We deal with large amounts of goods on a daily basis via our physical stores, established mail order website www.rimmersmusic.co.uk and dedicated education sales division with education catalogue (distributed to over 26,000 schools and Music Services all over the country). 
We also have stores on EBAY and Amazon retailing musical instruments.

We offer delivery and collection services for all products to make the process of getting your new instrument and part exchanging your old instrument easy. We use next day delivery and collection services for most items, via various courier companies we have accounts with.

Via these couriers we give tracking information for timed delivery slots (in most cases). We also sell specialist items that require an additional level of delivery service, items such as acoustic upright or grand pianos. These specialist delivery items are delivered by our trained team of experts who know how to handle items of this nature, are fully insured, professional and give our customers the installation with the care and attention they deserve.

I wish I had read the 'one star' reviews before paying! "order before 4pm for next day delivery". They DO NOT hold these in stock! Their suppliers DO NOT have these in stock! YOU WILL NOT HAVE YOUR ORDER NEXT DAY as the website indicates. 48 hours after I ordered I got a notification saying they normally send these direct from their supplier and although they are sorry the order will be with me in three to four weeks. I can, of course, ask for a refund. I replied to that email asking for a refund, no response to email, I called the next day, got through to an ordering department who couldn't do anything other than email their customer services department for me. Still no reply. I rang the next day chasing the refund and got through to customer services, and requested my refund immediately and was told the product is coming back into stock so would I like a call back to order again! Yes, really! I advised I was too angry to deal with their company. I then let them know I was now going to order from my local Piano shop. This I have done, I have paid a little bit more (less than 10% more) and my local shop did not take payment until the product was in my possession, amazing customer service as well. I wish I had gone there first. It is now more than two weeks since I placed the original order with Rimmers and still have I two more days to wait until the money is back in MY bank account. Would not recommend to anyone... ...but saying that, you'll only find this review AFTER you get the 'out of stock' email that I did and do some digging! Your turn to write a similar review! Rant over.

We are very sorry this order had an usual delay the customer was informed within a day but this is still very disappointing for them. We have improved our stock tracking technology in an attempt to prevent this type of error.

Not happy that they sell stock they do not have. Most other music shops list out of stock items. I will never buy from Rimmers again as their site is totally misleading. They list at the top next day delivery if ordered by 4PM. Then under your item it says within 2 or 3 days. Then when they have received the online payment you get an email saying it will be dispatched in 7 days. I find this totally unacceptable and deliberately misleading. Very Bad job Rimmers.

This customer review is completely unfair and not reasonable. As they state we do say we have a next day delivery and clearly let people know it does not apply to all products but products we have in stock, as anyone with any common sense would know! This customer is complaining because we are clearly stating the item is not in stock and will take 7 days to get to the customer before they order it ie on the product page and checkout! We are being as clear and informative as we can. This person has decided not to place an order and give a negative review (having called us up to tell us)! They were very abusive to our staff. They clearly have issues that are beyond our control. This review should be removed.

Order took over 2 weeks and several disinterested phone calls to process. When it was advertised as ‘order before 4, get next day delivery’. Furthermore, I was promised some sets of strings in a way of an apology but they never materialised. To conclude, I won’t order anything else through them!

Ordered a guitar almost 2 weeks ago. Just called to find out where it was. I was told that their supplier cancelled the orders and the buyer was calling today to order some more. I was given no update on this, I wasn't informed on anything going wrong and have been expecting my guitar for over a week. The first time I called last week to find out its location had the worst hold system which makes you press star every 10 seconds to keep holding. After 20 minutes I gave up.

Rimmers were recommended to me by a work colleague who had purchased a Yamaha piano from them three years ago. Regrettably, the only actual service I received from Rimmers occurred after I had managed to speak to a director of the company about the complete lack of service I had received from the Rimmers Customer Service team. Up until then, the promised next day delivery (for which I took a day’s holiday from work) did not happen. Moreover, it was only after I had chased Rimmers towards the end of the agreed delivery day were they able to advise that the piano had been lost by TNT; I had received NO CONTACT from either Rimmers or TNT. Rimmers’ customer service agreed to look into and update me. Suffice it to say, I received NO UPDATE and on further chasing, I learnt that the individual who had promised the update had gone to a wedding! As stated above, only after the involvement of a director did I receive an acceptable level of service. The order due for delivery on 12 December actually arrived on 22 December after a wasted day’s leave, much chasing on my part and NO OFFER of any recompense from Rimmers. I think I shall find it difficult to recommend today’s Rimmers to one of my work colleagues.

We are very sorry that TNT lost this customers item. We kept excellent communication whilst the missing item was investigated. We despatched a replacement to arrive on a specific day before 10.00am to ensure that the delivery was convenient for the customer. The order was £100.00 cheaper than the nearest competitor at the time. Sometimes mistakes can happen, we will always do our best to rectify issues as fast as we possibly can, we offered a refund but the customer decided to continue with the order. Sometimes a mistake can happen outside our control such as this, we dealt with this issue with consideration, empathy and excellent service.

TNT split the order over 2 vans one delivered the stool , customer left negative review (which is really an enquiry and not a review), and the piano arrived later the same day. We haven't actually done anything wrong here! Every review this customer has ever left has been negative, there is a pattern here I think.

Placed an order for son's Christmas present on 24th November with next day delivery, item never arrived. Rimmer's told me they had sent via Royal Mail, but had no tracking number. I was told a replacement would be with me within a week via DPD, item never arrived. Finally I was told on 20th December that I won't be recieving my order until after Christmas because they don't have it in stock. Absolute shambles. And they have the cheek to bombard me with email requests to review my purchase.

