I would have rated Room to Grow as ‘very poor’ except, given that Covid has interrupted so many delivery services in every industry in the UK, the first instance of the mattress not arriving with the bed was acceptable. What was not acceptable, was the chasing I had to do to find out when the mattress would be delivered and being told, after the second time it didn't to show up, that it had failed quality control. This was three weeks after the bed had arrived! I then went through a surreal, nightmarish situation, a week later, when it once again failed to show up and I was sent a photo of a forged signature saying that it had been delivered!!! It was unbelievable.This was very stressful and involved a wasted half day of emails and phone calls to rectify the situation. The mattress did finally arrive, later on the day they told me it had already been signed for. However, the smell has been horrendous and I haven’t been able to use it yet. A week after delivery. I chose Room to Grow because I expected the mattress and bed to arrive together. Certainly not to have to deal with two separate companies - with a month’s time lapse between each item arriving. I would not recommend buying a bed from them at all.

Some of our products are sent from different warehouses so they can be delivered separately. However you should not experience such a delay and we can only apologise if the service you received was not as expected. Please contact us if the smell on the mattress does not settle. Best wishes, RTG

Quality not nearly a match for the presentation of the bed eg (1) instructions not to jump on the bed (presumably because of the flimsy base boards): it's a young kid's low bed - what young kid does not want to jump on their bed occasionally? The base boards and their fixings need to be much stronger. (2) Design of the racing car bed is such that the 'fin' / 'spoiler' at the back of the 'car' is positioned such that the child hits their head on it. (3) LED lights sent separately, after the bed. Not working. (4) Mattress purchased with the bed from RTG was the highest price one offered - described as luxury. Anything but. It's a really thin, inadequate mattress which has required supplementing by another mattress underneath. Really not good enough, RTG.

Honestly I’m not that impressed with the products. One of the drawer safety catches has snapped off already and my son is very careful. Plus the trundle bed has chipped paint of the main bed even though we are careful. I do not rate the quality and can now see why it was all much cheaper than other places.

Item bought Karlsson Inate alarm clock arrived pack in a oversized jiffy bag with no cushioning materials. Result seconds hand of dial Fallen of . Also the cover for the battery was missing from the back of the clock.

Only part of the bed had so far arrived and no mattress. However, room to grow were lovely on the phone and I’m hopeful the delivery problems will be resolved. Obviously it’s challenging times due to coronavirus.

Extremely poor service. It took 2.5 months (10weeks) to be delivered. The website said 2-4 weeks. Bed quality very good.

I am just wondering if I made the good choice with this product. Not sure about the quality. Every time my 11 year old climb in the top and during the sleep time I can hear the wood cracking strongly and very worry about the base of the bed narrow, especially the middle one. Find structure in general not robust enough. It has been build by professional provided by grow. Not sure what to do. I am just asking to my son to be cautius as he has his little 4 years old brother underneath.

I have rated overall Poor. The actual bunk bed itself is what we wanted, the price was fair and the website very easy to use. HOWEVER the delivery was simply atrocious. Firstly there was no contact in advance to appoint the delivery time or date and so we were not expecting it when the delivery man just "turned up", this caught us by surprise as were about to go out, we hadn't arranged or cleared the space for the massive boxes - I noted at the time of purchase that my phone number was on the billing section of the Invoice but the delivery driver stated "you did not put your phone number on the order!"); Secondly, the delivery man asked me to help him carry things in - but I had not actually anticipated the size and substantial weight of the 4 boxes which were individually VERY heavy and as a result each box obviously had to be lifted in separately, each as a "two man lift" by the delivery man and myself. I felt exasperated and annoyed by time he left and could not believe the service. You may say "oh well the delivery was 'free'" but that is incorrect as the delivery was "not charged" only after we spent over £500 and qualified for free delivery online and the small-print stated 'into property'. And in any case the delivery service, whether chargeable or not, should be scheduled as a convenient time and be delivered into the property by the courier. Simply not good enough.

