“They were very fast and helpful- and open late hours. It is an expensive service but it's worth the recovery. They also take insurance which helps with the cost. They had to do something crazy because the HD dropped and pieces went out of place, but they have the experts to do all the work.”

“Like many people I feel like I live my life on my computer. I'm a creator with hundreds of files of writing on my drive, as well as the large amounts of media that we all accrue. When your drive fails at the eleventh hour in transferring it from an old and failing computer to a new one, it can seem like all is lost. Hi David, thank you for taking time to leave a review. I am sorry the results were not what we all would have liked. The issue was with how your RAID1(mirrored) Network Attached Storage had failed, the subsequent reset of the partitions and stripe size. Not only was the file system destroyed, but also large video files were corrupted and rendered beyond recovery. We were able to recover smaller documents and excel sheets using a RAW scan and most were unaffected. The underlying fault was firmware errors and smart errors, the drives logs showed there had been a number power cycles and errors developing possibly as a result of a power outage. Had the drives not been forced back online the partition and file system not reset and a rebuild / resynch of the data attempted the larger file types would have been recoverable. “recovered data from physically destroyed hard drive , really good , experienced services. It was my choice after recommendation my friend. It is only one thing -is expensive- but usually is not cheap . In my opinion is better pay once little bit more, and get you data back with high chance of recovering than paying someone without good experience and finally send to R3 to do the job ,and finally pay twice ! Your SanDisk Extreme Pro was successfully recovered by R3 at the price quoted at the outset. Even though our competitor quoted a cheap data recovery price of £97 or £99 in reality the actual price asked is 3 times what we quote at the outset, in this case we quoted £149+vat as of mid 2016. The lab is geared for handling hundreds of cases every month and capable of handling influxes of work dues to fire, flood or earthquakes ! Hi Paul Your unbranded 8GB stick had a number of faults common to failed flash memory which fail. In reality NAND chips should be regarded as temporary data transfer devices rather than places to backup data to. That said we were able to complete the recovery 100% and just 105.4MB of Microsoft Documents sent by secure download. The price quoted at the outset can seem expensive relative to the few pound or even freebie memory stick value, but the time and resources of our engineering capabilities and safe / secure service is cost effective.
