“Paid substantial amount of money for this product some weeks ago having being informed delivery will take 7-10 days. Made a call to someone who advised the machine which makes the product was broke which should be up and running within a few days so I will getting the order back end of this week only to receive a Wattsapp message stating we don't have a date for delivery yet but it should be by the following week (again). The phone is not being answered despite constant calling. I'm very frustrated and nervous about my order not being fulfilled so I'm having to seek advice from the ombudsman.”

“I submitted a review on this website approximately a week ago. I am really disappointed to see that it has been deleted. I am only to assume that this is the case because it was negative - I have noticed others that had similar concerns to me have also been removed. I placed an order and received confirmation on 15 June. Between now (9 July) I have not received any further correspondence to advise of delivery. I have paid a substantial amount of money, and have friends that have used this company so they absolutely came with a positive recommendation. It is very disappointing that I have sent WhatsApp messages (to the business account via ‘chat to us’ on their website), emails and attempted to call them with no success.”

“Good product, delivery was a week late. The chap at Safety Play was very helpful and explained that they had a machine breakdown. I guess these things happen and are sometimes out of your control. It didn't arrive in time for my daughter's party, nevertheless she is still a very happy with her new play area.”

“The product is fantastic albeit a few days later than expected. This is the second time I've bought from Safety Play and cannot fault the product. I was informed they had a shredder breakdown hence the delay. All in all the product is really good and I have a bunch of happy kids. Would definitely recommend, however just check the lead time if you need it in a hurry”

“Placed order 11th June - 4weeks later still no rubber chippings! Communication was poor to begin with due to a technical fault with the machine which a delay on the orders. I wish the company had informed me of this sooner as I didn’t mind waiting - just wanted to know where the order was! Once this was rectified, the company contacted me and arranged delivery! Delivery was prompt although beware this is only curb side delivery!!! Product is great really bouncy and perfect for play area! The uncoloured chipping were almost all black which we really like! Finally here now we are very happy!”

“I placed an order on 20th June advised that order would be delivered 7/10 days still not arrived still no advised delivery date phoned 20times sent 3email no response however payment WAS removed from my bank within 12hrs of order just need to have confirmation of a delivery”

“Ordered 15 June, have received one email to confirm order.. no further communication despite attempts made via WhatsApp, email and telephone. I am concerned I’ve spent a considerable amount of money to not have any product.. or any update as to when it will be delivered. Ordered from Safety Play on recommendation from a work colleague however now wish I hadn’t.”

“Paid for an item that hasn’t been received our end! Have made endless calls and never had an answer. Sent email after email and WhatsApp messages and no reply . Went with this company due to reviews and price but wish we hadn’t bothered.”

“Pricing is great and product is fantastic quality. Only gripe would be that communication of delivery was lacking and ended up being short notice, as in 10mins before the doorbell rang!”

“Safety Play made the effort to follow up my previous review with an explanation with regards to the poor delivery dates. This was understood and appreciated, as it was clearly due to problems out of their control. The quality issue remains with excess fluff in the rubber, but ultimately now it has been laid and being used it looks good. I could have just done with a bit less fluff and more rubber to fully finish my area. Unfortunately, I'm about 50kg short... I would buy from here again.”

“3 star rating is because the product is exactly as described but lack of proactive communication from safety play and delivery times advertised not being met. We were originally quoted 2-3 working days on the website, but this changed to 7-10 working days. We had no update by working day 9 so reached out for an update. To their credit safety play responded to the WhatsApp chat message very promptly. They advised the product would be delivered early the following week (this would have been working day 11 or 12). No delivery or communication by Wednesday (working day 13). Chased them via email and again to their credit responded within their advertised 1 working day. Delivery finally arrived on Friday (working day 15). Long story short, proactive communication and delivery timescales are very poor. Reactive communication very good. The product is absolutely ideal and exactly as described and is great for our toddlers garden play area! Don’t expect your delivery on time, but when it finally arrives you won’t be disappointed.”

“It was easy to lay. The colour is great. Little one and dog have loved it. It's nice and soft when your barefoot. It's dries out really quick and doesn't get to hot in the sun. Worth the price”

“Slight delay in delivery but quick communication by the customer service team and direct reply via whatsap group. Slight issue with the delivery driver but not the companies fault. Product great and looks great and much better than bark chips!”

“Complete waste of time! Ordered, payment taken for stocked items. On day of delivery notified 2 week delay due to no stock. 2 Weeks later delivery company appeared to deliver (I wasn't home) so failed to deliver. Follow up delivery wasn't attempted due to gravel drive and no physical kerbside. Excuse was company only deliver to Kerbside. Safety Play ensured they would find another courier, another week later, notification of order cancellation. Spoke with them they only use they're local courier so favoured cancellation. Don't waste your time. Multiple false promises!”
