My 30 mm worktop arrived on time, had a small chip in the corner but wasn't concerned as it would be hidden. But the edging strip was missing, I immediately called you and was told one would be posted . It arrived but was for a 45mm worktop, rang again and was I explained I wanted a 30mm strip. Another one arrived but again was for a 45mm worktop I rang and explained What had happened but was then told I would have to cut as you did not supply other strips. It is more than difficult to cut and avoid edging of this type splintering or get a edge that won't be sharp. No real empathy at all was from my contact with your firm and will not recommend or use you again

Promised on Wednesday but has still not arrived on Thursday at 1621 hrs. Seller says the courier says it has been delivered but I think I would notice a worktop at my back door. It feels as if the seller thinks it's my fault. I just want the item when they said it would arrive. My job has been held up. I will not use them again. EBay does not protect buyers as well as it protects sellers and in future I will not use EBay for commercial sellers, only private individuals who behave much better.

awful company. I never received my order after been told for a few days running that it was out for delivery that day. I took days off work for this and it never arrived! I asked for my money back and was Informed that they will refund me once they receive the item back. I'm still awaiting my refund now and if the courier company does not return the item looks like they won't refund me...even though I never had the item:(

I received your email saying that my worktop had been shipped, so after wasting 1 day waiting for delivery i called customer services to see what was happening to be told more customers had thought the same & that it meant it had been sent to the courier not out for delivery. so i then waisted another waiting for the courier who turned up at 4:30 (the Tufnels website & your staff where of no help as to give me rough time for arrival other than to say it had left the depot. then when i get the worktop fitted & read the care sheet which basically says don't put anything on the worktop as it will damage it. (no information like that is available on you product info) What use is this, i have fitted the worktop for a customer who owns a holiday home. It won't last 1 week

Hi Mr Wassell, I am sorry to hear you have not been happy with the service you received. I can see that the goods were shipped within the 5 working day allowed time slot we advise. Our sincere apologies that the courier did not deliver on time. The reason we were unable to advise of a time for delivery is because the courier company we use to ship large items such as a worktops does not offer a tracking service, as yet. I believe they are working towards this. I can see you ordered gloss sparkle worktops. They do need extra care and attention. Although they are just as durable any textured worktop, gloss worktops can be prone to show up any marks or scratches much more than a textured worktop. Therefore its always best to make sure the worktops are protected using glass boards or chopping boards. Kind Regards Lisa

Delivery driver did not phone to confirm arrival time. So he left the worktop leaning against the front door. The container was battered and torn exposing both ends and sides of the worktop. Worktop scraped and warped totally unfit for purpose. Assuming that it left your premises in good condition why did l pay over £27pounds to have a worktop trashed. Please replace this worktop or refund my money. Regards Maralyn Franklyn

The delivery time was not acceptable for the cost as for the quality i think you picked the worst boards possible to send out to me a new customer damaged on both sides glue all over stains and scratches all over if this is a singe of what you think quality is or should be you should not be in business i recycled the boards at the tip witch is where i guess you get them from in the first place as a Master builder of 10 years there is no way i could use them in any way especially fit them in a customers house buyer beware.

The timescale for the product to arrive is 5 working days and as far as I can see our records indicate your consignment was sent out on time. We have no record of you contacting us, to say your order was late . We have had no contact from yourself to advise us that the goods were sub standard or damaged in any way. We always aim to sort out any problems in a timely manner. If we had been contacted we would have been happy to exchange the goods and we would have also been in touch with our designated courier to find out why the boards had arrived damaged and we would have been able to sort this out for you. I am sorry to hear you have disposed of any evidence that could have been used to sort the situation our in your favour. Ordered 3 lengths of architrave of which 2 had a rough finish and the other had a large section of the moulding missing.Poor quality control.

