Booked a week in advance for mot and service had to ring them nobody turned up said garage they were using had ceased trading and wouldn't be able to do my car now have no Mot and a wasted week

I did not read the reviews before I booked a service mot and got confirmation of date and time. Seems I had a lucky escape as they did not turn up

do not use this company as a garage that used to work for them they add things on the list that dont need doing. charge extreamly over inflated prices and are rude and very pushy. any garage on there system or thinking of joining get out of there asap we have just had to get bailifs in for the 8k they owed us 2 other garages nearby us are also owed in excess of 20k so garages are obviously droping out hence why they cant get any work done aviod at all costs

I won't go into too much detail but they took my car, my car that was working fine. It went for a service and it came back unusable. The car seized. It cost me nearly £3000 to fix, inclusive of a new engine and turbo. They have repeatedly avoided responsibility. The complaint that started in June last year is only just coming to an end. I am. Going through their ADR (dispute resolution group with an independant company). Might I add that this is the second time I have had to go through one of their ADR Groups. They didn't pay the first company they had a membership with, which led to the actual ADR group dubbing them useless and cancelling their membership. Hoping for a good result from this atrocious situation.

Embarrassed I did not read the reviews before selecting servicingstop. Inflated quotes for unnecessary work, which they are quite pushy for you get done (obviously). My car was returned from an MOT and service with an indicator light not working, servicing booklet not signed, tyre pressures low, not sure car was touched to be honest. Charged £330 instead of initial quote of less than half this to realign headlamps and for an engine flush, change of brake fluid and fuel treatment. The last three of which I really didn't want, but wasn't really given the choice to decline over the phone. Terrible customer service when I complained. Avoid at all cost, this company is a sinking ship, just look at the last 50 reviews on here, I suspect some of the 5 star reviews may be fraudulent.

THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST COMPANY/CUSTOMER SERVICES I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE!!!! I booked for a full service and MOT 2 weeks in Advance (I’m a student and also work at a hospital) they came to collect my car no problem, took pictures, told me I would be updated throughout the day and that car would be back by 6pm latest as that was the time Garage closed and off they go. This was purposely book for a day I only had to work from 4pm to 10pm (Monday) so arranges for a friend to be at my place from 5pm to as they told me they could only deliver where they picked up from. No updates whatsoever throughout the day, received a link at 5pm requesting payment (no additional charges) paid straight away and immediately received a receipt for this. At around 7 pm on my break my friend had missed called so many times, I call back she says the car still not delivered, after so many attempts to call servicing stop I call the Garage directly and the girl who picked up the phone said that the garage closed at 6pm and that they never received confirmation from SS that payment had been made so they couldn’t release the car even though it was ready and done by 4pm. I told her I have the receipt and she said unfortunately she had to get that info from them and even so it was too late anyway as she was by herself at that point and there was no one to deliver the car, I was fuming as I had a full busy And early day the next day, uni and work, bare in mind my uni is about an hour from where I live. Again tried to call SS and finally this rude, condescending, patronising excuse of an agent was just dismissive to the all situation, saying there’s nothing they could do I was just going to have to wait, not even so much as an apology. Constantly interrupting me asking where my uni was, which was irrelevant, she then proceeded to over talk me and simply said “I’m just asking so you can take a taxi there and back and then we’ll just give you the money back” like people are actually obligated to have taxi money for a 2 hour journey, especially a student. I went ballistic to the lack of consideration and after a few threats to the motor ombudsman, she changed her approach and said she would get the manager to contact me 1st thing in the morning. I took a talk to uni in the morning (cost me £45 each way) and the whole hour journey was on a waiting queue on the phone because needless to say no one called back. After an hour I really had to go into my lecture so hung up the phone and tried again at lunch time (again no one tried to even call or email during this time, nothing, simply silent) called back at lunchtime again another 45min on hold, finally another rude, unprofessional, patronising, arrogant excuse of an agent answered the phone, again not even acknowledging the lack of communication and just talked over me saying make sure someone is at home the car will be delivered in an hour. Again I had to call in a favor to the same friend who previously waited hours to be at my place, she was their within 20 min. An hour goes by and I start receiving calls from the garage Confirming car was delivered and my friend Saying she’s still waiting for the car to arrive, confused I called the garage directly and was advised a SS staff delivered the car, she told me the address and yes, it was the wrong address, they simply through the car key through the letterbox and left. It was a house on the road down from nine and the lady from garage asked me if I didn’t have a spare key or even knew the person who’s house they left the key in, I could just go and ask or collect my car with the spare key. I cannot express how angry I was at this point, I said to the lady, I now could not be interrupted as I was coming in and out of an important lecture and to sort it out, or I was going to call the police, we didn’t even know if the owner of the house had gone on holiday, she blamed the SS staff and vented it was not the first time this happened and they were pulling the contract they had with them. I advised if something happened to the car it would be their responsibility, she said “it’s raining a lot, it would save us staying here until there’s somebody home if you had the spare key” I just screamed “ SORT IT OUT YOURSELVES” anyway, my friend told me they stayed at this persons front door from 1pm until 6pm which is when the person showed up, and collected the key thrown in the letterbox and delivered the car. They refunded the taxi money but it took 15 working days. I also had recommended this to a friend a work (obviously before I knew this would all happen) and she told me they collected her car and delivered on time however most lights on the dashboard that lead her to even book the service like oil light, service light and some flui light were still on when the car was delivered, she complained and was in fact proven that nothing was done even thought the reports said otherwise, they gave her the money back and she went to a garage who also confirmed nothing had been done. So yes, this service and staff are less than garbage, despicable people and services.