Thank you for your comments. We are ever so sorry that the driver turned up unannounced as all deliveries should be scheduled in advance directly with our customers. This is not normal practice and we do expect our delivery team to liaise with us if they have missing customer information. As our website clearly states under the 'delivery' tab for this particular product, it is to a ground floor room of choice. We have passed on your comments to the delivery team involved. very disappointed they never delivered or contacted me about the bedside drawers for weeks, and my granddaughter had just got the bed matching for her birthday

I had a call to tell me a delivery slot and he was very nice and moved it to a day that worked for me. However I then had a follow up call where they left a message to say the bed will be delivered on a totally different day and didn't acknowledge I already had a day set up. When I called to explain this and that wasn't the day I had booked I was told they can call me 1 hour before getting to my house and then could leave it in a safe place - all of this meaning I could get my husband there. Not ideal but a plan. However the reality was: One missed call, no voicemail at the exact time they were at my house and then they left the bed in the pouring rain! It was outside my house for nearly 3 hours! The box was soaked and a few bits of the white paint on the bed are damaged as a result.

I bought my son's bed at Christmas time and I'm still waiting for it to be delivered and mounted 6 weeks later. I received a call suggesting a Wednesday mid January and because a Wednesday is the only day during the week not suitable, I'm still awaiting further contact.

Very poor service, I am currently awaiting a third visit to rectify poor workmanship and very poor quality furniture. Room to Grow are happy to take the payment up front but have not been helpful in resolving the issues we have had with the standard of furniture they have sold us. This furniture is expensive and i thought good quality, but this is not the case.They use an external fitting company who do not contact you with times for return visits and availability is all on their terms. For example today I am expecting a visit that they were supposed to advise in advance if it was AM or PM. I still haven't been told so have had to chase myself. They are then supposed to provide an hours notice which they haven't on the two previous occasions, so I don't hold out much hope today.

Website not very clear to order from. So I ordered the incorrect items. I couldn?t return the item due to hygiene reasons but there was no warning that the mattress I ordered didn?t fit the bed I ordered. When ordering on the website this was the first mattress that came up as recommended for the bedframe I was ordering. Spent £300 more than I wanted and needed to in the end to rectify the problem. Delivery was great and the product is okay.

Our delivery did not arrive on the day scheduled, despite the delivery team realising the delivery obligation was not going to be possible due to a tenuous excuse of their "vehicle catching fire?"earlier thatday we received no call to advise. The failure to deliver caused my wife inconvenience having to take annual leave to await the delivery twiceover and no compensation by room to grow was offered despite being requested - not even reimbursement for the delivery cost.

We apologise you didn't receive a call about this but we hadn't been made aware - had we known, we would have called you without delay. The customer service was great and all my questions were answered. Disappointed with the overall look of the bed, although it is sturdy and made of good wood all the screws and fixings show as there are no cover caps to hide them and you can see holes all up the stairs and head board. I paid a lot for this bed and to me looks like an ikea bed but for a few hundred more!

Office was apologetic but the delivery of the bed took 3 times longer than it was satiated 3-5 days. We waited 3 weeks.

The L-Shaped bunk is created from a high sleeper frame plus the additional single bed which allows greater flexibility as the single bed can be repositioned as required. We will double check the dimensions with the manufacturer but thank you for bringing this to our attention.

The staff at RTG itself were very efficient and helpful but you need to seriously address the delivery company you use. 1) The bed was delivered the first time partially damaged. The boxes had clearly been manhandled - one of them was torn and the ladder inside damaged. The second had a footprint on it. 2) The bed had been supplied in two colours. A picking error at the warehouse. I do appreciate this happens but my husband had taken time off work to work on our son's room while we were away so it was very frustrating. 3) RTG arranged replacement parts quickly but delivery let them down. The courier firm texted me 18/11 to say that they would deliver on 19/11. There was going to be nobody home so I rang them that evening to re-schedule. No answer so I left a very clear message. When we were out the following day the delivery man rang my mobile saying that he was outside our house. After emailing RTG I was told that they would rearrange delivery the following Tuesday but they would ring to confirm a delivery time. I heard nothing on Monday so rang the courier in the afternoon and was told that she would ring me back, which she never did. I am annoyed that I had to chase them up, particularly after everything that had happened. We have a completed bed and it is a very nice product. But I will still be contacting RTG to replace the damaged ladder.
