“My husband and I attended Brandon branch for eye appointments. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The optician was very professional and thorough with the eye test. Would recommend Scrivens at Brandon as the whole experience was stress free.”

“Turned up at Scrivens Penistone today, shaky and upset after a difficult & painful experience with another firm of opticians. Everyone was very kind, very professional and very HUMAN. Rachel was able to fit me in almost immediately for an extremely reassuring check of the eye which had been left sore by the other firm. I have switched to Scrivens from now with no hesitation at all!”

“The staff at Upper St Giles branch were lovely, friendly & supportive with our questions and requirements. Friendly atmosphere and welcoming to all customers who visited. Managed to get two frames for me and my partner, quick delivery and very happy with our new glasses. Thank you.”

“There aren't enough stars here to rate the staff at the Chesterfield branch. I got my NHS hearing aids in March this year. It was a life-changing event, and stunning to hear more clearly than I remembered doing before. The team were highly professional, efficient, friendly, reassuring, thorough and the process took less than an hour. Since then, customer service has been terrific. You actually get to speak promptly to an actual human being and never have to press 15 to wait for hours in a queue before being cut off. My experience at Scrivens has been absolutely first-class, and I would advise anyone concerned about their failing hearing to get round to Scrivens as soon as you can. You will be delighted that you did.”

“I’ve just had my hearing test this morning at Ferryhill & Chilton Medical Centre by a young lady by the name of Charley. She was very professional and explained in detail how my recommended hearing aids would work. Excellent 5 star service well done Charley”

“Went for my eye test today, the staff were really friendly and welcoming from entering to leaving. Had an OCT scan which was really informative, the opticians went through my results. I was given great service from the ladies, they showed me lots of styles they thought would suit me best, even tried a few on that they thought would look funny just to put me at ease and have a laugh as I don't really like wearing glasses. Found the perfect pair and Tracy then helped me choose the right lenses. Best customer service ever experienced in an opticians. Fab bunch”

“Cannot fault the Weymouth branches customer service, they went above and beyond what I would expect to be normal customer care. I managed to break some quite new varifocals, I would normally visit my branch in Dorchester, but it has been shut for a while due to a large fire at another premises. Placed my order with Brett and it took about 10 days to receive the phone call that the glasses were ready. I had inquired if it was possible to post the glasses to me, Christine said she lived in town and would be prepared to drop them off after work. Despite being after her finishing work, Christine spent her own time checking that I was happy with my order. This lady deserves to be Scriven's employee of the year, if not decade.”

“Excellent. Went with serious eye concerns and received first class sevice. Exceptional examination (1 hour) and equally excellent clear and non jargon explanation of the issues. Came away very reassured. My wife and I will make this service our default. Unreserved reccomendation.”

“I am visiting the area and one of my hearing aids packed up so I rang the branch on the off-chance that they could help. Helen assured me that she would do her best to assist so I popped in and 15 mins later left with a new tube and my hearing restored! Helen, you went above & beyond to help in a very friendly and professional way - thank you so much x”

“I attended the Ashby branch 23-5-25 The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, Lucy walker your sales assistants Talked me though the process of the eye and hearing test. before having the eye exam with the optician that was in your store , that I can't remember the ladies name .”

“I would highly recommend Scrivens Opticians. The Optometrist was excellent as were the Dispensing staff. I also had a free hearing test. The staff were friendly and helpful and went through all the lens options and recommended glasses to suit me. I took advantage of buy one pair and get a second pair half price. I was always kept informed of appointments and when my glasses would be available. I am delighted with my new glasses.”
