“Having had issues under our front stairs in the office for a while with water ingress Steven came and quoted for the job with a few options. Once the job was authorised Robbie did the work to a great standard and went above and beyond what I expected. The office staff were also brilliant at keeping me up to date with what was happening etc too. Thanks”

“We were very pleased by the work the Edinburgh branch of Richardson and Starling did in our lower ground floor. Robin and Liam worked well , respected the Covid rules - as did all the personal from the firm, and left a tidy space behind them every day. The end result looks good and am sure will do the job of keeping the area damp free. Any hitches were discussed and for round with no trouble and the experience we had was very professional. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.”

“We had a few different damp issues causing problems in our house. Chris came out to advise, was wonderful and friendly, and really spent time outlining fixes for all the problems, even beyond what the company themselves could deal with. Once we confirmed we were happy to proceed with the work, it commenced quickly, and Richard and Kevin, who came to do the work were friendly and helpful throughout, kept the upheaval to a minimum and even patched up a small hole elsewhere in the room for us while they were doing the other plastering, which was much appreciated. All of our dealings with R&S have shown them to be very professional and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.”

“I had a damp problem under the floor and arranged for a couple of companies to do a survey and advise me on what to do. The first company said I needed to have a chemical dpc injected into the walls and sent me a quote which only included one of the problem walls. Then Steven from Richardson and Starling came out and did a survey and let me know that the problem was not the damp proof course but was caused by condensation and could be alleviated by better ventilation and a membrane laid over the ground beneath. I have had the work done and all is dry and airy! I would definitely recommend Richardson and Starling as a company who you can rely on for an accurate survey and good advice.”

“We were very pleased. The work we had done was completed quickly, efficiently and tidily, including the replacement of a piece of curved skirting board which was executed perfectly - in fact it was an improvement on what was there originally. Also the original inspection was carried out almost immediately with very little waiting time until work commenced. Thank You!”

“Had work done by the Hawick team of Greg and Chris. Very good work. Explained what they were going to do when they arrived and what they had done before they left. Very professional. Darren the surveyor kept in touch and was very helpful throughout. We will use them again.”

“Great service from the Edinburgh team. Richard & Kevin treated a dry rot and wet rot problem in our bathroom, surveyed by Malcolm. The entire team was courteous, professional, on time and very helpful in answering my questions and suggestions on how to prevent future problems! They took care to establish site safety and protect the floors and were very professional. Highly recommend Richardson and Starling for problems with property! Thank you for an excellent service.”

“I am grateful to Richardson & Starling for conducting woodworm treatment at the price quoted well over a year ago despite my long delay in commissioning the work. “Our initial contact was with Lisa in Inverness who was just wonderful to deal with and kept us informed about the process.With the current situation and centralisation of the business to Aberdeen we then dealt with Jackie who guided us thorough the whole process to completion.Neil Ferris who did the work was outstanding.Professional,a very tidy worker and very considerate. “Malcolm (surveyor) was immensely knowledgeable, immediately investigating and grasping the nature and limited extent of the problem - his quotation being precise to what was needed - and he emailed me answers to all my queries. John (contract supervisor) was very helpful and reassuring as well as tackling an unforeseen plumbing challenge with the skill of much experience. Robin (joiner) did a neat job and left left everything very tidy.”

“Clarke, from the Edinburgh branch, arrived to carry out the initial survey and was very prompt, polite, friendly and knowledgeable. Malcolm then carried out the work - he always turned up on time with a smile on his face, worked hard, always tidied up after himself and overall I was very impressed with the standard of the work. I would have no hesitation in recommending Clarke and Malcolm.”

“Surveyor came out recently Mr Martin Tucker years to check work they had done previously my house after more than 30years.Full credit to the company all the work was found to be perfectly sound.Mr Martin showed his years of previous experience having previously worked on the tools with the company before doing the surveying.He had a polite friendly ,proffessional and approachable manner .The company have been around for many years and have used their services in other properties previously. They give in depth detailed reports with reasonable costs for each service in clear language with solutions for problems.I have found them to decent ,hardworking trustworthy company who have proved the test of time, thats why I have always used them and never had any hesitation recommending them to others.”
