We deal with large amounts of goods on a daily basis via our physical stores, established mail order website www.rimmersmusic.co.uk and dedicated education sales division with education catalogue (distributed to over 26,000 schools and Music Services all over the country). 
We also have stores on EBAY and Amazon retailing musical instruments.

We offer delivery and collection services for all products to make the process of getting your new instrument and part exchanging your old instrument easy. We use next day delivery and collection services for most items, via various courier companies we have accounts with.

Via these couriers we give tracking information for timed delivery slots (in most cases). We also sell specialist items that require an additional level of delivery service, items such as acoustic upright or grand pianos. These specialist delivery items are delivered by our trained team of experts who know how to handle items of this nature, are fully insured, professional and give our customers the installation with the care and attention they deserve.

We have established Rimmers Music Schools at each of our branches with hundreds of satisfied students of all age groups from 5 years old to 95 years old. Our music studios are purpose built by us and fully stocked with the latest equipment for you to use. We are also London College of Music and Rock School examination centres (and are highly respected by both), although taking exams is optional. We want you to have your lessons and enjoy them, some people like exams some don’t, we will teach you at your pace in the styles you want to learn, or take you through the exams of your choice. These people cannot set up a banjo properly. I specifically ordered my banjo from Rimmers with a low action. When it was delivered it was obvious that it hardly been touched as it had an action that was sky high and the intonation was out as well. On complaining I was told that it had been set up in one of their offices by a 2 people- one who played the banjo. Just because he played the banjo doesn't mean he has the skills to set one up properly. That was certainly the case with myself. Very amateurish.

We are very sorry this customer is not happy but his statement is untrue. We have highly trained staff, some of which are luthiers and are trained to set up instruments. This item was checked by many people and also confirmed by the manufacturer to be void of defects and set up correctly. The customer was offered a full refund if he decided to return the product within 14 days. The customer (without informing us) decided to pay £50.00 elsewhere to have an additional set up and then asked us to pay the fee. He said he would give us negative reviews if we didn't pay him. We decided it was unreasonable of this customer make such demands when we had offered a full refund and we hadn't agreed to this unecessary work.

Ordered a piano from Rimmers yesterday because the website said the item would be delivered next day. Half an hour later I received an email saying it would take seven days. It is my belief that this is a scam offer designed to get people to order from you when there is no way you can keep the promise. I am very angry about this as I wanted the piano quickly. Would you care to respond, preferably by keeping your promise?

I am very sorry you are unhappy. We did respond (as you have stated we contacted you within 30 minutes) and we have tried calling you also. We will continue to email and call until we get hold of you again to completely resolve you issue. Sometimes mistakes can happen. The fact we have let you know within 30 minutes is actually excellent service after a human error. Kindest regards.

I was able to order an item that was not in stock. I received an email to say I could get the item I ordered if i was prepared to wait 6-7 weeks, or I could get a refund. I emailed and advising I'd like a refund - no reply. I called up twice and couldn't get through and left 2 voicemails - no reply. Finally sent another email that was replied to and the refund was received. I don't think I should have had to do all chasing and don't think I should have been able to pay for and order an item that wasn't really available. Not a good experience.

We are very sorry that this product had a longer delay than expected. The refund was actioned and an email sent straight away. Card issuers can take up to 5 working days to refund the funds back to the card so the £59.00 price paid for this item would take a few days to go back on the card. We have no control over this timescale. Once again we re sorry that we did not get this item for you a quickly as expected.

I was given a complete assurance that I'd be called before delivery, and was given a delivery date, for which I took a day off, at great expense. No delivery, no call, repeated assurances everything would be fine, no response to my complaint whatever, and then a repeated attempt to deliver on another day without giving me any warning. This company, if it wants to survive, needs to sort itself out from top to bottom of its customer service and delivery mechanisms, because for me it was a total catastrophe, I would warn everyone against it.

The order was sent with a courier called TNT. They do not call before delivery and we made the customer aware of this. As with most couriers a card is posted if the recipient is not in so delivery can be re arranged directly with the courier. This customer refused to ring TNT to re arrange the delivery so we contacted TNT for them to re arrange the delivery day and once again they were not in. The process was repeated again until they were in. This delivery was over complicated by the lack of customer cooperation. Most couriers do not call when they are nearby. We can arrange other delivery services but on low priced items we simply cannot afford them without chargibg extra, this customer did not want to pay any extra for a timed delivery with phone call. This feedback is a little harsh.

I ordered a piano from their site and said that will be delivered next working day. Now are 3 weeks past and nothing arrived. I contacted them but nobady give me a solution. Bad comunication . I am very very unhappy with their services

This order experienced a manufacturer delay beyond our control. We spoke to this cusromer on the telephone and kept yhem fully informed by email. It appears that our emails went into the customers junk mail. This is something we would not have been aware of. Once again we are sorry there was a delay with this item.

3rd TIME REINSTATED REVIEW KEEPS BEING REMOVED. I HAVE CONTACTED REVIEWS.CO.UK TO ENSURE THIS REMAINS. Avoid. Ordered a Fender Mustang 2 amp and took the day off work to receive delivery, I then received a notification from DPD that they had not received the package from Rimmers Music. Contacted Rimmers and they said they had no stock, but their website clearly showed it was in stock. They then said Fender had now discontinued the amp, which cost £135 and then offered me the newer amp for £35 extra. After failing to contact me in the 24 hours after placing the order that could have prevented me losing a day of work, and still not contacting me for a total of 38 hours, I feel the offer was simply not good enough. Misleading website advertising stock, poor communication from customer service, leading to my loss of earnings, and an insulting discount offered given my loss of earnings, lost time, and further inconvenience of finding an alternative amp elsewhere. The correct thing to do would have been honour the sale by providing the alternative at the same price I had already paid, and entered contract with Rimmers for.

This review is not entirely true. We have display models available as this item is now discontinued. This customer was verbally abusive to staff who are doing thier best. Sometimes we make mistakes but always do our best when this happens to make our customer happy. This person was not a reasonable person, nasty and set on causing as much upset as possible without reasonable cause. We are sorry he is not happy but you cannot resolve issues with people wgo are not reasonable and abusive.

Selling a product they haven't got and couldn't get. I appreciate they quickly refunded the money I paid, but the absolute basic idea of a contract is the exchange of goods for payment - not payment and we haven't got the goods. I could have been placed in a situation where it could have taken months to get my money back. Simple rule: Don't sell it unless you've got it.

This got delivered and the packaging was falling apart. I opened it hoping it was just the packaging but a couple of the keys had fallen off and the item was damaged. Still awaiting my refund.
