It cost more to buy direct than through ebay, i though i was helping you out! No knobs came with the doors. I ordered two sizes to fill a specific space, and explained my needs/ intentions; the doors dont match as the middle batton is at different heights

Hello Savoy Order ref 49774 I ordered the gates on the 1st of September expecting a 7 to 10 day delivery window paid for delivery and told my works i won't be in work in next weekend but one, as i would be putting up my new gates. You never called to tell me when the gates would be delivered. I believe my wife rang you around the 13th September and I called you back myself later that day told would get gates next week or something of the sort. weekend off work booked no sign or word of my gates. so I rang again after the weekend yes your gates are here ready for picking up you said! when i had paid for delivery. Finely got my gates on morning of 26th of September by arrangement. And I'm sorry to say the middle cross pieces are out they match up at the top and bottom though. I will admit my left hand post is a little out but still would have to think again about ordering anything else my wife was looking at one of your internal doors do i want to risk it being wrong as well. Hi Mr O'Hara, I am so sorry to hear your not completely happy with the service you received from Savoy Timber. This is the first we have heard that your not happy with the cross section pieces . These Gates are on a particularly long delivery timescale due to the time it takes for our manufacture to produce them. These have been made to your specification with matching cross sections. If you would like to detach and check the gates on a flat surface if they are not then matching we can request they are re made for you ? If the post is out it would suggest to me that this is the reason the cross sections are not matching up. We will do anything we can to help remedy they situation. Couldn't supply laminate length said would come from their supplier waited in all day hasn't arrived savoy said couldn't do any thing about it they were quick enough to take mr money very unhelpful

Hi Mrs Hayward, Apologies that these needed to be sent directly from our supplier. The reason we have to do this is because you have ordered a 4.1m worktop. Our normal courier service will not accept worktops over 3m in length this is why they needed to come to you direct. I have looked at the notes on your order and delivery is scheduled for Monday Tuesday as they are on a 2 day service. If they don't arrive today as expected please contact us immediately and we will do all we can to help? Kind Regards Lisa

Worktop was left outside in the rain when my husband had waited in for it. No one knocked on the door to even let us know. Lucky was packed well so box was damaged but worktop was intact. Probably not company's fault but courier was poor. Needs addressing with courier.

Quick delivery but items not wrapped resulting in work tops being marked in transit. No prior phone call to allow someone to be at property to receive goods.

Hi There, sorry to hear your not happy. For the goods to be unwrapped this would mean they have been delivered on our own transport. Our drivers always call before hand . My worktop come on a Friday it was damaged I told them the problem I was told they couldn’t do anything till Monday

Hi There, Sorry to hear your not happy, occasionally we do come across problems with transit damage. We always work to the quickest possible time scales to replace any damages. As it was Friday and our courier service is Monday to Friday We are restricted to the next available delivery slot. We do recommend in our terms and conditions that no trades men are booked until good have arrived and been checked to make sure they are in perfect condition. The company service was first class; however, this was let down buy the quality of the door, albeit having it replaced. I would Not recommend this door to anybody

Hi There, I am sorry your first gate arrived damaged, I have checked with our customer services team who have advised me that we have replaced the damaged gate for a new one. Transit damage can happen to any product and I am sorry your feel this is a reflection of the quality of the products we offer, I can assure you this isn't the case. The gates we sell are superior and we use the best manufacturer to produce our gates. I hope your happy with the quality of your replacement and you get lots of value for money from your purchase? Hi there, I am sorry you feel like you were not kept informed over your gates. Made to measure gates do have longer timescales than normal gates. They are made by our manufacturer to your exact specification. I can see we did send emails regarding the delivery of your gates on several occasions. 1. Delivery: I had to wait in all day. Most couriers now indicate am or pm. 2. The cut ends were not always precise. 3. Some lengths were bowed.

