Absolutely appalling, shoddy company!!! BE WARNED....DO NOT USE THEM AT ALL... I booked my car in for a full service, paid £79 - it was collected from my home. Didn’t hear anything all day despite me trying to call (twice) to ask how it was all going. At 5:30pm I get a call from some random guy called Chris who basically tells me there’s a long list of things wrong with my car!! After 10 minutes of him waffling on (scaremongering) I agreed to pay for 3 of the items as he said they would not be able to release my car and produce a full service report without those items being addressed!! The other 5 items he spoke of where BIG TICKET items that he estimated would cost a minimum of £750+ vat. He talked about a vague, strange knocking noise that needed investigating ...I was appalled....I ended up paying £216 (to fix the 3 key items) on top of the £79 I’d already paid in the morning. I was so cross... I knew I’d been ripped off and couldn’t do anything about it as they had my car...! I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN...ITS JUST A BIG MONEY MAKING SCAM!!!!!!! PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM SERVICING STOP!!!!☠️

How this company can get away with what they're doing is beyond me. The 1st quoted price is not what you will pay. Once they have your car more and more charges will be added. I booked a service and MOT. Car failed on 1 coil spring which was replaced for £350. The end price came in at £1700. They don't release your car until you've paid. £210 to replace fuel filter £30 special oil I forgot to include locking wheel nut and have been charged £300 to remove the lock nuts. £100 to replace brake fluid. Absolute con.

Avoid this company like the plague - total con! They offer a competitive service quote but it's all downhill from there! They claimed my car needed repairs of almost £800. I questioned this and the person I was speaking to became flippant, claiming I would be putting the return driver at risk by not authorising the repairs! I was also told I would have to pay an extra 24.99 for 'specialist oil' otherwise the car would not be returned! They also claimed I had authorised this - I had not. This final extra cost was 46.77. It is interesting to note that the driver who returned my car said he had used ordinary synthetic oil - so the company lied. I tried ringing to question this final amount but I was on constant hold and I gave up after some 40 minutes. I will be contacting trading standards.

PLEASE do not use this scamming outfit. I used them for a basic service 12 months ago. They come and collect your car, and a dodgy guy takes photos of your car. Disappeared, came back with car later on. They demand payment before they will release car. Basic service is £45 but charged me £135 , whether any work was carried out is questionable.

Total crooks. Completely overcharged me at every step of the way for my car Service. Even called to tell me I needed premium oil for my oil change - FOR AN ELECTRIC CAR! Complete liars and charitans. Your costs will be inexplicably high. Do NOT book with them. Look up a local garage and read their reviews. They will be the ones who do the actual job anyway, whilst Servicing Stop just rip you the customer off and also rip off the local garage. They are an uneccessary and profiteering middle man. STOP. don't use Servicing Stop.

This is truly the worst experience I've ever had in my whole life,it's a rip off, don't believe the low prices offered, it will end up costing a packet, I made 4 different dates for the car to be picked up and they finally turned up at the fourth date, which cost me £60 in lost earnings at work, I originally intended to send in this review to worn the public off this company but judging by the reviews that are posted here it appears that it was a waist of my time. AVOID THIS MICKEY MOUSE OUTFIT ATALL COST

Worst company I have ever encountered! Collected car fine. Then it took 1.5 hours to get through to them when I missed a call. Finally after getting through I was told my MOT failed and to fix it, it would cost £1100! They told me what needed fixing, and of course I declined this ridiculous price. When I got the invoice through my initial £92 interim service and MOT had gone up to £145! The additional charges they add on are a joke. I paid it just to get rid of them. When I finally got my MOT certificate it shows yes the car had failed the MOT, but only on 3 things. Servicing stop had told me it needed 6 separate repairs to fix my car. They are liars, cheats, claim all cars need ‘special oil’ (what a crock) and try to scam as much money out of you as possible. AVOID these cheating scum bags

Truly awful. They will be many additional costs on top of the price quoted. You will not be able to contact the garage or service stop once they have your car. They will send you messages saying you must pay these extra fees regardless if you don't agree, to get your car "released". 3.5 stars? No chance, something odd there. Look them up, they have been on Watchdog. It's a rip off.

