Ordered a 6x3m decking kit from Savoy. Did not get any confirmation email, or any confirmation of delivery time slot. Fortunately my partner was in and was able to take the delivery. Driver was very nice and accommodating. Kit was fantastic but came with no instructions on how to assemble. My sister also ordered one and no instructions were provided. One of my decking boards and frame beams were warped quite badly. I was able to overcome this with brute force and extra screws but it took over an hour sadly. Overall I am still very happy with the product itself but the service and quality could be improved.

I was a little bit disappointed with the quality of the boards for the decking kit, out of the 12 boards six have splits and one is cracked! Out of the seven pieces for the decking base two have got splits in! I will be able to work with them but not with the decking boards so I will have to replace them with new ones when I can

To be honest it didn’t , first delivery was fine but not complete , then had to wait two weeks for rest of order , which took two separate days to be delivered and now the spindles are not what we ordered as they are different from the others, they are plain squared not bevelled like the others and what we had ordered !!

Sadly handrail that was ordered had spray numbers and letters which had to be sanded off so could not use immediately, not checked before sending, disappointing.

Good price, quality, fast delivery but cutting is poorly done. Laminate on the edge is ripped off and about 4mm are missing. Have to cut it again or figure out how to do bended cover strip. Other side is all good.

Good Afternoon, I'm sorry that you feel this way. To clarify the situation, you placed your order on Monday evening of this week, on a seven working day lead time. Further to your telephone call earlier on today, we spoke with our Blackpool branch to check on the order for you and explained that one of the doors you have ordered was in stock but the other doors that you have ordered are not stock doors so have been ordered in. These are due to arrive with us on Tuesday and time permitting, we will deliver to you on Tuesday. Failing this, we will deliver on Wednesday, which is still within the seven working day lead time. Fast delivery but failed to tell me it was going to be delivered until 8.30am on the day when I had a hospital appointment. It was Tuffnels who told me and they blamed Savoy for not sending an email the previous day to advise me. I had to rearrange delivery which savoy got right the second time .

The end of the worktop has been damaged and has a dent on the end lipping

If you could send an image of the damage to info@savoytimber.com we will issue you a replacement straightaway. Our policy is in the unlikely event that there is damage in transit we will replace or if you would like to keep the item and you can make good - we will assess the damage and propose a partial refund amount. Photo showed finished edges......was not the case details said 1.2 m strip included..... was not the case telephoned, assured strip x2 would be dispatched.....was not the case

Hi there, thank you for the review, I understand your point that the image on the website shows finished edges - this is to show the finished product rather than an unfinished one. The work top was competitively priced and arrived when stated, however two of the three worktops we ordered were damaged at the ends due to poor packaging and shoddy delivery service. We were able to get away with it as we had ordered more than we needed and returning them would have slowed our project. But would think twice before recommending or using again.

Hi there thank you for your review. I am so sorry your worktops were damaged on the ends and of course we would have exchanged them for you without hesitation but as this was not possible and very glad you could utilise the items. Our worktops are slightly oversized which means that the laminate finished at exactly 3m but the board is oversized at each end just to ensure the working length is not affected if damaged in transit on the ends. Also we do take a lot of time and effort over our packaging using polystyrene packaging, banding and thick cardboard covers. I hope you will purchase from us again. Kind regards Savoy Timber

The delivery was far too heavy for 1 driver, good job my partner was home to help carry into the house.

Good morning thank you for your review. I understand your point regards the weight of a 3 metre worktop which is approximately 30kg in weight. But please be rest assured that Savoy Timber delivery drivers are fully trained to lift and manoeuvre these worktops for our customers and do so daily. Thank you for assisting the driver to carry the worktops into your property but our drivers can do this if required we would not want to ask our drivers to do something they are not trained to do. Thank you once again for your review.

Apologies for the error in delivery but the courier was given the correct delivery postcode as per your order, I hope it was not too difficult to get your item to your home address, could you please let us know which address the courier company delivered to and we will inform them of this- was this a wrong number on your road?
