Booked a full service with MOT with Service Stop... what a disaster and cowboy firm. Called me two days before they were due to pick up. The receptionist was abrupt and non committed saying they couldn’t pick up my vehicle and if I could get it to somewhere 20 miles away they could help!!!! No thanks Thank God I didn’t use them. Totally unreliable and unprofessional. I value my car too much to leave it in their hands!! AVOID!!!!

I have been with Servicing Stop over 6 years. Today, 14/02/2020, I feel blackmailed. I booked for Service + MOT for £96.87 but evetually charged by £142.44, without any agreement in advance. The extra charges were: Low Ash Oil: £28.80 Environmental Surcharge (Min): £7.99 + VAT Fluid Topup Charge £5.99 + VAT After the car is taken, the first call from the service man (Nicolars) added a lot of adviced servicves, very pushing about £809. I asked items by an email I found the total cost should be £783.34. When he called me back, I insistented on the only booked services this time then he tell me that would be £142.44 and threatened to cut off the call. He said sening explaination by text and droped the call suddenly. I only receid 4 text messages to urge the payment "to ensure your vehicle is delivered at agreed time". In the past, Servicing Stop has charged me only on the booked price even though there were expensive "Advisor" services but I have not been forced extra payments like this. This changes of the behavious, like rude advice, inacurate price and forcing extra charges, are disappointing.

Terrible service booked 30/12/19 for 142/20. Called on 12/2 at 4pm when most garages are shut to cancel. So have taken day off work for mot which runs out on the 17th for no reason, now need to spend tomorrow trying to get my car booked in. Did offer an alternative date of the 17 which is no use to me as mot is out and car is needed. Used this service for 5 year def wont use them again. Too little notice did offer 25 off to take monday appointment but not sure how thats helping me

LESSON LEARNT: GO DIRECTLY TO THE GARAGE TO HAVE A QUOTE. I feel very sorry for the call centre operators, who have to take complaint on a daily basis due too the not transparent and overcharched service. No booking reference provided. Booked on the 5/2/20 fot the 10/2/20, took a day off from work to do this. email confirmation received , again no booking reference, SMS and email received to confirm the booking and remind the collection between 8am and 9am. Never arrived, called servicing stop, after 45 min on hold the lady on the line tryied to sort this out , she asked me for a booking reference which I never received, hence she asked me for my car reg num but she pretended that she was not able to hear me anymore and closed che call in my face. very unfair and unprofessional. Called again, 30 more min on hold and the operator apologize for the inconvenience saying that the garage didn't have anyone to pick the car up. I have been offered 25 pounds off if I was going to drop my car off to them. I did it, after 6 hours a received a call back from servicingstop saying that even if I paid for the FULL SERVICE with MOT, i had to pay for the extra costs and he started to talk very quickly about thousand iteam that moved the initial provisional price all included of 149£ to 424.99 £ to -replace engine oil -replace oil filters -brake fluid -replace air/pollen filter -top up brake fluids, clutch, lubricate doors etc etc.. all these voices where already included in the service. very disappointed i asked to have an invocie and to be able to read somewhere on black and withe all the iteam he mentioned to me. i waited for an email. this one was just saying that the invoice would have been sent back to me in 2 3 working days and that i had to follow the link to authorize the payment. the link when opened askes tyou to enter reg numb and reference . the referene provided didnt work. I tried to call back 45 min on hold again. Iasked to the guy of the garage to stopany work they where doing on the car as I was not going to pay such a ridiculous amount of money. after a conversation with the operator that I have to threate somehow, and i felt sorry about it, he change tone of voice to me and he charged me only for the MOT 25 pounds. I felt very sorry for the operator, and this company should shut down as it doesn't offer the service adverticed at all plus it charges for each single iteam even if its icluded already. again don't book any service with this company. if the call centre takes 45 min to pick a call, it's probably cause there are many costumers complaining and not many call centre operato happy to be insulted for a dishonest and overrated service ! people go to work to earn money, they do try to find a way ROB you honestly!

I had my car serviced and MOTed by Servicing Stop. It wasn't cheap but I thought I was paying for good service. I was wrong. After the car was returned from the service I noticed a grinding noise every time I went round a corner. This was new, my car hadn't been making a noise before the "service". As I had just paid a lot of money for my car to be serviced, I assumed that it wasn't anything to worry about - that's why I'd paid almost £800 for a service and MOT. Three weeks after the service, I noticed that my tyres were wearing quickly and took it to a different garage to get them replaced. They checked the tracking and found it was out of alignment so I paid them to rectify it. When I contacted Servicing Stop they informed me that tracking was not part of the service and they were not willing to take responsibility for the fact that my tracking was fine before the service but out of alignment after. I have now paid out around £1,000 in total to get my car serviced, MOTed and repaired after the service. Suffice to say, I won't be using Servicing Stop again and would advise you not to trust these people with your car.

BS overcharged for several items that came up to OVER a GRAND. Preyed on the fact that I was a women and did know any better. My car is only worth £3000 so how you going to charge me £1200?! Silly me. AVOID THEM!! I no who to my local and HONEST GARAGE. Do NOT waste your time with these fraudsters.

