“I have had excellent service with Srivens for many years, however, I have recently moved to Scotland and when my new optician phoned scrivens to ask about my history, they refused point blank to give any information, saying it wasn’t possible due to patient confidentiality, even though I gave my verbal permission over the phone! They were going to send me the information in a letter to my new address, unsurprisingly it never materialised. Very disappointed, will not use or recommend scrivens again.”

“Recently had to buy replacement frames after damaging my newish glasses. Lenses fitted successfully but had awful trouble with adjusting fit -headaches and bruised nose despite numerous repeated visits to get frames adjusted. Taj was patient and tried his best but nose pad supports damaged by other assistants and fit never right since. Have now had to abandon the glasses and gone back to previous pair (and old prescription) until I can afford to start again. Very disappointing after many years with Scrivens and good service. Will go elsewhere in future.”

“After wanting to buy Oakley sunglasses I contacted Scrivens. As I required prescription curved lenses no where else would conduct the sale using the actual frames I wanted. Despite Oakley sending the wrong lens in the first instance; Scrivens mediated to put this right, and got the correct prescription. I'd recommend Scrivens, but Id class Oakley as poor to very poor. The whole process took 2 months, mainly because of Oakleys terms and conditions with re-sellers. My thanks to Scrivens, I'm glad I didn't go cheaper and buy these online, which would have been a nightmare.”

“I was able to take advantage of a special offer and got 2 pairs of glasses, each with a different glass coating for a reasonable price. The eye test was done on a Monday, the glasses arrived on Friday, so fast turnround too.”
