Very happy with the tool. But...... the packaging could be better. When I opened the box the carry case was cracked and clearly had been kicked. 😩

Tool seems in good condition but was not in a box, just in flimsy wrap and packaging was damaged in transit. I expected it to be in a makita box as it’s new.

Buying the hedgegecutter: dealt with very efficiently, delivery arrangements excellent - would have merited excellent comment. Registering in order to get a third year guarantee; it was too long requiring so many details and what made me more than cross was when the name of every organisation that I have dealt with online was listed ... from online card provide, my Bank, my medical prescription organisation etcetera, etcetera. I was appalled. I would not complete registration, preferring not to received a third year guarantee sooner than risk giving more personal information.

The company was let down by its delivery choice (DML). The delivery driver incorrectly notified that I was not at home and did not deliver - sending a picture of a door from another house. There was no way to contact anyone to advise the driver had. It come to my address. I had to leave a prearranged meeting with friends the next day to take delivery - the driver found the right address this time. Mistakes happen but getting the address right is basic for a delivery company - and having no contact with the driver is just plain stupidity. Other delivery companies call you and check - they give their numbers out and they find the right address! So as good at the tool may be I don’t want To use a company that uses this delivery company.

I was looking at a specific cordless chainsaw and an internet search threw up Powertoolworld as the best value option. The value of my order (£200) qualified me, I thought, for free delivery, however, when I came to pay I was dismayed to find a significant surcharge due to my Scottish postcode (still mainland UK, on the main arterial link between Aberdeen and Inverness). I phoned PTW direct to try and find a solution but was advised that their courier called the shots. They were also unable to dispatch by ParcelForce, who don't discriminate by postcode. Disappointed, but not discouraged, I resorted to a popular internet marketplace and found the same 'saw for only £5 more, with P&P included. . . result! Imagine, then, my confusion to discover that the seller was. . . PTW! I may be wrong, but I suspect that PTW are charged commission by the online marketplace, so by my reckoning they would have been better off compromising with me when I phoned them...? Hey ho. . . Anyway, the 'saw arrived quickly, was as described and expected, and I'm very pleased with it.

Bought on Friday but even though I had PayPal receipt no acknowledgment from PTW till Monday and I had to email to get response wasn’t sure they had received the order

I bought a thing. They sent me a thing. It was a thing. It arrived. I was satisfied. Now they want an essay about it, which is annoying, and a good reason to buy from a shop instead next time, alongside all the other good reasons to buy from local shops and not online retailers.

The saw stand arrved intact, but it was touch and go. The box was extremely badly damaged and only for the internal packaging would have resulted in damages.

Parcel delivered in good time but both blades had been opened! The spacer washers, which trend say come with the blades, were missing, when i phoned power tools they said they did not come with the blades! Good job i didn,t need them then!

Provided us with the product we ordered , but...........Delivery was disappointing. We were told to expect delivery on Thursday at a specific time and that the item would be left on the doorstep ( after the delivery driver had taken a photo as evidence ) . It could NOT be left with a neighbour. In the event it was delivered on Friday and left with a neighbour ! Inconvenient for him as he was working from home. Fortunately we are on good terms with our neighbour.
