I booked my car for full servicing. I paid the servicing charge of 119.93. During my service, I got the call from Garage for extra work [£77 brake fluid £89 filter £24 Correct engine oil ], which looks fine £190 total amount after VAT. The Servicing stop charged me 267.96 on top of pre-paid 119.93. I have not received an invoice yet, I don't know what additional charge is that for. I did phone calls, sent the email I have not got any response.

If I could give zero stars to this company I would. They are robbers. Paid for a full service, garage had been told interim service. I paid £45 more than the garage would have charged fir same work. Rang and was left waiting 35 minutes to get through, only to receive lame excuses. Told that I would have to address complaint in writing. Do not use this company under any circumstances. They are scammers Shame there isn't a no star review. Disgraceful.

Booked a service and mot on the 22nd for collection on the 26th. Paid on the 22nd despite website saying they wont take funds before hand. Car wasnt collected on the 26th. Tried to call and was on hold for 45 minutes, then 30 minutes. On hold to them again now 20 minutes. Trying to get our money back so have had to go through bank for a charge back. Do not use!!!!

hidden charges are a ripoff. avoid this lot. You will spend hours waiting to get through to a service agent is anything goes wrong too.

Ordered a service and was surprised to receive an email stating that my car would be taken to a garage in Cardiff, South Wales. As I live in Somerset and my car would have to travel in excess of 2 hours there and 2 hours back. I immediately cancelled. However, after 2 emails and filling in the online form cancelling, as yet, I have not received any confirmation of the cancellation. Just waiting to see if someone turns up today.

Appalling this is just a money making scam. Everything started off ok and I received a call to say I needed over £550 worth of parts not to mention an additional £27 for the oil change!! I also received a video of someone walking around my car whilst on the floor, never received the video of all the brake pads that needed changing. They have yet to reply to my emails. Sadly I didn’t see this website until after failing my MOT. I only saw all the 4&5 star reviews which now look to be fake. I wouldn’t give them 1 star but I have no option to give 0!

This is the third time I have used them, should have known better after first time! First time they collected the car, got a phone call saying one of the tyres was worn, quoted a rip off price for replacement and they wouldn’t bring car back without a new tyre so collected it myself and called to get tyre done at local tyre shop. They told me that the same garage had asked for a price for the same tyre so they were just going to add on their massive margin for nothing. The next time I booked a vehicle in they then told me after that they couldn’t do it. This time I booked a van in and paid, they then rang to say they couldn’t do it until a week later. Got a text the day before to say it would be collected between 8 and 10am, it’s now 11.45 and haven’t heard a thing. I’ve written this while waiting for them to answer the phone, currently 30 minutes and still waiting, although I am assured they are working hard to answer my call......clearly not hard enough. I did try previously but gave up after 25 minutes. The website appears to offer a slight discount if prepaid however the price quoted appeared to increase slightly .To sum up unreliable with very poor customer service, AVOID

