My car was taken to Beddington garage. The only positive is that they came to collect on time. The negatives; They rang about 2 hours later, spoke in technical terms for nearly 15 minutes non stop (giving me no opportunity to ask questions or time to understand what he was talking about) to then state that over £1200 worth of work needs doing. After questioning a few points, it was all of a sudden down to around £600 (which made me doubt his moral compass). He was constantly trying to rush us to get the work done but after another 10 minutes of conversation the total cost (incl MOT and service) was down to just over £350 (around 70% difference from the original quote). Clearly the mechanic was clearly trying to make some money out of us and I'm sure he does this to plenty of other people who are less likely to question what they say. We're left quite disgusted with the way he spoke to us and the fact they he was dishonest and unprofessional throughout. Furthermore, some of the fixes are a botch job. A reflector panel that needed fixing, has been covered with a bit of crappy red film that's half peeling off already. God only knows what work has actually been done to a high standard. I won't be using them again and instead will find a local trustworthy garage for the next service.

I booked for my van to be serviced and mot'd today. I had a confirmation text yesterday to explain they were collecting the vehicle between 8 and 10am. At gone 11am I called to see where they were. They said they tried calling yesterday. My phone was off and they weren't able to leave a voicemail (what a load of rubbish!). I could have dropped the can off to them but today was no longer available to carry out the work. I now have no mot from tomorrow. Luckily quick fit have fitted me in and are much more professional. I wouldn't touch this company with a barge pole!

Complete waste of money. They will try to charge you for extra parts that are not broken. And fill you're car up with Oil even when needed and charge you for a 2l bottle of engine oil. Not to mention the time taken to get the car back when they estimated a time slot. This was not met. Please dont trust these people as they will charge you £500 for a service. They are very pushy on the phone when asked about details. This definitely needs the attention of someone like watchdog (bbc). Dont trust!

I had my car booked in for MOT and service today. The car was collected and work done. I received no text, phone call or email from them so I could pay. I have been on hold for 2 hours to the company trying to pay and can't get through to anyone. The garage is refusing to let me have the car back as I haven't paid and my wife is stranded in a remote place in the Mendips. I am certainly taking these scumbags to court as my car is still impounded and I have no idea how I am going to get it back.

Please avoid. They are scammers pure and simple. I was attracted by the low initial service costs. They called to advise that the rear brakes should be replaced as well as brake fluids. The also advised other things which I declined. I agreed but called 5 minutes later to cancel. I was put on hold for an hour before someone answered to say that it was too late and that I had to pay in excess of £380 for the work done. A similar job with my local garage would have cost £120. I suspected something was up so at the same time I called I sent multiple emails to them informing them I wanted to cancel. It did not work. It is a scam. Some people may be lucky if a reputable garage picks up their car. The problem is that all you know is servicing stop and you don't know much about the actual garage servicing you car.

The worst week of my life just got significantly worse thanks to these guys - the initial cost is cheap for a reason. These guys are con artists through and through. Expect everything that needs doing to your car to have the cost inflated beyond anything you could possibly have imagined. I've just been informed by them that it would cost £600+ to get my car through an MOT. I got a second opinion, was told that SS are scammers and that it should cost me no more than £200. I've now shelled out £120 just to get them off my back, and I'm having to take my car elsewhere.

Avoid!!!! I booked online 10 days before I wanted to have a service giving them plenty of time to find a garage and get me booked in. I received a call the working day before my service was due to say that no garage could be found until the following week, I'd booked the day off work so I was angry and disappointed at the awful service I'd received. The person on the phone had a 'not my problem' vibe to him which resulted in me ending the call. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!

Great that they pick up and drop off but that’s where servicing stops good value ends. Had the obligatory call to sell me extra expensive oil(£24 ON TOP of the service), fuel filter, pollen filter and brake fluid change. Turned down all of that but still had to fork out over £700 today for them to release my car which included an extortionate £30 to fit a new tyre(which I supplied and by comparison Bathwick tyres do this for £10) and over £500 to fit two parts costing £60 combined....You get a very quick breakdown of parts over the phone but you don’t actually see what you’ve paid for until you get your invoice. No wonder they’ve been on Watchdog. Won’t ever be using servicing stop again and would highly recommend others don’t too.

The most expensive service I've ever… The most expensive service I've ever had by some margin. Lots of BS and adding unnecessary items on. More expensive than original manufacturer. Will never use again!

Not happy. On the website they said cheap price then they sent me a high bill. All they done they sent the car to a garage not far from where I live. I could've driven to any garage my self.

