I was very hesitant about using a data recovery service, particularly working in IT myself, as I know there are so many fraudulant services being advertised. But having spent a little time checking out R3, I decided to proceed. Great service, great communications, and all done with data returned within a few days. Spot on guys and thanks. :-) If I have issues again, or if I hear of others who are as hesitant as I was, I will be sure to contact you.

Like most of us I had intended to "back up" my data. I even had a hard drive separate from my computer - but this tended to be used as frontline data storage and the "back up" was included and thought "safe". When it failed I thought many precious and unique files were lost. My local repair shop could not help and then I saw R3 on an internet search. Perhaps it was a bit expensive, but the return of those files together with a new hard drive and the confidence of all those to whom I spoke were worth every penny. I even have two extra hard drives now. Having R3 and all the team on the other end of the phone is totally reassuring and I cannot recommend them highly enough. As they say, a friend in need is a friend indeed!

R3 retrieved data from my failed 2TB external drive. I was updated frequently throughout the recovery and delivery process. They also supply you with a file inventory of what has been retrieved from your media. An Excellent Professional Service. Thanks!

After a nightmare experience with a DIFFERENT company, who took a large sum of money for nothing but corrupt files and spent another 2 weeks prolonging the problem, avoiding calls and being unfathomably unhelpful - I went to R3 for help, who managed to return all my files within 2 days at half the price. Even after the job was complete they have still been helpful and reassuring in every way. I would highly recommend R3. I have found negative reviews in regards to the other data recovery agency, I wish I saw them earlier.

i have had the good fortune to have found Andy the data doctor from ABC Data Recovery again.To see what he and his team has built at R3 needs to be seenl. When I needed help with my clients server failure he brought together resources to get the job done as no other company I have dealt with before can. His fast response, dedication to service and willingness to help is quite unusual. It is only when you have used a number of data recovery companies over a decade can you recognise a real leader. His determination to deliver on his goal of building a data recovery lab of the highest calibre engineers is inspirational. Despite his trials and tribulations and the murky depths that some in DR operate he has stood up for consumers and businesses regardless of the personal cost. Absolutely fantastic service. On a number of occasions I have had clients lose data to drive failure and not following proper backup procedures, and every time I've called on R3 they've done the job quickly with no fuss. They've even pointed out on a number of occasions that expenses like this are often covered on business insurance, which my clients were not aware of. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again

My portable external hard drive failed (which had both business files on and also my photograph album for the last 20 years!). I contacted Andy after reading reviews on line. My hard drive was picked up by courier within 2 hours, my data was recovered (100%) and then sent back to me within 6 days (again by courier). At all stages, I was kept up to date with progress. A fantastic service, much appreciated and one which I will recommend to friends, family and work in the future. Many thanks Jim

7-10 working days turned into 6 weeks with me needing to call weekly for updates. I was never contacted when there was an issue, and never got an response to one of my emails. I could go into further details but it says 'a quick review'. Improve your communications please.

Dear Kimberley, It saddens me that you could not see the positive aspect of our efforts to help you and you think we need improvement. R3 is continually developing in an environment much like a war zone for hundreds of stressed, emotional and concerned data recovery clients. A full recovery of your data at the cost quoted was delivered despite it being a much more problematic case than described. We take reviews seriously and it is appreciated but as a student you should be more understanding of how much resource and energy has been given to help you when no one else would. In response we did help you and at a significant loss to the company we persevered when most companies would wash their hand of such a problematic case and consumer. I am sorry you felt you needed to ring for weekly updates, it did not speed up the process it actually hindered it. The lab, it's engineers and their assistant take great pride in achieving the highest possible success rates. R3 systems are developed to achieve what some others say is impossible for the cost. We could have put you on an emergency / escalation at significantly more cost but in reality it would only have reduced the overall time by a few days at best. You were extremely fortunate that R3 Data Recovery is a real Data Recovery Hospital and does not let data die without a fight :-) All the best Andy and the team at R3 Data Recovery

Hi Anne This was a quite involved case to recover a Microsoft works .wps file which was overwritten by a blank version of the same file name and then an upgrade of Windows to a newer version further compounded the corruption in the recovered versions of the file needed. This required an extraction of the text from damaged files and piecing together as much of the 135 pages of the document as possible which made up several chapters of a book. Thank you for your feedback and I trust you recognise the lengths we go to as a company to help those unfamiliar with computer files, file systems and the complications of a finding a lost document within millions of results purely from a few keywords.

Hi David Although it was an unbranded USB memory stick, The damage to the circuit board was further complicated by some over enthusiastic soldering prior to its arrival with us. We were successful with a direct read of the NAND chips, but some of the recovered data was corrupted - 81.87% integrity 123.5MB is relatively low but the data needed was recovered. Glad it was a success R3 Data Recovery For those reading this, be sure not to take any chances with your data, our ability to recover data is well known, but if data is compromised during the failure

Unfortunately I was disappointed with the service. It was very expensive too. After receiving a file from R3 that contained a list of my various file names, I was led to believe that they were all recovered from my corrupted hard-drive. But this was not the case and I didn't receive any information about this. I have lost a few years worth of family photos and my entire CD collection.

? Dear Paul, I am sorry you felt disappointed with a service which extended considerable effort, resources and determination from its engineers to help you. The issue here is your Seagate 1.5TB drive was in a much worse state than anticipated. Despite a rebuild it was only possible to get 7GB of files and at only 75% quality which you accepted. We do offer to do more rebuilds in order to improve the image but you declined this. If you would like us to try to improve the results we do offer an escalation service which is used on seriously damaged or contaminated drives, such as those affected by floods or drops or knocks or declared unrecoverable by others. We cannot offer a discount on subsequent rebuilds and donors, it is matter of fact, time and donors costs money, it is your data to put a value on and we are unable to subsidise what is complex work which requires considerable investment to do. We do our best every month and work extremely hard to deliver on the companies remit to give the very best chances of recovery at a reasonable cost for as many of our clients as it is possible for the lab to handle. The fact is we have we are one of the largest data recovery labs with the resources necessary to deliver a recovery under the worst of situations. We just cannot do it at a loss otherwise we go out of business.
I needed an external hard-drive recovering, following a power surge. A call to Andy on the Saturday afternoon was greeted with a pleasant re-assuring voice that they would do everything they could to retrieve my data. My disc was duly sent off (even though Andy had offered a collection service) and the following day they acknowledged receipt. I'd not asked for an express service, so was pleasantly suprised to be told the next day that my data had been rescued, complete with a file list and an invoice. The Invoice was duly paid and I received a new external hard drive with all my data on the Friday morning, less than 5 working days turn round, and two of those in transit. Fantastic Service, but sorry guys, I hope I don't have to use you again - I'm now backing up my back-up and keeping them in different places. Rest assured though, if I (or any colleagues) need a data recovery service, we'll be on the phone to you.

Hi Paul Thank you for the review, and fortunately the power surge in your case had not affected the heads or motor of your 1tb Seagate ST1000DM003. Better still your by ensuring the drive was not interfered with we were able to quickly solve the PCB faults and make a full recovery without loss of any files or data.

My experience with R3 was simply amazing. I managed to fry my personal hard disk drive full of my young families photos and videos. R3 saved the day and I was amazed at how much they were able to recover. Virtually everything that was important to me was returned. They were clear in their commitment, they absolutely delivered and the price paid was worth every pound. This is a highly professional and sleek organisation that can be relied upon to help you out of a tight spot with a fantastic level of customer service.