If I could give it '0' I would. I booked SS due to C19 SD requirements, so drop off and self collect wasn't an option when they picked up and returned the car. The MOT/Full Service was advertised at a good price so I accepted and checked the reviews for the garage carrying out the work. If only I had checked the SS reviews too. I wouldn't have touched with a bargepole. SS got in touch with me to tell me that my auxillary belt, brake fluid and pollen filter needed changing. I accepted, initially, but then changed my mind. I tried to phone SS - several times at 10 mins at a time - they don't pick up. I then phoned the garage and told me I didn't need this work. I then submitted a Form to SS for cancellations. In the meantime, I'd received an SS Report on my Service with all boxed ticked. I assumed this was the work already carried out. On it, the brake fluid had been changed. I rang the garage again to see when the car would come back and I mentioned the report findings. They told me that the Report did not indicate work that had been completed, only work that needed completing. SS, apparently, compel their garages to do it this way so that monies can be cleared more quickly. I asked them if my car was still at the garage and they said it was. Whilst on the phone, my flat door knocked. I answered it and a man dangling my car key was at the door. I took the key, saw my car on the forecourt and asked the garage if the car was still at the garage to complete all the work - as in the report. He said it was. I told him it wasn't. It was on my forecourt. I told him I had no confidence in this system. I oticed on the car seat there was no completed paperwork, no book stamped. Just a scrappy bit of MOT paper. I have no confidence my service had been completed properly now. The car was returned much too quickly, given the number of services before mine (according to the garage). I noticed that my credit card had been billed for the Service/MOT and then a day later the entire 'extras' bill I had cancelled on the Form, within their T&C's too. I got in touch with SS. I did eventually speak to them after phoning several times without success, just as I had before. Some arrogant person, called Jason (Operations Director), told me that they would not offer me a refund unless they could send their own audit inspector to my car to see exactly what work had been carried out. I flatly refused. I requested a chargeback on my MBNA card instead. I also rang Trading Standards after examining the SS T&C's and realised they had breached Term 6 - not to take payment unless all work had been agreed and completed. This clearly had not happened. Also I checked further on and saw they belonged to ADR - an alternative dispute resolution service. I rang them and discovered they were kicked off the list some time ago. When I spoke to Trading Standards they told me to get the car independently checked myself and use that as evidence in court. I fully intend to start proceedings against SS - for the full Service/MOT cost, dispensations (to cover investigation costs) and any legal costs (although I am likely to be pro-se L) if they don't pay up themselves or I don't get my money through MBNA, my credit card. I have no quarrel with the garage. It seems, from my discussions with the rep I spoke to there, that SS over-charge (he told me how much my service would be if I'd gone direct with them - about £150 less than SS charged). Whether they completed the Service I think depends on what pressures were placed on them by SS who I fully believe are wholly culpable, if my car has not been serviced correctly. The rep remonstrated with me and asked me why I had not checked the SS reviews first - not just theirs. I agree. I should have. I wish I had. I won't diss the garage, which is why I haven't named them. Their independent reviews are excellent. I don't intend to place more pressure on a small business that is probably struggling in this crisis. It is the charlatans like SS who lie and cheat and overcharge I blame entirely. My advice. Go elsewhere. Ring an independent garage of some repute and get your car done that way. I would have gone to my usual garage but the prospect of sitting around for 2-3 hours waiting on the premises didn't appeal. Instead, I got several more hours of hassle over the phone and writing letters instead. I think I know what I would prefer.

To anyone thinking of using service stop DON'T!! I took up theIr offer of £16.00 mot on top of a service and was horrified when they rang to say it would be £1920.00 for work as it had failed on ball joints, 2 tyres wishbones and lights and a couple of other minor things. I was arranging to collect it as no way could afford that when the garage doing the actual work rang and asked if I'd been given an inflated quote (I didnt tell them how much) before giving me a full rundown of costs and realistic quote £1200 cheaper and with a courtesy car thrown in as its bank hol wkend and mine wont be back till Tuesday. Safe to say that I do NOT recommend service stop , they ignored my emails and did not send one itemising the extra costs as promised - I couldn't even get hold of them to find out where my car was to collect it from - the .message that the numbers voicemail was full so please call back later kept being played.

SHOCKING COMPANY As many people have said below, If I could give zero rating I would!! The price for a FULL service on my wife's car was advertised at £165, this is a good £140 cheaper than my local Vauxhall dealership quoted (my Vauxhall dealer quoted for all items in a FULL service), so we thought we would give Service Stop a try..... and after reading what we thought were the items included and the specifics of the service we promptly paid the full amount. At 4pm (2 hours before the car should be returned) I received a call from the Service Shop office in London. The guy on the phone then had the nerve to tell me that filters for oil, fuel, pollen were not included, he said the brake fluid needs to be drained and replaced as part of a service, he said the oil was special (its not!! and I checked with Vauxhall) .....and the list went on and on! he then said there would be an additional £375 on top of the £165 we had already paid to complete the service!!! - he was completely condescending on the phone and smug, and kept saying 'didn't you read the small print'!!!! So basically for £165 all they did was pick the car up and then give me a list of all the additional things they want to charge me for! I had to pay £28 on top of the bill for the 'special' oil just to get the car back, so basically Ive paid £200 for an oil change. So my message to anyone thinking of using this company because they are cheap is....DONT, THEY ARE A COMPLETE RIPOFF. I will now have to take my wife's car to the main dealer for a proper service, this has been a very expensive lesson.

