“From the first emotional phone call to the return of the ashes, every one involved was incredibly kind and respectful. Not having researched the company ourselves, the 'urn' was not what we were expecting. The shape and material resembled a food caddy, the stone disc bring visible felt somewhat grim, and we could almost hear our dear mum complaining. A quick Google and I found a card tube with bluebells at sunset. Much more fitting. We are rethinking using them as a family purely due to the 'urn', not the professionalism or kindness which was faultless.”

We're sorry to read that the urn didn't meet your expectations. We completely understand that receiving a loved one's ashes is such an important and emotional moment, and the presentation should feel right for each family. We appreciate that the urn we provide forms an important first impression, and we're sorry that it wasn't what you had hoped for. The urn has been designed using biodegradable materials, making it suitable for burial and easy for families who choose to scatter the ashes. It also includes a secure place for the identity disc, which remains with the ashes to provide reassurance throughout the process. To help families decide whether they would prefer an alternative, our Next Steps Guide, provided during the arrangements, includes a photograph of the urn. We're currently working on a new urn design following feedback from the families we support, and your comments have also been shared with the team responsible as part of that ongoing work. “It was just so easy, it took all the stress that you associate with a traditional funeral. Was kept informed along the way. My husband's ashes were delivered by hand and the lady couldn't have been nicer. Staying to make sure I was alright. Such an easy process.”

“I needed help as an executor when a Pure Cremation policy holder passed away. Really impressed with the service. Was very easy to contact and make arrangements to start the process when needed. The staff were very efficient and professional and more importantly were very sympathetic and respectful dealing with the deceaseds cremation with dignity. I was kept upto date along the process and had the ashes returned to me in a highly respectful way. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a no-fuss cremation.”

“The people I spoke to were very sympathetic to my loss and treated me with calmness and dignity. When the ashes were delivered the lady was dressed in uniform, and walked slowly, with dignity, did not rush handing the ashes over and again walked away slowly and with dignity. The service was impeccable from start to finish”

“Overall Pure-has been excellent . One thing I would like to comment on though Is that a dedicated phone number would be kinder to clients dealing with their bereavement. Instead it has several options to go through. Before reaching the correct person/ office .”

“My dad set this Pure Cremation, which were his wishes! I was very susceptible, but I’ve been truly amazed at the care and dignity that Pure Cremation delivered. “Wow where do i start ......we lost my sister suddenly at the age of 50, this came as a shock as a family of carers we have dealt with a few funerals, burials and cremations but never pure cremation. We dealt with a guy @pure cremation in the name of john delaney .....this guy is a true credit to your company we live down south and my sister died in yorkshire and wished to have this kind of service. We wanted to bring her home and pure cremation dealt with all the paperwork and coroners office , they brought my sister home to us and every step throughout this journey i was involved and informed about everything every step of the way the communication and care they took of my sister was truly amazing it was faultless throughout it really was my mind was at ease so i could deal with other things i needed to do regarding her death. The staff were nothing short of amazing , compassionate, considerate and so so very under standing , even down to the guy who brought my sisters urn back to me the service was impecible and the urn box was beautiful i cannot fault this company at all and highly recommend it to others a milion percent for sure and will be having my cremation with them when my time comes and so will other family members.”

“Very sensitive. Very efficient. The return of mam's ashes was performed with feeling and care. Thank you. The box they were returned in was perfect. I can retain some ashes to plant with a rosebush. The rest will be scattered where my dad's were scattered. As was her wish.”