Big delay to order being in stock despite it showing as in stock when ordering. Very poor communication regarding this, 10 days passed before this was confirmed and then there was a further 7 days delay. There was no compensation for this despite this causing me costs due to the company's unreliability. The doors were as expected on arrival however I certainly would not recommend if you want the products in a timely manner as stated as being delivered on the website within 7 working days.

I was told that my recent order would be delivered on Monday 15th October between 8am and 6pm, at 5pm I rang your sales department to be told that my order would definitely be delivered today but MAYBE LATER than 6pm as the driver was running late. Well it is now 11-15pm and I’m still waiting. I wish to make this an official complaint as I think your customer service and your delivery service are absolutely disgusting. Hi MR Welsh, We are very disappointed that Tuffnells has failed to deliver your parcel on time. As we had sent this out on time and it was marked as out for delivery with the courier company. We could only advise yesterday evening to wait till 6pm as the delivery slot is between 8am and 6pm. We will certainly chase the courier company for you this morning. I don't feel this is a reflection on the customer service we offer as we will always do our best to resolve any delivery issues that arise through any of the courier companies we use to fulfil delivery. We will come back to you this morning once we have investigated. Usually we find it better to contact us directly to give us a chance to rectify any issues if a problem occurs. Kind Regards Lisa

My wood was meant to arrive on Monday ....it didn’t I was not informed by soviet wood or the courier ....I made a number of calls to both parties but savoy timber was very unhelpful

Hi There, I am sorry to hear you are not happy with the service you received from Savoy Timber. I have taken your points seriously and we always endeavour to help all our customers if they come across any problems. I have spoken to all parties involved in your transaction and they have all tried their best to resolve your issues with the courier companies late delivery . However all of our sales team here do feel that they were not being spoken to in an appropriate manner as there was a lot of choice language being used from yourself ,when referring to our company and the courier company. Made a online purchase for kitchen worktops payment made and delivery date set the day before they was due to be delivered my wife had arranged day of work we had a phone call to say worktops unavailable very disappointed but still not got my payment back after 6 days. Hope this can be sorted.

Thanks for your message , sincere apologies from us! I am sorry our normal refund procedure has not been followed on this occasion. I have made sure the refund was processed personally and I will also be following this up to make sure everyone concerned fully understands the refund process. We are also very sorry we have not been able to supply this worktop. We are currently changing our range. If you have not sorted our your worktops yet I am able to offer an alternative worktop ,but the cost is quite a bit more than the original worktop. Kind Regards Lisa

They were delivered to the billing address not the shipping address and now we have to make arrangements to get them to shipping address . Also the handles etc did not arrive until the day after .

Got sent incorrect sized order, incomplete and damaged. Took several attempts to rectify and the issues but the customer service was appalling. Was offered a small refund which I never received. One of the worst online buying experiences I have had.

2x Work top damaged 6x Upstands damaged No refund agreed - offered £60 partial refund for £1250 purchased. No response from emails - raised a case with PayPal - waiting for outcome.

I ordered a white shimmer work top, just a small piece 600 x 628mm. I ordered on line and asked it needed to be cut to the exact size to fit in a cupboard shelf. When i initially arrived to pick it up i was handed a 1 metre piece, i asked i had ordered it to be cut to size. It was taken away to be cut to the size i asked, but when i returned home it was too big. I contacted customer service and they said to take it back and it would be re cut. So i returned and the same piece was then cut. But sorry to say still not cut to size when i got home...to big....so i have given up...i wont order or will be going back again....very disappointing.

Laminated timber had been stored incorrectly which resulted in it being bowed. Customer service advised that all the 30mm laminated timber bowed but it would correct itself when installed. Material installed - no sign of correction. Savoy Timber need to look into ISO 9001 to establish meaningful quality assurance standards.

Delivered damaged, poorly packed for size and weight. Order not carried out as specified online and follow up email, basically delivered uncut. No response to complaint as yet, in all, promise of free cut and delivery is not honoured. Martin Southampton
