“Charged my daughter (a student) £30 for an eye test even though she had a letter from them saying it was free. (Poulton le Fylde branch) Customer care do not respond to emails.”

“I have waited to review until I was used to a pair of glasses which were a replacement for a pair prescribed which weren't quite right. The staff at the Shirley Branch listened to my concerns and came up with a solution. I would recommend this branch, which I did and my partner also had his eyes tested and is happy with his new glasses.”

“The staff of the Scrivens shop in Clifton, Bristol are without exception attentive, informed, professional and businesslike and I couldn't recommend them too highly or thank them enough for all their help”

“I was able to make an appointment promptly for a routine eye test. A further appointment was then made at no extra cost to investigate my concerns and reassure me of my eye health. Advice was given. The receptionist was interested, friendly and attentive; I was given kindly advice when choosing frames.”

“A very empathetic experience - from a thorough examination which found a problem and made immediate arrangements with a hospital clinic same afternoon, through to advice and speedy manufacture of my first prescription glasses. Highly recommended for personal service.”

“I am a new customer at Scrivens in Broadstone. I was very happy with how my eye test was conducted. There was a good choice of frames. I realised after a few weeks that I should have chosen the option of having varifocal lenses. The staff were very helpful in sorting that out for me. I am certainly a satisfied customer.”

“1st timer needing glasses and was very eased with the service said glasses would be back within 2wks and had phone call within a wk.also bonus of free hearing test showed i had so issue so thanks to scrivens iv getting that sorted too”

“disappointed when i took an hour off of work when i work in Bath and to find out the shop was closed and pouring down with rain and staff member had no key as she was told to hand it to different staff member we all getting wet. Had to rebook the service was good on next appointment”

“After 4 years of headaches and had the lenses changed 3 times with incompetent Vision Express in Hornchurch , although having top notch tools , they were not having a clue how to sort out my problem , I've recently moved to Lutterworth and I gave the opticians another go , this time with Scrivens Opticians and to my disbelief they got it right the first time . I've explained to the optician my issue with Vission Express and everything sorted now . Many thanks”