These guys deserve to be shut down as they are scammers. I don't understand why they are still allowed to do this to people. I used them a couple years back and they complete rip off and my brother in law and husband used them for MOT and servicing after I warned them not too. And behold they charged them £880 and said brake pads need changing and added a bunch of other fees. They fail you for anything and trap you to pay. In the end paid £327, it's painful to see that happen to family but I did warn them to stay clear.

I read the reviews i wished i never had used these people i am ashamed i ignored them, if i could have gave it minus stars i would have done if you read this than please please do not use the company. I used these in 2018, apart from lack of communication from them it was okay. That was until 2019 when they took my car it failed it’s MOT i knew from 10:30am that it failed as i checked the Government site (i had to use this last year to keep check as no one phones). Anyway back to the 16th after checking the site i phoned up at 13:00 to find out what needed doing and how much it was going to cost. Well at 16:00 i was still waiting to find out so i phoned up yet again to be told it was light bulb to be able to pass its MOT which was fine. This is when they come up with a list of other items such as the brake fluid needed to be replaced which was £77 than Fan Belt at £300 and Aux cable at £150 plus the MOT and Service it come to £700. I said no am not paying that as i only wanted it to pass the MOT. We found another garage that was far cheaper for the other items. So i happy paid the £222 i needed to get my car back. I went home from work to find NO car. I waited outside for about a hour to wait for my car NO car. The drop off time come and went and still NO car and not one single phone call to say my car was being kept over night. The next day i phoned up to find out where my car was too be told it won’t be brought back to me until Lunch time. Why it wasn’t done first thing i never know all i can say is bloody good job i don’t need the car for work. Never never use again.

Booked car in for MOT and service, Car failed MOT for two rear tyres, not complaining about tyres, but also failed on headlamp alignment (adjusted last year!) . For this they charged £66 - almost as much as the initial service, and charged nearly £80 for coolant replacement. Not authorised, but overlooked by me as initially huge amount of pressure to settle bill in order to release car. Basically they lure people in by cheap MOT and service - but outrageously overcharge for 'extras' - it seems their 'salesmen' get paid on commission for extra work - search on line for 'Rogue Traders' etc, - they are a total con and should be avoided.

Very poor service! DON'T BOTHER. PURE SCAM. Totally ruined a well planned out schedule and let me down last minute! I booked nearly 3 weeks ago for service and MOT. Just had a call to say my appointment was cancelled as apparently there are no garages available in my area. No solutions offered. Blamed the garage for not informing them and took no responsibility. It took one call to a local garage to get an appointment for tomorrow morning for MOT! This is a truly unreliable company.

Horrific service and Garage they sent our car to. They try to insist you need an engine flush, they do not do a full service its a total waste of money. Do not use. We booked through Servicing Stop. Please avoid avoid. Incredibly unprofessional and totally inflated prices. How they are trading is beyond me.

so for the 2nd time in 2 years they never turned up AGAIN - it wont be given a 3rd - trust me - what a complete utter bag of spanners - or lack of them more like, even spent 10 mins on hold and lost the will to live DO NOT USE THESE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Failure by the garage to pick up. Two emails unanswered in spite of promises. Two attempts to phone with 15 and 25 minute waits for an answer. Garage reported phoning to check I was in - no call indicated on my phone so they lied. The only good thing to be said for this company is that the manager at least gave me the call back I requested. Don't have anything to do with this company would be my advice.

The £84 service was too good to be true! I tried to call them to see when my car was likely to be returned but got no answer on the two numbers listed on their website. Some hours later they called be with the results of their checks, telling me that if I used white vinegar to clean my wiper blades they would not need to change them thus saving me £70, which must have been platinum coated! That was the good news and I thanked the guy for the tip. He then read me a list of work that was needed, replacement brake fluid as there was water in mine, that would be £76.44 (what brand of brake fluid costs anywhere near that?) and then an engine flush for £54.16! and a new alternator belt for £195!!! I declined the latter knowing that even the most expensive belt for my car was less than £30. So my £84 service ended up costing £256! This morning I booked my car in with another garage to replace the alternator belt, to be told that it was practically new and didn't need replacing! There is now way on earth that I would ever use ServicingStop ever again and would highly recommend others to avoid them completely.