There robbers they never even touched my car rang me up saying all these things were wrong with my car it would cost 360 I only wanted a 75 pound service so I said no dont do the work well THATS IT you cant tell these morons no cause I never got my car back after 7 hours . Then at least 4 people rang me with different prices I ended up paying 118 pound and they not even done anything IM WARNING YOU DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEYLL ROB YOU TRUST ME oh and they also used all my diesel before fetching my car back ITS A SCAM!!!!!!

Avoid these guys. I booked for a Full Service and MOT for My MErcedes with Halfords and they subcontracted it to these guys Servicing Stop. Servicing Stop in turn sub contracted the work to one of our local garage. I was given a 09.00 - 10:00 AM collection point and I was waiting patiently untill 10:00 but none turned up. After being on hold for an hour on phone , I was told somebody will come and collect the car. so half day wasted at loss of pay. Now at around 5 pm Service stop guys call me and say , the service all went fine and MOT passed and as per Mercedes Service Schedule , I need to replace certain things and I agreed for it. 30 minutes after this call , the garage guys call me and say they have done the service but they cant clear the Service alert on the system and I need to take it to Mercedes. Are they really joking, after sending me an invoice of £548 they still want me to take it to Mercedes to update the service record on the car's software ? .. Wasted a second day lossing my earnings chasing them all day for nothing. Will never use them and will ensure none in my circle will even think about these people

Firstly they done my service and MOT, great ,now I've been trying to call them to ask why there was a no show for brakes to be done no one is answering the phones on any of the numbers that are provided, wont mind also sign up for there monthly premier customer account, yet there doesn't seem to be any joy with getting through, so the only thing is cancel the DD as they are clearly not reliable such as Shane ad my first experience was good. Dont even understand why your failing so bad, I spent 40mins waiting for an agent to pick up a further 20 mins once home really do you feel your treating your customers and premier customer at that in the acceptable way!!!!

Really helpful to begin with, replied straight back to emails within minutes to ensure they didn’t lose custom, even got offered a £25 reduction due to not been able to offer services on the day preferred. However to get there money back plus more they call to say my car needed a “special oil” (just to note my car is old so why It needed this oil is a question even they could not answer. I have had several services before to which the oil was in the price) this was an extra £28.80 to which I had no choice but to buy, overall my bill should of come to £104 however they can charge what they want as the bill was £121 with no explanation. I have tried to ring them and email them with no response what so ever. I will never use this company again, they are a RIP off.

How I wish I'd read the reviews before booking my car in with this bunch of cowboys! The lure of easy collection/drop-off and cheap pricing definitely reeled me it. 1. The day before my scheduled service and MOT I received a message saying 'due to unforeseen circumstances' they had to reschedule. With some back and forth I managed to reschedule for the following week. 2. On the day the garage contacted me saying they were waiting for the go ahead/payment to Service Stop for additional work they recommended (renew anti-freeze £79.20 and renew break fluid £92.40!!) - I hadn't actually been contacted by Service Stop re this, delaying the garage finishing with my car and bringing it back to me. 3. Oil leaking everywhere after my service! I did get a prompt response from Service Stop, arranging for me to take my car (myself) to the garage that did the work. Spent just under two hours waiting for them to sort the problem - they had broken the seal at the time of service and so replaced it. Don't do it! Next year I'll be going back to the garage that has done my service/MOT previously.

Decent job by the garage spoilt by blatant 'bootstrapping' by Servicing Stop. Topping up brake fluid should be a basic part of the service charge not an added extra. Similarly, for a full service a new air filter should be included in the basic price, not added on.

The first time I was a victim of this ill gotten company, they added unnecessary cost to my bill without any prior communication or agreement. I gave them a benefit of a doubt thinking I got something wrong and paid three times the original bill. It now happened again and this time, it was more ridiculous, embarrassing and devious to fall for this scam. My car was taken for MOT and servicing which cost £120, they told me it failed MOT because of a warning light. I told them the ABS warning light have always been there and it never failed MOT because of that. They requested for diagnostic test, which was charged with VAT. They came back with a report that they need to change the ABS cable before it can pass MOT for £600. I asked them to go ahead because I needed the car the next day. They called me later and said they have a bad news. that the job was done but the light was still on, and MOT still failed (Not re-tested), my bill shoot up to £900. The Rep said to me, if I want my car fixed, It will cost me and extra £3000. I drive a Chevrolet. I requested for the diagnosis report which they did not release, MOT failed result, they have not released. They ceased my car, insisting that I should pay the £900 before they can release my car. I will like to call the attention of the government to investigate this company and shut them down.

PLEASE READ*** Car was supposed to be picked up by 9am and servicing stop had not told the service company so they didnt collect the car until 11am. I then paid for the service at 5pm and was told my car would be returned by 6pm. Car was not brought back and still didnt turn up until 11am next day after 6 phone calls and no communication or help. I then missed a days work and could not take my child to nursery. Avoid this website. Go direct to a local company instead.

Great communication and happy with service. Please note they did offer advisable service but declined as very expensive but otherwise great job. I saw other reviews on this company and would like to state it maybe other mechanics letting the side down not the company so I would defo try them as it is way cheaper than dealers Skoda quoted me 275 my total bill was 150 with base service cost special oil and environmental charges which it states when booking. So people who complain about environmental charge probably don’t realise all service prices include this for oil disposal. It was easy to book the service I booked it and was in 2 days later they were with me before 8am and it was easy to pay for. So the experience for me was excellent.