Hi There, apologies that we are unable to give a specific time slot as the goods we ship are larger than normal ,we are limited to certain couriers to ship the items ,they don't offer specific slots as yet. I have looked on our system and we haven't got any details that you were not happy with our decking boards. Therefore due to this we have been unable to assist . Ordered a gate 29th July. 10 day lead time for a made to measure gate, fair enough. But I chased this twice for progress as none was forthcoming. First time was admittedly only 8 working days, the second time was 14 days. Awaiting stock and chasing were the responses. Bearing in mind they had had my money straight away... Finally got a delivery email for delivery on the 22nd some 18 working days from date of order. I changed the date to the 24th as it was 8am to 6pm delivery time slot and meant I had to take a day off. Pretty poor in this day and age where deliveries are pinned down to the hour or two with the majority of courier companies. Which leads me to the final part of this review - the useless courier firm used; Tufnells. They say to phone the local office for a more accurate delivery time. Yeah right, that’s when they answer, I was cut off 3 times trying this. When I did get through at 9.15 I was told the driver was a couple of postcodes away; 2 hours was the estimate. 3.5 hours later I got through again to be told 2.00pm now. Why? At 3.15pm I tried again, cut off twice. Couldn’t get through. Gate arrived at 3.40pm. Completely wasted day. If they’d been honest about times I could have at last taken my daughter out in the morning. Would I recommend Savoy Timber? No. Would I use them again. No. Do I wish I’d gone to one of the DIY sheds instead? Yes. And because of the 18 days from order to delivery I lost the time slot I had for a guy to fit the gate for me whilst he was at my house laying a patio. If delivered within the 10 days as stated, he would have been there for the delivery, and fitting. Meaning I wouldn’t have had to lose a days holiday and now waste a day of my weekend fitting. Rubbish,

Hi There , We are so sorry to hear you are not entirely happy with the service you received. I apologise for any delays you may have experienced. The made to measure gates we order in from an external manufacturer. They are made specifically to your measurements and therefore do take a little while to produce . We are unable to give specific time slots for delivery. The reason for this is we are restricted on the couriers we can use to deliver the goods due to the size of them . Most couriers cannot carry such oversized items. Sorry this means we are unable to give time scales. We do ask on our terms and conditions not to book in joinery works until products have arrived and have been throughly checked over by your self . But I do understand your frustrations and apologise you have had to wait longer for the door to be fitted . I will look into why this has happened to try and stop this happpning again . We paid over £50 for delivery but not all items were delivered at the same time. It took 3 phone calls for me to sort this out. After 2 of the telephone calls I was told someone would either ring me back or email, this did not happen. This is very poor service particularly taking into account the amount of money paid for delivery.

Hi There, Sorry to hear your not happy with the delivery of your order. We send some order via courier and to do this we have to split the order up into various packages. I was told the delivery driver would call to give an hours notice on delivery day. I went out early and was 30 mins. from home when my partner called me at around 9.30 am just as she was leaving for work to say the decking has arrived . So I was not able to check the goods myself. What would have happened if no one had been home? No idea. Regarding the goods I ordered 60+ decking boards of various lengths one was so dark compared to the rest unsuitable for the decking so used it on the border two were shorter than they should have been and one was narrower at one end. But good value for the money.

Hi There, I am sorry our courier did not call you as requested. I am glad they managed to get hold or your partner and where able to get the goods to you on time. I am sorry you had issues with some board colours. This is normal to get different shades in boards due to timber being a natural product. We normally ask for photos if you are not happy with any colouring and if contacted . We would have be happy to swap any boards that may have been slightly shorter before you fitted them. I ordered shiplap on Thursday evening. On Monday lunchtime I was informed that the shiplap and roofing felt was out of stock. Therefore I have paid for express delivery on an item that could never be delivered. I had to cancel the order on Tuesday when it became clear that there was no likelihood of the order being completed. I am particularly disappointed because Savoy timber was recommended by my son who had been happy with the 2 orders he had made earlier this year. I would like the delivery charge to be refunded.

My worktop arrived on time, but was damaged on the end. This defeated the object of having it cut to size. had to recut to remove the damage. If you had taped the ends of the cardboard and not just rely on one length of banding the end would not have come undone and the protection would have stayed in place. Not happy.

At savoy timber we have spent a considerable amount of time analysing the way we package our goods to get them to you in perfect condition and normally our stringent packaging means the majority of worktops arrive in prime condition. sincere apologies Lisa

Paid for delivery in 7 days on 7th day i phoned them to see were it was & was told they didn't have it in sock, but no one had rang me to tell me. So had to wait another week untill i was off work because someone had to be home when it was delivered. So not happy with the service .

Submitted an order. Then was told (a week later), we will deliver sometime on x date between 6am and 8pm. I understand that deliveries are difficult to predict but please phone me first to ‘arrange’!
