it's only done 8K miles. Told then I was not paying for this if it was not needed for service and MOT pass. When they dropped the car back the drivers proceeded to race my car round our road which is a very narrow residential street 3 times before having to be flagged down. Called Servicingstop to complain and still haven't had a response. DO NOT USE this company.

Overall the garage carrying out the 2 year service was punctual and well mannered and was very good. I was very disappointed when it came to paying as ‘servicing stop’ then stated the cost had increased by circa 40% due to extras. In this case simply bleeding the brakes which took it from circa £131 to circa £195. I was told it had to be done and had no option but to agree and pay it to get my car back. This put the price above the dealership full service price which I originally rejected when checking the completion prices. My understanding is the brakes don’t need to be filled and bled till about the third year or so and particularly as my vehicle has only 5300 miles on the clock. Regardless on whether this is right or wrong the extra hidden costs in my view are not acceptable and I will never use servicestop again and certainly do not recommend them.

Booked appointment. They didn’t turn up. Called a couple of times and they said the company collecting got lost (really!!) They rebooked and promised the garage would turn up today. Guess what... they didn’t. Spent over 30 mins trying to get thru on the “help line” but no answer. Won’t be booking with these cowboys again.

I had a similar experience to many other users here - car failed its MOT, needed works, over-priced quote from Servicing Stop and the threat of my car being held by a garage about 15 miles away unless I agree "quickly" to the work. I refused to pay their price, and managed to negotiate directly with the garage holding my car - who laughed when they found out the price Servicing Stop were quoting.

there cant be any worst cheats there cant be any worst cheats. I booked a car service and MOT for my car through Servicing Stop. They quoted £184.00 for the serivce and £19.00 for the MOT. They picked up my car in the morning of 18th March 2019. I got a call form them Late afternoon on the same day, telling me that there was an MOT fail. They needs to change some bulbs and the price they quoted this time was £424.78 more than twice  the origional quote.   I told them to return my car as it is at the price is extorstionist. They told me that they can not return the car and blackmailed me that I will have to payup if I wanted my car back. I eded up paying the price to get the car released. Thius company adiversies sating upto 60% off on servicing and MOT however they are really a con and cheat company who can not be trusted.  they have charged me hundred for things that cost 2-5 pounds each 1.00 CHECK & ADJUST: HEADLAMP ALIGNMENT (MOT FAIL) 40.00 40.00 20.00 8.00 1.00 REMOVE & REFIT: LAMPS EXTERIOR (FRONT) - XENON HEADLAMP BULB RIGHT (MOT FAIL) 112.68 112.68 20.00 22.54 1.00 REMOVE & REFIT: LAMPS EXTERIOR (FRONT) - DIPPED BEAM BULB RIGHT (MOT FAIL) 19.98 19.98 20.00 4.00 1.00 REMOVE & REFIT: LAMPS EXTERIOR (FRONT) - FLASHER BULB RIGHT (MOT FAIL) 12.15 12.15 20.00 2.43 they are proper con artists.  please avoide them at all cost.

I've used them 3 years in a row, I think it's time to call quits. I will break this review down to 2 sections, servicing and MOT. ***Servicing*** 1st year the servicing was good, 2nd year they offered me a bunch of extra work on the car which I stupidly accepted without research, that cost me around £450 in total, now looking back at the bill and doing research it seem it should have cost around £250 max, but Servicing Stop inflate the repair / replacement costs and take a big chunk for their pockets. 3rd year, they said garage didn't have a driver so asked me to drop the car off, that was fine as I was only 12 mins walk from the garage and I was happy to go to the garage and speak to them personally if anything went wrong. Customer service called me to advice that the car needed some repairs and quotes £345 for a service that was supposed to cost £118, I only approved 1 extra job rather than the 4 they quoted me for, and asked them to reduce the price or I wouldn't go ahead with it, he accepted and reduced the price by 30% so I ended up paying £135. Upon going to the garage to pick up the car I spoke to one of the mechanics and asked about the supposed suggested repairs and how much it would cost I was quoted £240 Including the service, Servicing Stop wanted £345. ***MOT*** 1st Mot, I did some basic checks to make sure they wouldn't swindle me, everything was in order, there was no obvious reason the car would fail. they picked up the car and called me later to say the car had failed because the number plate light needs changing, they quoted me £36 plus vat, for a bulb that costs £2 and the number plate lighting fixing is just a clip, a simple push and it falls out, easy change, they did mention a few other things which I can recall right now, anyway I refused to get the work done and requested that they return the car. When they returned the car I had a MOT pass certificate on my passenger seat, I contacted servicing stop and asked why the garage had issued a pass certificate when they said the car had failed, Servicing stop had a stupid excuse, "the garage sometimes carry out the work in advance to save time, it seems that's what they've done and consequently the car passed the second time", that didn't sound right, they need customer approval before carrying out any work, they told me I wouldn't be charged for the extra work as it was done without approval and I had got my pass. Upon checking the number plate light housing I can see they haven't even touched it, it was still very dirty, had they opened the housing and replaced the light (albeit without my approval) it would be obvious as there would be finger prints or parts of it would be clean, Servicing Stop refused to accept that the garage was doing something dodgy. 2nd MOT, date was booked, they called me the day before to cancel, I had already taken time off work to wait at home, they didn't find an alternative garage, I took it elsewhere. I would never use their service again, they over inflate prices, of corse they need to make a profit but they seem to take a massive chunk, they want £125 for a repair that would cost £25, they really need to sort out their prices and stop ripping people off.

I feel very stupid I should of researched this company they picked my car up with a quote for full service and m.o.t costing 145 in total 2 o clock I receive a call off a guy speaking very quickly to catch me off guard just heard 329 at the end as I didn't want the extortionate brake pads the charges were for a pollen filter brake fluid and fuel treatment lol none of which costs more than a few quid no oil change which should be done on a full service used quarter of a tank of fuel in fact I don't think anything has been done please do not use this company I wanted to cancel but couldn't get in touch no one answers.

Unfortunately cant give them less than one star, or I would. Charging nearly 4 times as much as the garage was actually receiving for doing the work!! Went directly to the garage the next time and was told that the garage were having to appoint a debt collecting agency to get their money out of Servicing Stop!

Do not use this company, they tell you one price and charge you 65% more. The service and mot price was good, the garage turned up to my car an hour later than agreed which should have set the alarm bells but I need the mot ASAP. The garage rang to say it would fail it’s mot as the an engine warning light remained on and under the new mot rules this was a fail. I accepted this and agreed to this being investigated as well as replacing three tyres as they couldn’t release the car until repaired. I agreed a tyre and price with servicing stop and then advised that I should take the car to a main dealer but they could now return my car. A link was sent to pay the bill and the invoice would then follow. The price was a lot more than I expected but I paid as I need my car for a family event. I wrongly assumed the extra cost was for fixing the engine light issue. How wrong and gullible was I, they had added £344.24 extra to the tyres more than the garage sold themselves and more than they quoted. I accept I was gullible pensioner but I would not use servicingstop again for anything. I am going to report this to trading standards in the hope others will not be ripped off.
