They are not reliable. Use your local garage or better still your main car dealers even.

Complete rip off . Charge me fifty pound for collection, it ends up expensive than manifacture dealer. I will never use them again, they had my car for two day. False advertising. Only to ripp you off.

Terrible, terrible service. Unbelievably expensive, loads of hidden charges (many of which are for things most garages include in their service as standard). Impossible to contact them by telephone once they've taken your car and they just keep finding more "essential" work and hitting you with more and more requests for payment. My MOT & service, quoted at £111 ended up costing over £1200. For a 10 year old Peugeot 107. I usually expect to pay in the region of £150 - £200, depending on what work is required. Genuinely horrifying experience. Never again!

Paid in advance for Mot and service plus additional £69.00 for oil change . My car has not been returned it’s now 19.13 ! The garage is not in the same city either. I can’t get to work either I need my car for work . They were only happy to talk with when trying add on a further £188.00 for extra service items but wouldn’t tell me if it’s past it’s MOT, I paid the £69.00 in the hope I could get my car back and not have to be involved with this disputable company . No car no paperwork and nothing to show for my money I feel totally violated service stop they should do just that stop trading there charlatans of the highest degree . I will bereporting this to the police if my vehicle isn’t returned by 10 am tomorrow they took my vehicle with my goodwill to return it the same day. I paid as required £112.00 up front and £69.00on the day before 5pm . Avoid them I never right reviews but I feel so violated I have to expose this shambolic services

Avoid this place, tell you one price to get you to agree to it, then when you get your invoice through is well overpriced, for example Fuel filter was £37 got charged £110 plus v.a.t, when you try to phone them you wont even get through, so to get your car back you need to pay...ABSOLUTE RIP OFF COMPANY SO AVOID..

I had my doubts when my two vehicles were collected by two drivers who were pleasant but they arrived in a vehicle that had not seen a wash or clean in months. Both full services were prepaid Bentley Smart £278.90 £104 inc M OT On being called by the service engineer I was asked for a further £737.83 on the Bentley £250.45 for the Smart £1,033.51 for the Bentley in Total and £354.85 for the Smart (both including VAT) Both vehicles since their last full services a year prior had travelled 1909 miles 532 miles for the Smart Having checked the cars on their return we found neither had been cleaned and indeed the Smarts logbook had not been stamped and the footwell was marred with the drivers boots leaving white footprints and what looked like filler dust on the black floor matting (photo was taken ) The drivers door squeaked at the hinge when opening so it is clear this was not checked per the list of items which the checklist on the service items covers. Several charges on both vehicles are dubious charges and I question were they really necessary. Brake service £166.22 on Bentley Fuel treatment £ 61.34 on Bentley £63.74 on the Smart engine flush £64.99 on Bentley £64.99 on the Smart Renew Brake fluid £91.73 on Bentley £91.73 on the Smart I am left asking what if anything was the money paid over for the service utilized for. As the illustration above indicates the SMART has been charged the same as the Bentley for renewing brake fluid but the capacities on both are from earth to moon in term of quantity required for each vehicle Once agreeing these costs which came as a sort of fait accomplit the cars were delivered back in just over one and a half hours from agreeing so how on earth was all this ancillary work carried out and the vehicles driven from Wembley to SW1 in that time frame. All very spurious. On trying to call Service stop mid afternoon on both their numbers 0800 970 9046 and 0344 2253 303 no one answered and on each occasion the phone rang for 20 minutes before I ended both calls as being fruitless .This was after trying to get back in touch with the local 038701062 service engineer who called to inform me of these considerable sums extra for that merely said the phone box is full and please call back later. As an addendum the Bentley service from the main dealer would have been more expensive but the Smart from Mercedes would have been less . In no case since the Smart was purchased new have we ever had a service with parts more than £300 from the main Mercedes dealer who also collect the car and return it cleaned and valeted. We tried this firm as an experiment but it has turned out to be an overly expensive exercise and take this time and effort to warn others of these manipulative and unnecessary charges which have been assumedly carried out and to which the average person will not know whether this work has been done or not. Stay well away, that is my recommendation. I should have followed my gut feeling when i offered free off street parking to the drivers on seeing their unkept dirty vehicle. We live and learn so therefore merely put this down to experience but definitely will not be using or recommending Service stop again. The software and e commerce from them is first class but the job in hand was not appreciated and the lack of communication by phone and e mail during the service timings was wholly unacceptable

Dreadful service. 90 minutes late picking my car up, nearly 3 hours late returning it. Couldn't get through to anybody and had no idea where my car was. The only contact I had during the day was fo more money. Out of curiosity I checked my dash cam inly to find that the driver removed it down the road and replaced it before coming back so for all I know it was parked up for the day and returned with no work actually carried. I've been trying to get through to them for weeks now and nobody answers the phone. Avoid this company.

I will never use this company again. Before the service I expressed concern about the garage they chose and the advisor promised to call me. Never did. I was overcharged and scammed. Disgraceful

Avoid!!! I booked for a service on the 3/3/21, they ended up not turning up, and servicingstop not answering the phone, then booked an alternative date without consulting me for the 5/3/21. They turned up at 10:30 this time and took the car. At 12:00 I get a call from servicingstop saying the car has this and that, - I say no thanks - and they say that I would have to pay for a special 5w40 fully synthetic premium engine oil however, - I say I dont want it thanks - they say though that they can not let me go without it and have held my car to ransome today 5/3/21 until Monday 8/3/21, I suppose as both Sstop and the garage are close on weekends. They making me lose 3 night shifts and giving me alot of headache. 2005 renault clio 1.5 dci expression.

