“As a family we found the whole process to be as easy as it can possibly be. From the help we received when we first contacted the company, we aware able to purchase the plan we wanted. When our father passed away, the process was seamless and timely. We were kept informed of the date of his cremation and the ashes were delivered back to us quickly and in a biodegradable box. The staff have all been kind and efficient making everything easy for us.”

“When speaking with people on the phone I couldn't fault their understanding and support to book their service. However after booking, the communication was very poor and I had to chase information. I told them on 3 occasions not to ring me as I work but to ring my mother instead which they said they would but never did. I was also told we would be informed every step of the way regarding when my father had been taken into their care, when they had the right documents etc but we weren't. I also received a phone call saying the Cremation was due to take place even though it'd already happened. I appreciate this is a cheaper option than a normal cremation but communication was poor I found at what is already a very difficult time.”

“I was extremely impressed with Pure Cremation. The team were very professional and prompt and kept me informed after my husband passed away. His ashes were delivered to me, together with all paperwork necessary. I would certainly recommend the company”

“Pure cremation made the whole process as easy as possible. Everyone I spoke to was kind and understanding. We where kept informed of all the steps that where being undertaken and no questions where to much trouble to answer. I would have given 5* . Unfortunately on the day my dad's ashes where being returned I was told they would arrive sometime after 12 o'clock. They arrived just after 6 pm. It was a long afternoon but did have phone call from the driver about 4pm to apologise. The only one thing o would suggest is a narrower time slot and not am or pm. On the whole I would highly recommend pure cremation.”

“We are very happy with the service that Pure Cremation provided us with. We were kept informed from beginning to end and their customer service was excellent. Our only criticism is that it would have been nice to have been given the option to have known what time approximately the cremation of our loved one took place. Other than that we can't fault the service received.”

The reason behind not giving families an approximate time of cremation is because we wouldn't want them to arrange something special for that time and due to unforeseen circumstances or emergencies the cremation could be delayed, and not happen at the time given. “I can't sing the praises of Pure Cremation highly enough. My Husband died very quickly of Pancreatic Cancer during Covid in March 2021. There were no funeral arrangements in place and none of us wanted a socially distanced funeral. My two children were heartbroken and I couldn't imagine anything worse than subjecting them to another funeral let alone their own Father's. Pure Cremation handled everything very sensitively and whilst their was an initial misunderstanding as regards paperwork, this was rectified quickly. Pure sent my Husband's ashes home and even when I had to ask them to come back at a later date and return the ashes for scattering at their own crematorium ( I didn't receive any response to my emails or phone calls from Sunderland Crematorium until quite a lot later) everything was handled very smoothly. When my Mother died more recently in February 2022 she had a prepaid plan with Pure and everything was very straightforward, even when we altered the original plan & asked if my Sister could collect the ashes to scatter at York Crematorium. I have been so impressed that I have taken out a plan with Pure Cremation for myself. My eldest child has a mild learning disability and wouldn't be able to organise a funeral and my youngest child will have quite enough to sort out without having to worry about funerals and what to say or what not to say. The whole process of death is disruptive, emotionally draining and harrowing. Funerals add another layer of unnecessary complication to the whole process. I also feel happy knowing that I will be scattered at the same location as my beloved late Husband. My children have also commented on how much better they feel for not having had to endure a funeral. Thank you very much. I have been able to grieve with my family in a dignified, quiet manner during these painful times and that is all anyone can really ask.”
