Although the standard of work was proficient and competent, the management and communication was abysmal. Costs spiralled as did completion dates. Along the way, we didn't know when work would resume leaving the 3 year old's bedroom (along with most of the flat) out of bounds to the family which then included a new born. Holidays had to be extended as did child care and alternative living arrangements as 5 days work took nearly a month to complete. Getting information from them was painful, if not farcical at times. Quotes for further work didn't add up and had old information on them leading to more delays. All in all, it was deeply regrettable that we chose to go ahead with R&S

We are pleased that you feel the standard of our work was proficient and competent. However, we are surprised to learn that you see Richardson & Starling as a ‘1 Star’ company. Upon exposure of the areas we were working on, further areas of rot where discovered. This involved more work which unfortunately increased the costs. The works were also required in a property which was adjacent to yours, this involved a further specification and co-ordination from us. We understand that there was some communication issues, but we did take this on board and discussed it with you at the time. We have since reviewed our procedures and dealt with these issues internally. Richardson & Starling has acknowledged that this could have been better and as a gesture of goodwill decreased the costs of your works. As a result we feel that the one star rating on the review is unfair.

Would strongly recommend against using this firm. Their communications were poor, the work shoddy and customer relations on the part of their ‘operatives’ non-existent. They damaged the skirting boards, broke a newly laid kitchen tile without admitting to having done so and left the place dirty. I am only glad I didn’t use them to do plaster work. I have no idea if they injected the damp course (which they would not guarantee) as they were employed to do.

Would never recommend this company, tried to charge me for a survey they advertise is free ,when contacted they told me a survey of would call to discuss, three days and no call..... .Totally Unreliable

The Stirling branch has just finished doing a lot of work in my flat and it has been an absolute nightmare the worst 2 weeks of my life the contract manager and office manager have told me lies and been down right nasty to me Im slightly disabled and I’m on anti-depression medicine and the lies and hassle I’ve had from this branch has been nothing less than diabolical I’m now going to be left with a massive bill because of the lies and deceit I wonder if this is because I’m a council tenant and not a private client The Stirling branch has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE at all I really do wish the council had went with the wyse group