I thought it was just a one off that I had been ripped off, but seeing all these reviews over the past week us disgusting. I havnt had a reply back at all from them. I was getting charged over £200 for some work on my service but asked if I could have my car back to get the work done another time, I was told I had to get the brake fluid changed and it would be £103 (halfords charge £39.99) I thought I was doing it the safest way getting my car picked up n dropped off rather than been out and about as I'm pregnant so didn't want to risk it. They haven't even stamped my service book to say the work had been done yet happily take all my money with all this going on! Fuming isn't the word

Disgusting... so rude and won’t even let you speak up for yourself. Charged me about 900 quid for the littlest things. Absolutely devastating and you get blackmailed that if you don’t pay you don’t get your car back. Please don’t use the company.

My name is Patrick and used service Stop to repair my Porsche cayenne. They have broken pipes in my porsche cayenne as my car returned with the car shaking. They are very ruthless that they requested that I booked and paid for asking mycar to be checkef. It took them over 5 days to even allow me access to get information on checks carried on my car. They charged me £85 for just diagnostic. I have emailed them for the past two weeks but none has come back to me. I went to the garage which carried the repairs by spending £30 on cab for the repairs information but they refused to give me any information. I have since carried substantial repairs work on my car by halfords when my car was returned. It was disclosed that they have broken my pipes. Please beware of servicestop. I will update you as I want to pursue the case

Big disappointment, didn't show up, no calls nothing, complete waste of time. On the 16th May 2020 I made the booking online for my vehicle, to have a full service on Tuesday 19th May 2020. They sent me emails confirming the booking and a text on the 18th May 2020 that they would be collecting my vehicle on the 19th between 8am & 10am. However they never turned up to collect the vehicle, didn't email, text call, absolutely nothing. Even when I emailed them - nothing & they won’t answer there phones. In hindsight it was a good decision not to pay for the service upfront. Really cross about this, I needed this done over my days off work. I could have booked somewhere else and had completed by now. I wasted 2 hours sitting around home waiting, emailing when honesty I had way better things to be getting on with. Totally disgusted! Booking Reference 1173336

Stay away gentle folks, servicing stop is a scam. They are sending your car to unscrupulous garages. They never stamp your service book or do anything at all to your car. I recently sent my car for service and was given a upsale call to the tune of £700 when I booked a £139 service and MOT. I also too a picture of under the wood before I sent the car off in the morning. When the car returned in the afternoon it was the same old oil filter, same used oil. Nothing was done not even the air pressure on the tyres were done. When I tried to call them they never take my calls. I am still waiting for a response to an email I sent. Stay away guys, I urge you to stay away.

Booked a full service, all they did was change the oil and filter. Charging me extra for the oil. After declining any 'extra' work, all of which was 100% over priced they ignored all my calls regards the bill. The headline price they advertise is too good, like most things in life follow the "if it's too good theres a catch/con involved". Go to a proper local garage you stand less chance of being ripped off and you know where they are and your car...plus you'll get a better service no doubt about it...

Absolutely appalling customer care and business conduct. Tried to email and call these guys prior to the service to discuss some details about my booking, but never managed to get an answer on the phone or a reply to my emails. Do not go anywhere near these fraudsters. It would be less expensive going to a main dealer than paying these crooks for an inflated priced service. Do not be conned into thinking you are getting a good deal by being offered an extremely competitive fee for a service, this is just the starting point and the initial quote in reality is paying their commission. Once the arranged garage takes the car, after an hour or 2 a phone call will be received asking you to pay extortionate rates for oil, filters, brake fluid, oil filters, fuel filters and work that would not normally be done for a standard full service. When I was called by the Servicestop representative. I was quoted well in excess of what the service would have cost if I had taken it to a main dealer. However, I declined the majority of the items they claimed were required to be changed but still ended up paying almost double the initial quote. In reality, I was invoiced, £278.00 for an an MOT, oil change and Break fluid replacement. My advice would be to anyone thinking of engaging these guys - save yourself some money and go to a reputable garage.

I was looking at MOT services and many weren’t open because of Covid-19, I saw this one was Still operational So I took a chance, the customer service guy I talked to was very nice and gave me a respectable price of £99 for a tyre change, and they brought my Car back to me within 2 days, which was good