Ordered as stated to be in stock then received email informing me that it was not in stock and that their supplier did not have it in stock either. Had to re-order with another firm with which I had earlier placed an order for a different item. Resulted in paying double postage and additional work.

Supposedly your system suggested that product was in stock and if I ordered within ‘x’ minutes I’d be guaranteed next day delivery. This is purely a ‘sales closing tool’ as product was not in stock and ended up having to cancel and obtain refund. If I’d been provided accurate information I could have avoided an unhappy 5 year old birthday boy!

We send this item directly from our supplier who failed to let us know they had a delay and for this we are sorry. We informed the customer the same day within 2 hours of the order. Possibly this customer has left getting a birthday present a bit late. We offered alternatives that are available at discounted rates to no avail.

In response to your posting on my review regarding being stung for £2000.00 in part exchange for another piano from you, then being offered £500.00 for the replacement which was also not to my liking, I feel the 'generous' offer of a discount of £150.00 was actually anything but generous to try and win my custom back. News flash... It certainly did not.

I placed my order in good faith that i would recieve my goods in good time, immediatly their was a problem with my order, the fender guitar that i ordered was not going to be available until the end of October, it was listed on their website as a stock item!, Rimmers contacted me and i chose a different guitar, and payed some more money as it was more expensive. I recieved my guitar, which was very poorly set up, i am still waiting for my guitar stand and free gig bag, i jave contacted Rimmers music on various occasions and tjeir staff are vetty polite, but they are just not getting the job done, i should have bought from my local shop, im extreamly dissapointed, after all i spent the best part of £800, clearly not a sustantial order in Rimmers musics eyes, steer clear and buy somewhere else would be my advice!!!!

The guitar was set up perfectly (this is a personal preference aspect) and the courier split the delivery to deliver the guitar on time and the accessories the day after. We are sorry the courier messed up here but this aspect was out of our control once on route. This review is very unfair.

Don't believe their website. Said in stock with next day delivery. Took approx 1 week to come and clearly wasn't in stock in the first place. Will never use them again. You have to be able to trust what a website says. The package arrived after my gig, which it was ordered for. They must improve to get any customer loyalty.

We are very sorry for this error regarding the Roland Trigger for £58.00. We usually send this item directly from the supplier and they took a little longer than expected. We did keep the customer fully informed. Once again we are sorry this item took 5 days to deliver.

I ordered a piano and selected next day delivery. The day after I was sent a standard email stating the piano would be delivered in 7 working days. I queried this and was told that the piano was out of stock. I was offered the opportunity to cancel the order (not practical when I have paid with a finance agreement) and after confirming I would still like to recieve the item no one even acknowledge my response. Very poor. Needless to say, I won't be ordering form Rimmers again.

The Finance agreement cleared 24 hours after the order due to a background check needed by the finance company. The day we recieved the order from the finance company we had sold out with stock due within 7 days. We informed the customer all details. This feedback if very unfair.

I ordered a keyboard online. Promised delivery, after two working days, no problem. On the day it was supposed to be delivered, I received an e mail stating that the manufacturer informed you that the item was out of stock. I was asked if I wanted a refund. I said yes please. Was told no problem. Two weeks later, I have still not received my refund. Not at all happy.

Nothing worse when you receive a wrong order, white keyboard on a black cabinet, the replacement suppose to arrive in few days, you take a day off to exchange a keyboard. The time was specified by a customer service, you waited all day and nothing. The worse part as it is absolutely impossible to get through the customer service. I tried 6 times within one day to be on hold over 5 minutes every time. No one responds your emails either and chat room tells you be patient. I still have a wrong keyboard, wasted so much money, time and my nerves. I am so disappointed and not sure what to do.

Order placed, advised next working day from website. Now advised twelve days later, twelve days after my money was taken. Don't bother saving yourself a couple of quid nor going to smaller company for ethical reasons, pay a bit more and go to a big company, a faceless unethical one like Amazon that at least will deliver like it promises.

Sometimes mistakes can happen and sometimes circumstances change causing delays. In this case a supplier told us delivery day that was altered due to a container delayed at sea. This is something beyond our control. We kept the customer fully informed. I am unsure what this customer means by saying they are ethical and then following it up with an unfair review advertising another company. I do not think the custimer understands what ethical means. Once again we are sorry that there was delay beyond our control, but I believe we did the right thing by keeping the customer fully informed.

These people cannot set up a banjo properly. I specifically ordered my banjo from Rimmers with a low action. When it was delivered it was obvious that it hardly been touched as it had an action that was sky high and the intonation was out as well. On complaining I was told that it had been set up in one of their offices by a 2 people- one who played the banjo. Just because he played the banjo doesn't mean he has the skills to set one up properly. That was certainly the case with myself. Very amateurish.

We are very sorry this customer is not happy but his statement is untrue. We have highly trained staff, some of which are luthiers and are trained to set up instruments. This item was checked by many people and also confirmed by the manufacturer to be void of defects and set up correctly. The customer was offered a full refund if he decided to return the product within 14 days. The customer (without informing us) decided to pay £50.00 elsewhere to have an additional set up and then asked us to pay the fee. He said he would give us negative reviews if we didn't pay him. We decided it was unreasonable of this customer make such demands when we had offered a full refund and we hadn't agreed to this unecessary work.

Ordered a piano from Rimmers yesterday because the website said the item would be delivered next day. Half an hour later I received an email saying it would take seven days. It is my belief that this is a scam offer designed to get people to order from you when there is no way you can keep the promise. I am very angry about this as I wanted the piano quickly. Would you care to respond, preferably by keeping your promise?

We will continue to email and call until we get hold of you again to completely resolve you issue. Sometimes mistakes can happen.