I own a garage and we were signed up with them as a preferred outlet, however we were never ever scrutinised to make sure we even existed! Their sales tactics are heavy and they would go against our advice rather than losing a sale. Rather than compromise the work we do, we decide to stop using them as much for new work. Currently they owe us almost £3000 for unpaid work, yet they have taken the money from the customers. As soon as we started to challenge for the money they owe us, they simply switched us off the system and will never return a call. My advice is to stay away with them whether you a garage or a customer. We are currently in talks with a debt recovery agency for the money owed to us.

ooked an appointment for my car to be collected serviced MOTd friday 18th received message advising garage couldnt complete on this date and had been re booked to today. Phoned first thing this morning to double check collection was happening as had heard nothing gave my home number as additional contact numbers just in case. Advised yes it is booked in my additional number would be passed onto the garage dealing. 12pm heard nothing no collected orginally requested a slot in the morning for collection. Called back servicing stop who tried to contact garage and was advised they couldnt get hold would pass it on and get looked into and I would receive a callback. 16.45. Heard nothing...car not collected...a day off work wasted. Terrible...avoid...use a local garage...wish I had done this in the first place. COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME

Full service and MOT requested when I got the car back bill had escalated, the car has now got engine fault light on, and I know for a fact they didn't do everything on the service report they sent me. They said they will investigate the faults for a further fee, I don't think so! My advice avoid. It was St Ives in Cambridgeshire garage I went too. I won't be going back.

Scamming sub contractors that add on work and high end parts that the actual garage doing your work is unaware of. Avoid them!

Booking car in for service was very easy. However, waited for someone to pick up car today between 8 and 10. At 10.35 I tried to ring to see when it was going to be picked up. Waiting for over 5 mins for someone to pick up. Tried another number, same issue. Tried to send a text. It bounced back.... sent an email cancelling my booking and explaining what had happened. No response. Would not use again.

They agreed to pick up my car for a service at 8 am they were 3 hours late no apology given . Hours later was called and advised needed work and would cost over 600 the guy was very pushy and tried to pressure me into paying . I told they i couldn't afford this and in the end had a few things done so paid over three hundred. The next morning my car was leaking oil i thought it was because they had done a oil treatment . The day after however my driveway was covered in oil and was leaking so bad i had to take to a local garage. Quick fit garage were absolute stars they checked it all straight away and told me the wrong oil seal was put on . My car had no oil in it and if i had continued to drive this it may have blown the engine up.They then fixed all this for free putting a new seal on and three litres of oil in. I called serviceingstop to be told it was not there fault and as i had taken to another garage there was nothing they could do . No apology again all they did was insult my grammar on a review i left on trust pilot . Then they reported this so it was removed . I calel

I really should have guessed by the amount of bad reviews this company is disputing on TrustPilot never to use them. I booked in my car for a part service and MOT on October 8th, to take place on October 14th. I chose the service due to the advertised same day turn around and the fact they would collect the car from my place of work, meaning I wouldn't have to take any time out of the office. I received an email on October 13th confirming collection for between 8am and 9am the following morning. On the 14th, around 10am, the car hadn't been collected. I called the call centre, who advised that the garage had left me a message to arrange collection - I checked my voicemail and didn't have anything, although as collection was already confirmed, I don't know why they would need to arrange it again. I was told at this point that they would arrive within the next half an hour. Eventually, around 11:30, they finally turned up to collect the car. They showed me the phone number they had for me, which was incorrect by one digit. I had confirmed with the call centre previously the number they had for me, which was correct, so this communication breakdown was between Servicing Stop and the garage. Before the person collecting left, they verbally confirmed that the car would still be returned that day. Around 4pm, I received a call from Servicing Stop that there would be additional work required, taking me from around the orginal £45 to well over £400. I agreed as I was desperate to get the car back and felt I had no choice. I didn't hear anything more until I chased again around 5pm, when the call centre finally admitted the car wouldn't be returned that day as the MOT test centre had closed. Had it been collected on time in the first place, there would have been ample time for the work to be carried out and re-tested on the day. At this point someone in the call centre advised me that if I kept receipts he would 'look to refund' any incurred taxi fares due to not having my car. When I enquired as to whether 'look to' meant 'would refund' I received no reply. He also told me he would personally call me first thing the next morning, which didn't happen and in fact the next time I spoke to him was when I called in at 12 o clock the following day. There was still no update at this point other than it 'should' be completed today. They have subsequently contacted me to say that I need a new seatbelt, at a further cost of £250!!! Needless to say I have declined this and will sort it myself. An absolute disgrace of an organisation who I will absolutely never use again.
