“Ever since there has been a music shop on this site, it has served me well through its various incarnations. These days, I have less need for much 'big' stuff - so I visit less often - but it remains the only serious music shop in Derby for gigging rock musicans and the like, with a feel and atmosphere to suit. The 'other place' is fine, but carries different gear for a different kind of musician and is much more 'stuffy'.”

“Purchased a Vintage 57 Fender Precision Bass, received excellent assistance and advice in store from Matt, all the guys were helpful and friendly, I would strongly recommend Rattle & Drum, in fact I also have a new American Deluxe Precision Bass on order from them. Geoff.”

“I happened on Rattle and Drum by accident and its worth noting I'm not one to wax lyrical about anything really but.......... Honestly, if there is a better music shop out there I haven't been to it and I've been to loads al over the country!!! Friendly, approachable staff with a good knowledge of their subject and unlike normal stores I didn't have to spend 20 minutes listening to how great they were as a musician before watching them execute their best licks. Even though this is an hours drive for me I travelled there, past local shops, to buy a new drum kit. I commended the manager at the time regarding what a superb atmosphere they had created. Absolutely A1 service and this is now my first port of call for instruments. Well done, don't change a thing.”

“One if the few shops selling Wincent drumsticks. Easy to order in line, sticks were well priced, I was kept up to date with an email telling me they'd been posted, arrived within a very short time and earlier than I'd anticipated. I will buy more from Rattle And Drum.”
