“Had an eye test in August & needed new varifocal specs which took 12 calendar days to arrive. Couldn't read through them so they went back to be remade. Two weeks later still not heard anything. Paid £277 deposit 4 weeks ago & got nothing to show for it. Thinking of moving to vision express”

“Great service at Corporation St. The health test for my eyes is very important because there is Glaucoma in my family so having that sling with the eye test is very welcome. All the staff are lovely and very helpful.”

“First class service, friendly, professional and thorough. I had an eye test at the Pocklington branch this morning and found the staff there a pleasure to deal with. I didn’t need new glasses and there was no hard sell to make me buy any.”

“The staff at the Kings Heath branch are very polite and helpful especially Emma, who went through all my opinions carefully and with the help of her colleagues helped me to pick the right frames to suit me I would highly recommend scrivens at Kings Heath.”

“Excellent service all round. I was welcomer into the branch by Kevin, had an informative chat with the optometrist, who explained everything fully during the test and booked a follow-up appointment to check an abnomily. Kevin then assisted with my choice of frames and lenses and I left the branch very satisfied.”

“Just had my eyes tested young gentleman was very thorough and pleasant who then passed me on to the receptionist who helped me choose a frame for my new glasses there were so many to choose from I was having trouble deciding I can only thank the young lady for her patience looking forward to my new glasses”

“Fantastic service at the Didcot branch. My optician was so lovely and knowledgeable. She answered my questions and put me at ease. A really lovely lady. The gentlemen who fitted my glasses was also really nice and didn’t pressure me or rush me at all. I really nice experience all round.”

“The staff are brilliant, mite not have every style of glasses in store but do have a good selection but the customer care is 1000% the best, i wouldn't go anywhere else very friendly very helpful and listen an pay attention to detail, you won’t be disappointed, the young ladies helped me change my glasses even advised to change them when next pair came had them on couple of hours an changing them was the best advice I’m so so happy with my new glasses 28 days thing that offered if you don’t like your glasses you can change them brilliant”

“I have been a customer of Scruvens for a few years. I have bought both glasses and hearing aids. Today I ,for once caught the bus, to a 4pm appointment for the update of my Bernafon hearing aids. The bus was late, and obviously I arrived late, 12 minutes to be exact. I was the verbally thrown out as I through no fault of my own thrown out of the Havant branch. Not a soul was waiting, and no reason was acceptable. Disgusting.”

“I walked up to the branch in Clifton (Bristol) this morning, having first checked the opening days & times, only to find it closed. I wanted to go there because I need help with my glasses and I’ve heard great things about the Clifton Scrivens team from a neighbour. It was disappointing to find a notice on the door saying it was closed. I hope it’s not due to sickness, it seems unlikely as I’ve noticed that there are usually several people working there. I guess I’ll have to try elsewhere, which is a shame. I hope your normal good service will be resumed soon. I’ve given 3 stars as I believe the service to normally be good and hopefully this is a rare exception.”