Absolutely shocking! I booked my car in for a service at the reduced rate of £99.44. I was then told I'd get a further £15 discount if I paid upfront which I did. Car was meant to be picked up between 8 -10am. It was only collected at 10h30. I received a call 3 hours later to tell me I needed an oil change (Surcharge of £24.00 +VAT as it's specialist oil) and an Engine flush (£54.16 + VAT) amongst a few other things which I declined. I said I didn't want the Engine Flush but was told quite forcefully I had to have it done due to the oil change. I reluctantly agreed to this. I was then told the charge would be £111.76. and to pay ASAP to have my car released. On having my car delivered back to me, the garage had left their Invoice of work on the seat...£44 +VAT for the Service. They didn't bill for the oil change or filter change. So a job I was charged £196.20 actually cost £52.80! I appreciate margins and mark-ups etc. but £143.40 extra?! That is ridiculous. When I queried this with Servicing Stop, I was told their (the garage) invoice is irrelevant and they've negotiated Trade Labour rates with garages and even if I went direct I wouldn't get that rate. I was just fobbed off. This is the 2nd time I've used Servicing Stop - I had appalling service the first time too. Shame on me for giving them a second chance. Next time I'll just go direct.

This company did an invoice for me stating numerous parts needed replacing at which I declined most as I would get someone I know to look into it. As a young women who knows little about cars im glad my stepdad looked into this as the parts they stated needing replacing were actually either non-existent in my car or perfectly fine with no wear on the part what so ever. Trying to rip people off and then when I complained offered to give me £20 off my next service with them-I wouldn’t use these again.

Rip off prices. Don’t be fooled by the low prices advertised. They will screw you without mercy and you end of paying hundreds of pounds in extras.

Car still not returned, three days later, was assured that it would be a same day service. Hugely overpriced work. Zero stars. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

Would give zero stars if I could After looking at their website I booked our car in for a service and paid £90 as stated. Bear in mind car passed MOT in December. Car was picked up but then got a call a few hours later from a snotty guy claiming all the additional work that needs completing. Trying scare tactics and even claimed my back windscreen wiper was illegal (this was one of the additional jobs they said needed completing) The additional work started to add up to a few hundred pounds which was a surprised as none of the work they stated was mentioned on my MOT in December. I only wanted a service (oil change ect), I refused the additional work and the guy on the phone became very rude and then said well that's just £24.99 vat and put down the phone on me ???? I'd already paid the £90 for service and no additional information about charges were mentioned. I then went back on the website and it was showing on my invoice charges of in the region of £100 to release my car. I tried calling them back for over 2 hours but no one answered. I needed my car back so went back on the website and navigating through my invoice and un ticking a few boxes I got my release quote down to £65 ( which includes a charge for special oil for my type of car) reluctantly I've paid the £65 as I just wanted my car back and its basically pay this amount or your car will not be released. I called them again over 50 times and emailed but as yet no response. However reading some reviews I feel i got off lightly as im seeing people being charge £500-£1000 extra for work before car is released. Basically being held to random if you don't go with their "additional work on your car quote" Anyway begrudgingly paid and at least I have my car back. Would never use them again. Be careful

Overprices repairs that didnt need doing when taken to another garage. Garage have lost service book which i've had to chase for over a week, they've now tried to say i never gave them a service book which was left on front seat. They've returned the manual folder but no service log book in folder, now saying i never gave them the service log book.

Used for the first time and never again. Received a call for add on costs for special old? It’s a standard oil. Then when the invoice came through it was 50% more than I was told? The local garage what serviced the car were spot on so no complaints there. Beware if you book with service stop it won’t stop you paying less it will cost more.

Rude and dishonest - Trading Standards involved Rude and dishonest. Don't be fooled by the up front price. They will add "special oils" etc. and tell you about it after not before. Then they hold your car to ransom until you pay. AVOID AT ALL COSTS ! I have reported them to trading standards.

Avoid at all costs, try to sell extra service and parts and have to haggle to get your own car back. One big SCAM, beware
