“This was great! I thought I had lost all of my documents because of my corrupt memory pen; I thought that I would have to retype all of my work. But all it took was about 15 minutes for them to fully recover all my lost work and now I have it back and I am so grateful.”

“While my drive was in recovery I was informed of every step of the procedure and also had a very nice courtesy email from Andy reassuring me that my data was in the process of recovery and that there was no need for concern, which was very much appreciated and went a long way to calm my peace of mind and as soon as the raw data image was on the recovery machine, Andy had the faulty drive couriered back to me so I could return the drive to WD for a warranty replacement, now that is what I call customer service. All of my data was recovered, and there was around 1.6 GIG of data and over ten years of work. “This was the first time we had used a data recovery service, so I didnt know what to expect, but R3 Data Recovery made everything simple and their communication and service were excellent. “R3 Data Recovery saved my life. I was a pratt. Lost my back up, then my hardware went down. The usual computer bloke could not fix so I called R3 Date Recovery at 10am on Monday. They worked tirelessly to save my data. I was back up and running in 72 hours. -i.e 10am Tuesday. “Due to an SD card fault, I thought I had lost all the photos and vidios of my recent trip to Morocco. I sent the card to R3 Data Recovery but did not expect a positive result. There was some degradation in the data but R3 did manage to recover most of my important data. I thought that their charges were high but it comes down to what value you put on the potentially lost data. To summarise, the service was prompt and efficient. They recovered the data I thought was unrecoverable but at a significant cost.”

Many thanks for the review Stephen. The £149+vat for the recovery was actually less than we know competitors charge for monolith memory devices with bad blocks because they do take more processing and technician time than one would think for such a small device. The card had bad blocks and is monolith. We effectively took twice as long on this rather than give up, so for us it was actually not profitable, but as is our company policy we do our best to get the recovery within the clients budget and to our fixed price quotations. We made two partial images one forward and one backwards. We were very relieved for you that there were good pictures and movies from the recovery. Hi Sam Considering the heat generated by your particular Integral 16GB memory stick, it was one of those cases where the recovery although successful could have been more problematic. Many thanks for the review Jake. These particular Samsung drives are actually a Seagate model ST1000LM0251TB and yours had suffered damage to the heads and platters during a knock. Fortunately once the platters were inspected in our cleanroom the technicians were able to release the stuck heads and rebuild the drive with donors from our stock a recovery was possible and the file integrity check showed less than 3% of the files were corrupted by the damage to the platters. Hi Paul These particular Samsung ST1000LM025 are produced by Seagate and as is the case here being portable subjects them to risk of knocks and power outages / abrupt disconnects. Despite the heads failing the rebuild was successful and the recovery integrity check showing less than 100 files out of nearly 34,000 were corrupted or damaged by the failure. Many thanks for the review Tom Despite the problems you faced with a competitor the R3 Data recovery Team were able to complete the rebuild and recovery for the quoted price, and less than the price quoted by another company who had incorrectly diagnosed the fault and when they realised it was not a software fix for £100, they then tried to charge nearly double what we had quoted for the failed drive problem diagnosed over the phone at the outset.. “Having broken my hard drive on our dream family holiday in Florida and having moved all the photos and videos onto the hard drive just before it broke we were mortified to have lost all the photos and videos. The drive broke whilst spinning and so a definite bad thing, the guys at R3 sourced parts to be able to access the drive, whilst they were not able to get everything off then did get about 70% of the data and so this meant loads of photos and videos including the likes of Discovery Cove and our children swimming with fish in a once in a lifetime. The price was great for what we got back of this special holiday. Having almost gone with a different company that got very negative reviews once I researched I am SO glad I went with R3 and Data Recovery and would happily recommend them for your data recovery. Hi Michael Thank you for your review. You were fortunate to not risk becoming one of the many victims of the #fieldsdatarecoveryscam. Fortunately your Samsung / Seagate ST1000LM024 portable drive whilst needing a rebuild and recovery went reasonably well once the matching donor was located. "I have a 1TB external HDD which has failed after a minor drop, the drive was about a week old. It is a Seagate SRD00F1. There is approx 300gb of photos and videos from the holiday we were on when the drive broke. I would be very sad to lose the contents. What happens now is that the drive does not spin up. There is a series of clicking followed by beeping (about 6 beeps). We took to a local shop who could not help, the guy thought it might be a burnt out motor? I would like to get as much as possible back, I was about to send to Fields Data Recovery until I saw a LOT of negative feedback about them. Can you help? Any ideas on if you could get back? What costs are there? Do you offer a free investigation assessment? Any assistance much appreciated as desperate not to lose photos from once in lifetime family Florida holiday."

Only two came up that looked like professional companies; the other one however was no longer trading! I called R3 Data Recovery and had a chat with Nick. I am not in any way technical and these things are a big fear for me. He explained everything very clearly and showed empathy to my situation. He was not pushy in any way and understood the stress that the situation caused to me. After talking to him, I researched the company, read some reviews, checked things on Companies House etc. and could see the company was of long standing – I suppose the deciding factor for me was that although the cost was more than others offering the service, I would not have to pay unless the data was retrieved. This gave me huge confidence in the company to proceed in combination with our original discussion & the research. In a stressful situation, one that I didn’t fully understand I felt that overall R3 made my experience the best it could have been! They solved my problems and more! We have improved our backup systems across all pcs so I would hope this won’t arise but in the instance that it did, I would definitely come straight back to R3 and absolutely recommend them! "The file I am needing is a Quickbooks backup file – I'm fairly sure that it rewrites each time & the software is set to do an automatic backup on closure so it should have been updated or created on 18th March as that was the last time it was used – there will be some other company older Quickbooks files on there but it should be I believe the extension is QBB – the last one I moved to my current pc was 8.4MB although that was a few years ago so maybe a little bigger! I seem to remember that I had to choose where the backup would go to & I think it would be in a folder within my documents in a folder within that called Backups"

Andy and the team Security House Windsor Street Sheffield 0800 999 3282 The nearest local number for data recovery in Falkirk is 0131 2151282 The head crash to the Samsung / Seagate ST1000LM025 required a rebuild and recovery and was successful using a donor from R3 stock. Apologies for the issue returning the data, we wrongly assumed that you would want the data on a HFS+ password protected drive, but you had moved to a new Windows system. Once the data was transferred to a password protected NTFS drive and returned all recovered data was accessible.

Hi Sarah Thank you for your review. The degraded laptop drive was slow responding and could not be recovered by software. Fortunately, the IT Shop were able to recommend R3 Data Recovery to get a free assessment and emergency data recovery. The number to keep for data recovery anywhere in the UK is 0800 999 3282 "This is my personal laptop. I've taken it to a local IT shop, but it failed their assessment/tests. Doesn't show up on any scans, they have told me it's impossible to recover data. PLEASE HELP!!"

“I was absolutely devastated when my memory stick broke. After ringing and emailing many, Andy was the only company who answered at 5 o'clock on a Saturday afternoon. He reassured me his skilled team and himself would try their best to recover my data, but obviously there was no guarantee. I felt instant relief and began to calm down from my previous upset. Andy quickly text me his details and on the Monday I sent my usb stick recorded delivery. The next day I received an email saying that my data had been recovered. I followed the instructions on the email and I saw my data on the screen - needless to say I was undoubtably greatful just from that.
