I brought 2400mm decking. All boards were all pretty much the same length, within about 0.5cm of each other, but every single board was at least 2.5cm + shorter than the advertised size. I understand that the dimensions are only approximate, however I took that to mean a few cm either side. When they're so consistent in size, it seems very cheap to short change you on each board. Whilst 2.5cm isn't very much, that difference means i now have to do a lot more work.

Ordered 30 boards. 3 of the 5.4m boards arrived damaged and unusable. Called to company and explained that I needed the boards by the weekend as I had a contractor coming to fit them. I was told sorry we don't do Saturday delivery and too late to get them out for Friday. When I again explained to Gavin the issue I was facing he rudely told me "we're just going around in circles aren't we". Fast forward 4 days and new boards arrived. All 3 replacements were again split and damaged and totally unusable. I again contacted the company and explained the issue and simply asked for a refund as id had enough of the poor service and delays. I received unsympathetic responses. On asking for a full refund I was told yes that's fine once you've sent the old boards back.... poor attitude I have now sent all boards back and I believe my refund is being processed. I will never again use Savoy timber. I am left with decking which is unfinished as my contractor is now booked up again for 3 weeks. I am shocked to have received this kind of service from a so called family business, having ran a family business for many years and being so aware of the importance of customer service. I will certainly make sure I make others aware of my experiences through my own online portals with Savoy timber so others can avoid the poor experience I have received. Ben Johnson

Hi Mr Johnson, I would like to apologise for the issues you had with your order. We sometimes use external couriers to dispatch goods so sometimes damages are our of our control. We do however try our best to replace damaged boards as soon as we can. It is very unfortunate that your replacements where also damages and again apologise. We normally don't recommend booking in any contractors until all goods have been received and checked. We state this in our terms and conditions and we advise this just incase instances like this out of our control occur. Again our sincere apologies you were not happy with our service. A lot of the wood was warped and even with being left and turn the opposite way, it didn't correct itself. I shall not be making any future purchases from the company.

Appalling service received a call to say order was in stock when I arrived to collect not in stock, they said they would deliver one week later received another call it’s out of stock again. Save your time and purchase elsewhere. Wigan branch

Ordered around 80 boards more than half were absolutely useless. Numerous split through the length, couple with huge chunks out the faces and more than half were so warped and bent no chance of a consistent gap let alone uniform (2mm one end about 15mm the other). Very unhelpful customer service When reported I was told I wouldn’t get my delivery refunded (£80) and I would have to take pictures of EVERY damaged board. Needless to say I will be going to Wickes and paying the extra, so if anyone wants 80 useless decking boards they’re currently sitting in my garden. Do not at all reccomend STAY CLEAR

Almost all the wood is warped and bowed. Split on every end. Damaged surfaces. Hollowed sides. Not cut to the size as requested. Just really really poor quality, I can’t use it for its purpose and my money is wasted until I receive a refund or replacement that is of an acceptable quality.

Not delivered on 5/7/18 as informed. Although I had taken the day off work and arranged a joiner to fit the doors. Not informed of yesterday’s delivery until I had made a couple of phone calls. Having paid the excessive delivery charge I really think it was a very poor service.

Emailed to say dispatched, great email from courier to say on way be there next day fantastic. took day off work for delivery, didnt turn up not great. emailed both savoy and courier asking for an update heard nothing! 4 days later still waiting.....

Your order is with our dispatch department and will soon be ready to be shipped. We will deliver your order on Monday 16th July between 8am & 6pm. Please note that this is a kerb side delivery and someone must be available to assist the driver with the offload of your order- this is within the 7 working day limit

Order number 8516. Delivery was arranged for 10.07.18 ( I received email confirming this). Made arrangements for someone to in. No delivery, no explanation, no phone call or message. Delivery came the following day. unfortunately only part if it was delivered and the driver didn't know when the rest would come. I rang Savoy on the 11.07.18 asking what was happening, they promised to ring me back but haven't. Its the 12th today and no explanation as to where the rest of my products are. Very disappointed.

2.4x3.0m decking kit ordered, wrong size planks sent and wrong joist's- already started the job before realising, phoned to check and was told I had enough to cut them down to suit or wait 2 days for a swap.. No point buying a kit!

Terrible service would never recommend or use again. Paid for express shipping & only part of it arrived, shipped the rest for that to not arrive! We had hired contractors to start the day after the items were due & had to pay them for their wasted time twice as we were assured it would definitely arrive the next day so arranged for them to come back the following day of delivery only for the items to still not arrive! It was 5 days until we had all the parts & that’s because in the end we went & purchased them from another shop! Customer services couldn’t understand my frustration & the manager refused to contact me himself even though this was promised. I felt that customer services were very rude & did not understand that I was frustrated & said ‘well we have sent the items 3 times now at our cost’. Our garden was in an absolute state & we had chosen Savoy Timber due to the time of delivery & that we found a contractor that could do the work as one of our dogs was so poorly & couldn’t even move around the garden. Treated appallingly & I was so frustrated that I was in tears. Never ever again.

I do apologise for the mis routing of your products we en devour to deliver all our products on our own vehicles but do have to use 3rd party couriers on certain occasions and as such certain mis routes are out of our control but of course accept responsibility. I hope you enjoy the products and hope your project was successfully completed.

Very poor false advertising where it is pictured as block of whatever you would buy. But instead you just get a laminate, it was late delivery by several days and last thing I ordered from savoy timber it was cut in half and not the full product