Please please don't use this company that rip you off. When I said I don't want the work done. I was told I can't get my car back so I had to borrow £214. I'm a single mom.

Please do not use this company. I booked my car in for an MOT and full service as my usual garage was fully booked. Car was picked up from my home in the morning, no problems. I received a call soon after to say that it had failed the MOT. The failures were a near side front coil and near side front macpherson strut needed replacing. They quoted me £780.00. I called my usual garage and they quoted under £200.00! Now I understand that they need to make commission, but £580.00!! I booked the car into my usual garage today and I received a call from them saying that it needed a spring but not as above and they wouldn’t of failed it for that. However, they also said that I have a deep split in my tyre which should of been detected during MOT and failed, but it wasn’t. I am very concerned and I would urge everyone to steer clear. Thank goodness, I contacted my garage for advice. I also went to the garage yesterday to pick the car up myself as it was gone 5pm and I couldn’t get in touch with anyone to let me know that my car was being brought back the same day. I don’t even know if it had a full service as no stamp in my log book. To be honest, I’ll be booking it into my usual garage for a service anyway. I didn’t even want to give it 1 star but had to.

Full service includes oil change right? Interesting that you didn't turn off the oil change warning light when you "serviced" the car I selected over a week for reply time.. The actual answer is never, but its not an option on this site

Insanely expensive compared to going direct to the garage (they charged me £493 for a service on a 2 year old hatchback, should have been about £180), and they'll take your car away, not tell you where it is, and refuse to give it back until you've paid. They also don't reply to emails and no-one answers their phones - I had no car overnight, and the only contact from Servicing Stop was automated text messages telling me to pay for work I had repeatedly emailed asking them not to carry out. Stay away from this company! I have a case open with Trading Standards, if you've had a similar experience with Servicing Stop please contact me. (BewareServicingStop dot co dot uk)

Update to previous post - the airbag and tyre pressure light came on when I started my car this morning (returned last night). Chased this up with online support and contacted my usual local garage. I was informed that my car had not been retested, after initially paying for them to investigate the airbag light on my car. No one had informed me of this / didn't offer to carry out further repairs / MOT retest. If I had not queried this then I would've been none the wiser and driving around without an MOT and therefore invalid insurance. So what I can gather is, I have been astronomically overcharged for basic work, which has been carried out to bare-minimum standards, if at all. My car was returned having failed the MOT, it was not retested and I was not informed of this, yet charged for work to be carried out. I have now rebooked into my local garage and will have to pay for a new MOT and any work that has been missed / not completed. Queried it with online support and when the conversation became difficult (ie. I wanted compensating for the £500+ that I had paid), I was ignored. I am absolutely disgusted with this company and annoyed at myself for not doing my research. Don't waste your money - you won't be helped, they don't care and undertake questionable work.

I was told if I paid in advance for an MOT and Service it would cost me £56, sounded too good to be true. The garage called me and told me I’d need £1000 work done I refused and said fail the MOT and drop my car back. I will get it done elsewhere and get a second opinion. I then got another bill saying I had to pay an additional £54 with an invoice that said I was paying for services that I had already paid for. I have been on the phone trying to find out where my car is, what garage it is at. No response and have been on the phone for 40minutes with no way to contact either. Where is my car? Tempted to call the police to locate my car as stolen. The most stressful, useless, money grabbing company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I wouldn’t even tell my worst enemy to use them.

Thought this was an excellent idea and really helpful, as my usual garage couldn’t fit me in. The car was promptly collected at 9am on Friday - the driver was very pleasant. No contact from anybody all day, by 5pm I tried to call customer services a number of times, but the number was constantly engaged and online assistance was shut. At 7.15pm I received two texts that stated that they had tried to contact me (no phone calls appeared on my phone and no v/mails left). I accepted that this may have been my issue, so had to accept that my car would not be returned that evening. Customer services shut on Saturday and Sunday, so contacted the garage, who were unable to give me any info, as they were running the office from home. Again, no fault of theirs, so had to accept that I wouldn’t have a car all weekend. I tried contacting the number that was texted to me at 9am today (Monday), constantly busy. Managed to speak to an advisor online who said they would ask someone to call me. Had to chase again an hour and a half later. Finally spoke to someone at approx. Midday. I was quoted approx. £1300.00 for the work to be done on my car - I agreed for it to happen as was advised that it was a ‘must’. When the invoice was sent to me, everything on it was advisory (except for the air bag fault light) this was not fed back to me clearly in the phone conversation. I promptly cancelled front / rear brake discs and pads, and agreed for additional work to be carried out at a cost of £400 - which appeared very high for the work that was done. At this point I’d had enough and just paid it, because I wanted my car back. I was charged an environmental surcharge (unsure what this is, as invoice was emailed to me) and for washer fluid (which was filled to the brim the night before the car was collected). Again, had had enough and couldn’t be bothered to contest this. No contact again on whether the car would be returned, so had to contact online help and was advised that my car would ‘definitely’ be returned this evening. Finally at 7.10pm my car arrived. The driver dropping it off was, again, very pleasant and apologetic. I am just thankful to have my car back. This has been unnecessarily stressful and I don’t feel that there is much thought to communication, customer service or transparency - I don’t mind paying for necessary work, however quoting me over £1000 (in addition to the MOT and service cost) on unnecessary work is abhorrent. I already feel that I have been ripped off for the advisory work that I did agree to have done, however I can imagine that there are far more vulnerable people who have come off a lot worse. I am grateful to have my car back, but I will never be using this service again or recommending it to anyone.
